A quick little overnight trip to Hawkes Bay and then up to Taup and back home to find some Adventure Labs and to hopefully qualify for the S39 Challenge. With a car on my tail I was worried about being able to stop but saw the large pull off area. Now to catch back up to the milk tanker. All good here, and thank you to bchefj&p for the placement of your Traditional Cache.Find #6689 at 27 April 2024 7:04am
Heading south to Napier for work, rattll and I made a quick stop here to find this cache. A quick park'n'grab, soon found in it's hiding place. All good inside the container. Signed, and returned as found. Tftc!
matagouri has some work in Napier for a couple of days so I'm tagging along and grabbing a few caches where we can.A cute wee cache, although it took a bit of coaxing to get at the log. Thanks for putting this here
Driving up to Lake Rotoiti alone with no time constraints so took the opportunity to hunt the caches along the way. Afor me.
Easy find...very cute addition to this container...made me smile.Good excuse to stretch my legs.
Found with Seattles Best on a lovely Epipheny Sunday! Great to be out. Plenty of parking just beyond GZ.
Nice quick find cache all good traveling to Hamilton for a few days after spending time in napier yesterday glad to get a few xaches along the way tftc
Stopped here on our return journey towards home after our annual Xmas caching roadtrip.Nice quick find TFTC.
Mr jumped out for this one as Mrs is a designated driver today. Quick find at GZ. TFTC
We were stuck behind a truck so it wasnt e to see this cache was here as it gave us a reason to get out of the queue. We made a nice quick find of this nicely themed container. TFTC
Didnt take long to find this nicely disguised cache. Not a normal barrier cache I was expecting. Tftc
On our way back to Taupo after BMXing and visiting family in Havelock North. Definitely not your typical barrier cache. Thanks for the quick park and grab .
Short stop on our way to Rotorua. Took a bit of age, but is still “bugga”.
Thank you for the cache

This type of hide fit right in with my driving today: A quick find with no fuss. TFTC.
My Solo Escape from Napier to Taupo for the night meant I could hunt for caches to my heart’s content A fun find with a full log book so I added a strip of paper I found in the car - hope that’s ok!
First cache for the day and in a hurry to sign as we had recently passed a truck and hoped not to have to pass it again. Signed as sb with the date of 10/9 Bugga. We did have to pass the truck again but were lucky with a passing lane. Thanks
Great to break up the journey along here today. Nice pull over and smilie thx.
I understand the reason behind the name of the cache. Eeewww. Only a couple of places left to sign so will need maintenance soon. Thanks for the fun cache.
GPS threw us a bit so took longer than it should. Cache in great condition and still a bit of space for new finds. TFTC
Not so easy when you're on the wrong side of the road, but spun around, landed in the metal piles and found another barrier cache but this one was far better than any other!! Wish they were all as fun as this one. TFTC.
Nice quick find here once we did a quick turn in from the other side of the road. A great little cache hide here. Had to go back down thd road z big to safely turn around again and head on to Napier. TFTC!!!
Another quick find on this road trip with Corunna Road, interesting 'camo,' TFTC
Nice and easy find as we flew past on the way home. Time to head back already, time flies fast when you're the driver of a train.
It's go home day as all good things must come to an end. We had intentions to travel the Napier-Taupo Road and stagger the way North via Te Awamutu, and only stop a couple of times, and so it was, just the 5 finds.
It's that time of year again when we try and get out there to celebrate our wedding anniversary, and my birthday the next day. This time we matched it up with a trip to Whanganui to see our daughter and the ever changing/developing granddaughter Kaiah. After the weekend with them we headed to Hawkes Bay for a 4 day stay in Havelock North which started off with rain but fined up nicely and finished the week well. A good break from home and plenty done and seen (as usual). Not huge numbers of finds but 22 adventure labs, the 4 TMGTs in Napier, a couple more CANZ caches and a few Virtuals as well as some other treats, T F T C to all COs.

