### **OWNER MAINTENANCE REQUIRED?** ###

----------

This cache appears to be in need of owner intervention as there are one or more comments in regard to the accuracy of the cache co-ordinates. The cache has been temporarily disabling so as to stop it showing up on search lists and to give the owner an opportunity to check on the cache, and take whatever action is necessary.

A basic tenet of geocaching is that listings must contain accurate GPS coordinates. At the moment it would seem that this requirement is not being met in regard to this cache, see the guideline here: [**Listings must contain accurate GPS coordinates.**](http://www.geocaching.com/about/guidelines.aspx#coordinates) Could you please update the listing with accurate coordinates? A how to is here: [**How do I update coordinates for my geocache?**](http://support.groundspeak.com/index.php?pg=kb.page&id=61)

Prompt attention by cache owners to any log that indicates anything could be amiss is greatly appreciated by all seekers. The guideline advises; ***"if you can't check/fix it straight away then Disable it till you can."*** see here: [**Owner is responsible for visits to the physical location,**](http://www.geocaching.com/about/guidelines.aspx#cachemaintenance ) and here's how; [**Temporarily Disable and Enable,**](http://support.groundspeak.com/index.php?pg=kb.page&id=235) also check out this Blog: [**Helpful Tips To Keep In Mind As A Geocache Owner.**](http://www.geocaching.com/blog/2015/03/you-hid-your-first-geocache-now-what/)

Please respond to this situation by **10th May** to prevent the cache from being archived for non-responsiveness. If you require more time, please be sure to post a "Write Note" log (not an email) explaining the situation and indicating a date when you believe the situation will be resolved.

**And don't forget,** once you have addressed the issue, post both an "Owner Maintenance" log, see here; [**Removing the Needs Maintenance Icon**](http://support.groundspeak.com/index.php?pg=kb.page&id=404) and an "Enable Listing" log, see here; [**Temporarily Disable and Enable**](https://support.groundspeak.com/index.php?pg=kb.page&id=235 ) to get your cache up and running again.

Couldn't find, didn't get the clue either

07-Apr-19
Disappointing, but couldn't find this one. Maybe it was next to the new fence or trees and has been removed.

07-Apr-19
Gps is out by a lot

23-Mar-19
This geocache requires actual maintenance, not just an “Owner Maintenance” log. Co ordinates need to be updated.

This geocacher reported that there is a problem with this cache.

23-Mar-19
If it was not for previous posts I would not have found it, coordinates still not updated. TFTC

Thanks for letting me know. Going down Monday to fix co-ords

*6 Mar 2019, Found @4:13 pm, Find # 2514.*

My second attempt here and a little frustrating as previously I had found what I thought was the cache guardian minus the cache. It was nowhere to be seen today. I did get there in the end, but I was about 24 m out when I found the cache.

**Thanks to melandphill for placing this cache.**

Found today after going straight to Day1976’s coords. A nice hide in a little used park that I’ve like driven by thousands of times...! TFTC

Find 1990
Went to listed coords and this proved negative. Thanks to a recent cacher who noted a different set of coords. These proved spot on and yes 26 metres. Once at this spot everything went well for the find. Log signed and all back where found.

Thankyou for letting me know. I have been down a couple of times but that was a little while ago.

I will go down there with my GPS and check it out

Its been said numerous times that the co ordinates for this geocache are off. We found it 26m away from where the co ordinates are leading people.

The CO needs to take better co ordinates here.

The coords are 26m off. I came to look once before on an evening walk (as I just moved nearby) but there was a child and mum on the playground, so today day1976 and I went and found it after spending far too long trying to work out the multi on the other side of the road, and we wanted a smilie for the day.

2nd attempt at this cache. Coords are 20-25m off.

Nice hide, but coordinates were more than 20 metres off. TFTC

Coordinates seemed a little off, but after reading a previous logs dirt girl sniffed it out. Thanks for hiding!

