StreetWalker had not found this cache a few days ago, so we decided to have a joint assault today. Sadly the curse of the 1 diff cache strikes again, and we had to admit defeat. Pity we had not read the log about the cache being close to the path before we started our search.
This took a wee bit longer to find mainly due to the fact that there were a number of trees felled in the vicinity and as such I wasn't really sure where to start my search. Used a TaF previous finder and whilst waiting on a reply put my hands on the cache. The contents were very wet so was unable to sign log but attach an image of the cache. Is a real shame these DoC caches are poorly maintained as could be a real bonus for them.
Could not find. There are a few tress that have cut down here. The area has generaly been disturbed. Is the cache still here?
Nice area for this cache and the beautifully clear stream nearby, yes all very wet hear but made a lovely walk. interrupted by running muggles but all good. TFTH
Tftc. Second time looking here with Unbrokensoul1011. Bought my ChefJosh1990 sister (who's first cashe hunt it was), who found it. Took a swap and replayed it with a cool watergun
Tftc. Second time looking here with Unbrokensoul1011. Bought my sister, who found it with help from photos from other cashers. Swaps aswell
Lovely spot. Found quite quickly once we looked on the right side of the path:)
Out and about finding a few caches before I head to work with morning. I nice place for a walkabout. Found the cache after a short search but unfortunately the log is very wet. I tried to make a mark on it but not sure if its visible. TFTC, Biggles.
Cachelet #3 and I had a free morning. We haven't done this walk for ages. Come to think of it I think this is C#3's first visit. We parked up and had a lovely walk. Nice quick find at GZ. Headed back to the car making walking sticks, looking for fish and having 'rests' at the park benches along the way. We didn't see any baby water fowl.
Thanks for the cache CHCH Botanic Gardens.

A little of the track but pretty straight forward, moisture has gotten inside so needs maintenance
Took a bit of looking, but pretty straightforward in the end. Cheers
Found on a lovely Sunday afternoon drive around Christchurch.
Thanks to all of the CO's for the hides. Cheers.

Could not find straight away and some of the comments from others suggested coordinates were not right. However in the end the coordinates were pretty spot on. Do need at least one foot off the path to find.
Spent far too long looking for it with 4 adults and 2 kids. Perhaps all the leaf has burried it. I will be back!
Very excited wee girl once she saw what was inside. Likes the caches that have swaps. Trackable left also
Found another cache here when we were looking.
Was nice to meet you both at this lovely spot.
A clever cache in a cool place.
Thank you

Out for a lovely walk with my Grandson- he loves these ones that involve a walk in nature. He laid hands on it for us- and then we saw someone else approaching- looking intently at phone/gps!- good laugh and introductions. Always nice to meet another cacher. tftc
It was busy here today and searching was done stealthily between groups of passing muggles. The cache was well stocked with stickers and junior cacher was also delighted to find a torch in the cache, thank you very much DOC! We enjoyed our walk in the reserve, the river was surprisingly clear. Thank you for placing a cache along this great walkway.
Fairly quick find out on a long lunchtime run to partake in the Conservation Week fun. Tftc!
A brisk walk in the dark to get this Conservation week cache. Already scored me a torch at another but someone ought to come visit this cache as there's still one there! Tftc DOC!
Loaded up the cache with DOC prizes and competition entries for the 2016 Conservation Week competition. Enjoy and good luck!
We all felt a bit low and sleepy this arvo, so with inspiration form the D.O.C, we decided to head out and stretch those legs. TFTC

Cache for the day time.
This time I was organised enough to grab something on the way home from work - and not that tired that I had to make it home for a nap first!!!
Cache here was a nice stroll - and on a pretty nice day too - great to get some post work fresh air before the sun goes down!!
It was then not too tricky a find - though someone did pass my as I was searching - she crept up on me! And I got the weirdest look - I suppose the more pregnant I get, the weirder the looks seem to be getting as to what I'm doing in the bushes!!!

Another excellent visit back to Christchurch with tmann421 checking out some sights and collecting some caches along the way.
A bit of a trek to get this one. There were some tree cutters in the area, but managed to find, log and replace without them seeing.

Cloudy windy and muggle heavy my phone had me going up and down all over the show. Finally took a moment to just think and cache was soon located. Thanks for the adventure.
Lovely walk along an easy path in the autumn. Leaves made it a bit of fun, but finally was able to show husband what I've been out rooting around for. TFTC
The target of my walk this morning. I finished a job nearby and decided to make the most of the fine weather. Got lost on the return journey but had located the cache by that point.
We found it after way too much looking. We did have to take a break and sit down.
I thought it was a bit unusual to have a hint hidden in a 'write note' at the bottom of the log, but thanks to that and some helpful logs, the cache was a very quick find.
Found on a stroll in this very nice reserve with the geo-daughter and geo-baby and a muggle friend (who I thought was quite impressed with my little hobby). While signing the log I was greeted by a friendly dog walker who asked if we have found the treasure under the tree (the locals using the reserve must be aware of the cache).

