Squid!... "Slippery Little Suckers". The Snail Scene in 'Pretty Woman' came to mind post find of this most evil hide today ha ha.
I was almost Sucked in again trying to find this elusive squid but just as i was about to 'call it' i felt the desired object in my fingers.... Yes! Not so slippery now, are you?!
I finally grabbed this one since 18 March 2018. Muggles were always the problem each time i attempted this hide. Popular area this
SL with sand and grot all over my hands in the attempt [bring a rag] my handkerchief is almost dead lol.

TFTC signed, sealed, returned and on to the next! check out my tiktok adventures obie87 geocacher.
We headed down from the Riverland and had a look at this one this morning, spent about 30 minutes looking with no luck. Half the team was certain it was missing, the other half determined it was still there. Sent a message to the creator asking for a little clue. Returned to find it in 10 minutes. Great cache, definitely not for the vertically challenged!
Tried but failed.
Cache may be still there, just no luck for us to find.
Will try again next time.

This cache has been a nemisis of mine. With a hint from a previous finder sometime last year I finally returned. Looking in the direction I was told proved fruitless but the hand quickly found the goods. Tftc
Nice day to go cacheing we checked the new stairs on the jetty and came back and found it.No pen today so we'll come back TFTC
I couldn't find the replacement left by hevwalker from 2016 but the recent image shows it is indeed there.
There are two caches in place, I put in a replacement May 2018.

TFTC. Reading the comments really helped. No pen to sign so took a pic of the log book. Log is wet.
Yay! Finally found this one after a previous DNF. A stretch and it was in our hands. Log was a little moist, but we were able to sign it. Neat location for a cache. I have many memories of Port Noarlunga- snorkeling with the kids, surfing, fishing and kayaking.
Too windy too short too cold. Not a great day for caching on the beach for the boogerboys
Eventually found with a group of muggle friends. Was a hard cache to introduce them to caching but we found it in the end thanks to some assistance from a PAF to the CO and friendly and very helpful previous finder. We were on the right track but we couldn't put our tentacles in the right spot until finally some very specific information was provided and the tallest in our group made the find with a grin! Thanks to CO and PAF for help. TFTC. Very close to a FP but only have 1 heart left!
DNF 8th October 2019.
Found something we think was possibly it, but no way of getting it down as it was way too high to reach.

We are down this way for the long weekend to to catch up with and spend some time with our great friends, Dunmowin. After a rather lengthy search in the wrongish location, I went back to the car to get a torch. Halfway there I got a phon call to say that the cache had been liberated! TFTC
Nomads travelling in their caravan around Australia. We have been on the road since July 2011 and discovered caching in August 2013. We travel with a bunch of travel bugs belonging to our sons and grand children. Where ever possible, we will maintain your cache as we travel.
Based at Willunga house-sitting for a few weeks, our newest best friends SnappyTomCats came down to see us for the long weekend. How do we entertain them? Go find some caches?
No calamari here today, but after a good search, SnappyTomCatJohn decided to go back to car for a torch, then Mr D changed direction and put His hand in the right spot - just where Mrd D was pointing - and found the cache.
Thanks LibB Good hide- muggles not interested in what we were doing on a busy long weekend Saturday

I ended up spending most of the day down south with gridge98 targeting new-ish caches around Willunga and McClaren Vale. The breakfast club event at Morphett Vale meant there was a reason to come this way, and the first part of the morning was a little sporadic before we did a few of the Cats and Dogs series, and then tried to clean out Willunga. A nice day out with just over 50 finds.
I had tried this a few times before, and even getting some help from the CO during my last visit still had trouble. So while we were all in the neighborhood vicinity, the CO kindly offered to come with us to help us find it. We rocked up before her, and started looking. Still nothing, even with detailed help. While [@gridge98](http://coord.info/PRGKDMY) and I had pretty well given up, it was Team Wal & Ol that found the elusive cache. So there you go, it does exist! Thanks 3LG for helping with this one - a very evil one indeed, and off my hitlist!
P.s. I always enjoy seeing squids and cuttlefish during my scuba diving adventures - their changing colours are always quite entertaining.