### **OWNER MAINTENANCE CHECK REQUIRED???** ###

----------

This cache has been flagged by Geocaching HQ as a cache that **MAY** need some attention. The cache owner would have received an automated email from Geocaching HQ recently which explained what needed to be done.

Unfortunately, nothing seems to have happened, so I am having to take the next step - see here: [**Geocache Health Score.**](https://www.geocaching.com/help/index.php?pg=kb.chapter&id=38&pgid=713)

The cache is being temporarily disabled so as to stop it showing up on search lists and to give the owner an opportunity to check on the cache and take whatever action is necessary.

**Can you please respond to this situation (or indicated your intention) within 14 days,** so others know exactly what is happening with this cache?

You have lots of choices so pick the one that applies from this handy list:

- Check on the cache, repair and/or replace the cache or do whatever else is needed, post an [**Owner Maintenance log**](http://support.groundspeak.com/index.php?pg=kb.page&id=404) indicating the cache has been checked and [**ENABLE your cache.**](https://support.groundspeak.com/index.php?pg=kb.page&id=235 ) Then sit back and wait for the praises.

- If you really hope to get it fixed but there is some unusual reason why you can't do it soon, then at least post a Write Note log (within 14 days). Be sure to indicate the actual date that you expect to have it fixed so that everyone knows you are on top of it. For ongoing issues (where you don't have an actual date) please ensure you visit the page and post a note every 28 days so as to keep everyone up to speed.

- If you don't plan on fixing it then you could consider passing it on to another geocacher by asking them to [**Adopt it**](https://www.geocaching.com/help/index.php?pg=kb.chapter&id=38&pgid=54) or alternatively, you need to [**Archive it,**](https://www.geocaching.com/help/index.php?pg=kb.chapter&id=38&pgid=56) so it is removed from searches and someone else can have the spot. Don't forget to remove any remnants of your previously enjoyed cache too.

You might wonder what happens if you don't pick one of those. Well, if nothing happens, then a few weeks from today, when I next look at the cache page, it is likely that I will, unfortunately, have to de-list (Archive) it on the basis that it has been abandoned.

Honestly, I'd rather you decide so please do something before then. Please don't send me an email but instead follow the information/advice posted above.

Going down to check on this by this weekend.

A beautiful morning for a play at the arboretum with the kids. We then went treasure hunting, found another cache nearby and thought we’d try this one. After searching for a while with no luck, we checked the hint. We broadened our search area with still no luck. Found a really good spot about 15m from the pin but still no luck. I’m out search we dug holes, moved wood & concrete & rocks, pulled weeds and disturbed an ants nest As it’s an easy place to search thoroughly, and after reading other comments, i think it may have disappeared.

02-Oct-18
Looked everywhere. Could not find.

30-Sep-18
We think the cache may have been moved

28-Sep-18
Didn't read the previous logs. Luckily this was just up the road from home and on my way to another cache.

GPS was jumping around but kept taking us back to the same point in the end. But no cache. Looks
Like there’s been recent landscaping done, perhaps they’ve removed the cache?

18-Feb-18
Too tricky for us today

I think it was removed by landscapers

Find number 6350 at 1:30:51 pm
Second time I have been here, looked a little further afield today, particularly on a device that looks suspicious and finally found the prize 28 meters from the GZ. Admittedly, that was with an iPhone but it might be worth checking the coordinates.
**Thanks for placing this cache melandphill**

Found! It helped reading the comments as coordinates were a little off, as others said. Got a bit confused thinking it was in a hole under the fence that had filled with water. Paper is a bit ripped and may need maintenance soon, but was ok to write on for now. Thanks!

Not at the exact coordinated

26-Sep-17
Using another nearby park as 'homebase' for the day I jumped into the car with TaylorHunters09 and we stopped here. With neighbour dogs barking, and knowing from previous logs that to look further out than the GPS was telling us, TaylorHunters09 soon made the find here. Thank you

26-Sep-17
#2 for the day landed LouJean1970 and us here and quickly searching. After glancing at previous logs we knew to broaden of search radius, luck we did because it was no where near the new or the old GPS coords. Luckily I had done one like this before and suspected it might be where we found it.
TFTC

20-Sep-17
GPS coordinates are quite a distance off but after reading the logs we got the cache easy enough. The old numbers are better than the new ones. TFTC

20-Sep-17
Wow... Coords were so off with this one, but we eventually found it by expanding our search between the new and old coordinates!