This reserve is a regular destination for me whenever I'm in town. Nice to see a new cache here. TFTC.
One of three dnf s in the area! I am beginning to think I am not good at this game!
Nice place to visit, (but could do with a bit more signage) geo dog enjoyed a run in the dog park

After walking all around the reserve searching for caches it was nice to stop here and rest. A good spot for a cache, easy to find and still nicely concealed. Tftc.
Stopped and pretended to tie shoelace while several people went by, nice find, tftc!
Had to drive out to the vicinity for a delivery so picked this cache to grab for the day. Took a little short cut to GZ where I just over thought the hide a little and spent about 5 minutes looking here and there with no success. Stood back let the GPS settle and zeroed in again on the cache and this time looked for something a little less "hidden" and there it was. Nice to have a little wander through the area again.
Took the geodog to the park for a run before tea so took a detour after to grab this. Tftc
After performing maintenance on one of caches I went for a little walk through the Styx Mill Reserve to seek this cache. Amazed at the clarity of the water in the nearby stream. Thank you CHCH Botanic Gardens for bringing me back here.
Out for a bit of a walk somehow I ended up over this side of town after a coffee gathering....
Lovely track; saw a couple with their rug spread near the stream, having a picnic lunch - great thing to do.
Thanks,CHCH Botanic Gardens - this is my 1st of the series. Not much of a 1 for selfies.....

Mrs TG wanted some time to contemplate her thesis so I packed the boys up with some morning tea and headed off into the day. After enjoying a mornings wander around Willowbank we popped along for a wee walk through Styx mill reserve...live these tracks. Nice and fresh from the mornings rain. Nice hide. Cheers.
Ducked in for a sneaky cache on the way home from work (well, I SAY on the way... ). An easy enough find after I widened my search. The trees were wreaking havoc on my (phone) GPS as the cache was 24m from ground zero for me. Got a pic with the info card inside the cache (not sure if that was the keyring or if it was missing). #1 of the DoC challenge for me.

Came down to Christchurch for the 2015 MEGA with a group of caching buddies for the weekend. My first MEGA, and it was fantastic- loved every minute, the caching, the events, meeting other like-minded crazies (sorry, I mean cachers!!!). Our group found 283 caches throughout the course of the of the weekend, so apologies for the cut and paste logs- but it's going to take me hours to log them all!!!! All logs were signed as SEAC (South East Auckland Crew), to reflect our home caching base!
HUGE thanks to all involved in putting on the MEGA event, and also to all of the Chch CO's for the effort gone to in their hides- we found some awesome caches, including fantastic hides, and cleverly done camo.... well done Christchurch, you're an awesome bunch!
Day four of our MEGA trip, and our mission today was to find as many caches as we could before we had to get to the airport for our flight home. Went for a nice little stroll through this reserve to look for a couple of caches. This one took a few minutes of searching, but we got there! Thanks.

Day four and final day of our MEGA weekend and having to drop the cars off before our flight home in a few hours, so time for just a few more caches....

Part of the “South East Auckland Crew” here for the Christchurch Mega. All logs done as “SEAC”. Sorry for the Generic logs…but when logging 200 in a day it can be a bit much. But thank you so much for placing all these awesome caches
Day 4 of our epic journey from Auckland to the Christchurch MEGA. The South East Auckland Crew (SEAC) was formed for the weekend. Our last day saw us with a couple of free hours to cache on our way to the airport. We made the most of this and at times we were running between caches.
Sorry for the cut and paste logs but we would like to extend many thanks to the local CO’s for their imagination and creativity!

Found today on our way out here to the Christchurch Mega event. Love these doc caches. Lovely area for a walk. Introduced 2 curious walkers to geocaching
Went in several wrong directions before we found the correct trail after that it was a quick find. TFTC
This was my first Doc cache. Thankfully the rain had cleared so I went for a walk with mum. It took us a little search before we found it. Love this series Botanic Gardens Doc. We took a photo with the piece of cardboard. Hopefully this was the key ring.
Walked in from the Doggy Car Park, and found the Cache before to long, but typical for us,while signing the Log Book two jogging Muggles came from out of nowhere. What must they have thought we were doing!!Once out of sight it was quickly put back and we scarped..TFTH
What a difference a new set of co ords make!!! Found quite smartly and no need, as indicated, to leave the path. Love the new containers. Thanks.
It's great to see councils getting people outside with Geocaching. Good placement too, encourages visitors to do the whole loop. Thanks!
CHCH Botanic Gardens - you are awesome. a lovely walk through styx mill conservation reserve and found this cache. placed in an awesome spot and so great to just be in nature. thank you for the amazing find.

We hide our heads in shame;-- fancy not being able to find a D1!!!!! Thought oh well let's not leave the path but search up and down. Still no luck. Sack cloth and ashes time!!
Fantastic to see "public service" bodies supporting this pastime.....thanks