With the help of wal and o and the Co we didn’t take to long to find this one. This could have been a lot harder
Out for the day down south to solely go to the 3rd breakfast club event, with not much of a plan other than to just find caches Davidwazza and I set out to find cache around McLaren Vale/Wilunga area. A nice day out with just over 50 finds.

Found after a breakfast event, with Davidwazza and gridge98. Plenty of choices, so took a few minutes to lay our hands on it!
Watched some scuba divers and had a great chat with the boys and the CO - what a coincidence to see her there!

The irony of muggle-proofing this so well is that you draw way more attention to yourself peering into dark spaces trying to find it!
Jesswrigley and I were staying for an extended weekend just outside Cape Jervis, and today was our final day as we made the return trip back to Adelaide. We geocached around Cape Jervis, walked around the old mining area of Talisker Conservation Park, checked out some wind farms, and then drove back via Port Noarlunga.
Not even with information from a previous finder and the CO, I still couldn't locate this one! I thought persistence would pay off, however after 30 min of trying to match clues and examine various beams and hiding spaces, nope, nothing. I suspect it is likely still here, but I think I've had enough of this one, that I'll return with either the CO or a recent finder. Cheers for the small adventure.

It was a nice day to geocache on Proclamation Day, so we headed south around Port Noarlunga.
I thought this may be a daring one to find on such a nice and crowded day down at Port Noarlunga. Had a 5 min looking around the structure for the cache, and alas it eluded us today. It may still be there as I don't think I was 100% across the structure, so I will watch for now, cheers.

i came with my dad after time on the beach. PhoenixFlare was there as well. she made the find.
Gave this one a shot and eventually found the prize with some reaching help.

logging a find on this one for the mini maker. we found it after the Meet & Greet in Port Noarlunga event. Spent 1.5 hours making sand castles less than 10 meters from gz. I got silver on this one and it's current position is harder than i remember it.

On holiday with the family (Barking Bron & Super O) doing a tour from Sydney along the coast to Melbourne and on to Adelaide.
Whilst the kids went paddling in the sea i had a quick look but could not spot the cache. Seems you need to either come with a group or with a previous finder looking at the past logs

For new geocahcers with very few finds, please note the * rating for this cache. It is not going to be an easy find.
{18/3/18} Sat myself down and had a think about attempting this one with all the Muggles about but with Stealth the FBI would be envious of, I had a crack anyway. I looked in multiple possible spots but came up empty handed today. Damn Muggles never make it easy, but a failed attempt is a DNF so a DNF it is, no excuses lol Thanks for the challenge anyway, 3LG............ I will be back
On another note.. i had parked next to the McKee Clans geomobile my muggle driver couldnt understand why this excited my country mind..
WOW ! Lots of places to hide a cache here, so worked out GZ from above and expanded our search area from there [8].
Went back to the vehicle to get a torch while Mrs DISK stopped to read some logs . Came back and an extra hint had been found - one that didn't require the torch (although I could have used it if I wanted), but helps to have long arms [^].
Quickly located and surprise: NOT a nano . TNLNSL.
Rewarded ourselves with a leisurely walk out to the end of the jetty [^].
Thanks 3LG.

Out and about doing some fishing on the jetty nearby, no luck with the fish but we did manage to get a Southern Calamari Squid with the help of muggle brother who had a height advantage.

My second attempt to locate this cache.
Today even caching with the owners it took a bit of searching.
A bit of cache creep perhaps.
Love visiting this area and a fav point from me.
The ocean views were great and a lovely breeze blowing along the coast.

Went for a wee walk to find this one while in the area. Thankfully I was with someone who had a little more height than me TFTC 4/09/2016 9:00 am Find #1544
I was on a special tour today seeking out some of the more difficult to find southern caches with a great group of cachers. A lot of fun was had chasing elephants, lifting lots of rocks, cursing rocks , looking for micros, attending a lunch event and we even saw Superman on our travels .
I'd tried to find this one once before with JJ52 to no avail - so many hidey spots here!
Today was a different story with a previous finder with us the calamari was soon hooked & hauled from the ocean

A group find with locus cache, Laighside Legends, froghoppin, Ismartis, and SA Sewer Rats as we neared the end of a day of caching in the southern suburbs. I had been here before (on my own) as it neared dark and had no luck, so I was pleased to be the one to find this cache with the group today. TNLNSL TFTC
Out with a small group of searchers today with the aim of seeking a few of the challenging to find micros down south and any others along our path. Found as the sun was setting.