20-Sep-17
A quick dash to a turned into a stress. This cache is clearly not at the righ coordinates. Many people suggested the old coordinates. So we tried them and still no luck. We then just searched every where. And found it With Zedaycee and Angelique Anja.

#1108 - 10.50am
Came here for my 'daily fix' with the Mini-Welders after junior basketball. From this vantage point I could see that the works on the Arboretum are finally finished. Hooray!!
Given the lack of available potential hides, we tried looking for the cache without a GPS or a hint. We must have checked out every possible location it wasn't.
Can't believe we didn't check the obvious until last, and that was only after I checked the hint, my bearings and a past log.
I think the previous coordinates were much more accurate than the current ones. It might be worth considering undoing the last revision...
We found the cache at:
S 37° 52.537 E 145° 17.048
Thanks melandphil. I hope that helps.
Smile

02-Sep-17
Found with help from log

01-Sep-17
That is such a clever spot. Lots of fun

31-Aug-17
Well that was rather epic! Our second attempt for this one, this time in the daylight with the geokids in tow. We hunted for AGES. Coords were off as noted in previous logs. For some reason, I didn't think it could be where it was. Anyway, rather obvious in the end. I've stared at the bark on all those trees way too long TFTC!

The last cache of the day for Quiet1_au , Lochb and myself this afternoon. Q found this cache in a logical spot a long way out after we checked logs. Thanks melandphill

21-Aug-17
Out with G of GJMMelb and quiet1_au. Q found the cache 27m out. TFTC

20-Aug-17
Well the GPSs were a bit useless for this one, they had us searching boggy ground where there was nowhere really to hide a cache. Cacher-sense sent me looking at the more likely location 30 odd metres to the east but I missed spotting the cache the first time. lochb mentioned previous logs reporting the coordinates to be a long way off so I headed back for another look and this time found the cache completely out in the open but amazingly intact. Rehidden out of casual muggle sight where G' of GJMMelb and I expected it ought to have been (low and as hinted)

The coordinates should be checked and updated for this one - maybe there was a typo?

no luck here

16-Jun-17
Had a half decent look in the dark. Will come back and try again during the day

13-Jun-17
just a quick note to remind cachers that sometimes you will get interference from the fence and the co-ords may bounce a bit-there fore i have given a clue in the hint!!

12-Jun-17
Well this was my second time looking for this cache and after staying within a few meters of GZ last time and thus logging a DNF I came back today for a second go. After reading previous logs and basically throwing my GPS away I used the hint and managed to make the find. The cache was found in its hiding place 32m from GZ.

11-Jun-17
Off by 31m but found it

11-Jun-17
Way off the map! But we finally found it!! Nice spot

09-Jun-17
No idea! Kids searched for half an hour Sad

04-Jun-17
Finally found this one. It's 31m off, have fun finding it!

20-May-17
Goood spot. Compass a bit off

19-May-17
Took a while to find. Not sure whether it was the coordinates or clouds or what, it was 29m out by my reckoning. Used logic and found it easily. It was even on display. I hid it with a bit more cover.

02-May-17
Sadly this was a dnf for robinyang and i tonight. We searched gz for at least 15 mins but in the dark with torches and nothing at all near gz looking like a cache. We widened our search region but still no luck. Might have to try this one another time 7:48 PM.

14-Apr-17
Doesn't seem like there's too many places where you could hide a cache at the coords, my GPS was bouncing around quite a bit but was indicating near the wooden fence or in the middle of the grass. Had a good look but couldn't find it anywhere.

12-Apr-17
Didn't find it!

08-Apr-17
A favorite for the kids!!