Out for the day with a few geocachers who like me, all had rocks in their heads
Lunch was an event, so by day's end I had 1 event attended , 2 DNFs and 20 found caches for 20 cool smilies
My son, daughter-in-law and grandchildren also attended the event [:X]
Throughout the day, we geocachers saw an elephant , superman and a geocacher (me ) sitting on a cache
No squid was eaten today but this cache was found!

I was in the area for a family do and afterwards went to the beach to check out the treasure prospects.
Saw some familiar characters in hevwalker, cpwanderer and clare007 who graciously allowed me to tag along for the ride.
After much searching we declared a phone call was required to confirm the cache was lost.
Pretty soon a replacement was on its way.
Thanks for letting me tag along guys!

After a long search with Xii42, hevwalker, and CPWanderer we admitted defeat and decided to confirm it's status by contacting the Co. Eventually it was confimed that the cache was indeed gone. rod81w came to the rescue by producing a replacment cache & log for us to sign. Thanks for bringing us here 3LG
Arrived at the GZ with clare007 and hevwalker and as we approached we ran into ii42 who just happened to have spotted us as we pulled up. The four of us searched for ages and then called the CO. This confirmed that the cache was almost certainly gone ..... possibly washed away in the huge tides a while back. The CO called on Rod81w who turned up in a matter of minutes to confirm the cache was gone .... and to supply a replacement!! A bugger of a location as its almost always busy .... so very pleased to have a smiley here!!!
Searching with CPwanderer, clare007 & ii42, who joined us when she spotted us in the carpark...
Looking, looking, I think the Calamari Squid was washed back into the ocean...
facetimed the CO...couldn't see it...isn't technology great...he called Rod81w who made his way down with a replacement...we signed the logbook & after a bit of a chat we were all on our way...
Thanks for the cache & the adventure 3LG

We were having some fun fossicking around, Ratbag 2, Apty and I, but no find. Ratbag 2 rendered me incapacitated by asking for me to hand him the Stick Of Smiting By Poke (I couldn't breathe for laughing), and then Ratbag 1 finished his game and it was time to collect him. Oh well, next time.
I had been here before without finding the cache so today with Rod81w I came back for another look. [^]
Cache was found but not where I was expecting it to be. [?] Great to have this one crossed off my close to home list.
Thanks for the cache 3LG.

No luck today in my Feb 29 search. Will have to log a different one today. Too many Muggles here.
No smiley for us this morning
Widened seach frpm gz but no luck
Beach goers now arriving
The BIG RATS wete a bit of a deterrent also to go too far up and under

I just had some dinner at the local Indian - yep, the Harvest place. I needed to walk of the Butter Chicken and Vindaloo. It was Saturday Night, dark and the local photography club had their cameras down at the beach - pointing towards GZ. Well the yonder jetty.
Lucky it was dark as a dogs guts around GZ. No torch tonight - just feel. No photos of Astro!
And feel it I did. A juicy big squid! [:o]
Clear skies from TeamAstro!!

I'm dubbing this one "animal facts about rats" hehe well let's just say when one ran over my foot at sunset I abandoned searching after sliding down the embankment and fishermen laughing their heart out haha thanks for the adventure though
We had a pretty good look today, but the Muggles were swarming, and GPS lock was terrible.
We'll be back for this one.

Found with Csaba! and SupaOrange before I had a caching name. A very late log. Turtle out.
Out with Mattycat and after a meal off wedges some Calamari was needed, no sooner had we reached GZ when a tug of the line and Mattycat reeled in the cache within seconds found in the first place he looked and thats a fact. TFTC 3LG

Down at the beach today. No dogs allowed here, so we didn't have long to search...
Only having the app to use, and not the trusty GPSr, ot was a painstaking task to find, since the app wanted us here, then there, then back again and never settled in one spot!
Found it eventually in the last place we looked, but not the first time looked there, dodging muggles as we went...
Can see why Lava had trouble!