A cool camo on this cache and a quick easy find on my way over the hill. I went on a road trip following the "Mega that wasn't" in Auckland over Labour weekend. TFTC.
Ha ha ha. Love the cache protector.
Jude_E, NosyNel and I are continuing on our figure of 8 tour of the North Island collecting the ‘Tour’ caches, plus others, plus seeing the scenery, plus having a good old time. TFTC.

That was a neat one and appropriately named. I am on a North Island Figure of Eight tour. For the first 4 days I spend time in the Bay of Plenty with my husband JDScout in Rotorua. Now I am on part two of the eight loop going over to New Plymouth. This part is being done with my good friends Ethness and Jude_E.
Thanks bchefj&p for creating this hide. It was find 9012 for me.
======== NZ Mega 2021 ========
Planning for the NZ Mega 2021 event is well underway. It will be held in Auckland over Labour Weekend, October 2021

Travelling from Napier to Taupo today with Nosynel and Ethness. Our goal is to find all the TMGT caches in a big figure 8 across the centre of the North Island. We plan on stopping from time to time to find the odd cache. Glad that wasn't real! Tftc.

This one almost flew over our heads, but we got out of the sticky situation and managed to sign the log.
Inclement day for caching but couldn't go past this one without recording our rendezvous. Tricky little bug....ger, but we found him, signed him and put him back to hibernate, tftc.
Off to Napier for a couple of days, so we picked up most of the caches on this road on the way down there, including this one. Thanks to the previous logger for the extra log paper, TFTC
A quick stop as we headed home from a few days in Napier. Nice quick find here, although the real bug hiding inside the cache made us both jump! Log was pretty much full, we squeezed our name on the bottom but then put a new piece of paper in for the next people.

Been in Taupō for the weekend doing some biking. Heading home and collecting some caches in the Taupo-Napier road. Breaks up the journey nicely. Nice camouflage. Thanks
I have a 3 month sabbatical mostly traveling around the planet. My goal is to find and log 1000 caches. New Zealand is my 4th station traveling from south Christchurch to north Auckland, my first visit here, its far away. This is my sabbatical-cache #877.

Well, we are heading home after a tiring few days caching but can't resist a few more finds - a nice quick easy park and grab and we are off on our way again! TFTC

Off in my car and I happen to have rustynz and Rebel98 with me for this 2 day weekend. We plan to get Geotour caches in Whakatane, Gisborne, Tolaga Bay and Napier. A trip that would take 1401km returning through Taupo back to Auckland.
Rusty is calling out the caches as Rebel drives my car along this stretch of road, I sit in the back very relaxed when rusty said STOP... cache! Suddenly I'm not so relaxed anymore, time to evacuate from the car which rusty did before me and so I didn't need to bother.
I think what rusty meant was to turn this one not tour this one. Now off to see what was not for the faint hearted. Rusty was keen for this one!

A group of Westies (rustynz, rebel98 & gorby) on a East Cape caching adventure, we came the scenic route
What rebel meant was TB fit
Happy to tour this one into a smiley as we make our way along the Taupo-Napier highway

Found with a sister during our expedition to NZ (from CZ), where we explored part of the North Island and could visit our classmates and friends that we have not seen for several years, as it is here, in Auckland and Napier live ... Thank you for cache ...
Rip to the lost lives. Gotta be a fav I scared my muggle daughter by throwing in car -gotta be a highlight from delayed reaction. I put a slip paper in as book full
We had been talking about cache bash in Napier for a while, and when Cats&Dragons mentioned a trip down here this weekend I couldn't say no. The plan was to head down Friday night (leaving Hamilton about 7pm) and then cache til we can then grab a few hours sleep and then cache through til late afternoon and then head home. The plan worked well, with about 110 caches found over the 24 hour caching period.
It was the first time we had visited Napier to do a caching mission, and we were both impressed with the genius hides (some we hadn't seen before, I'll give a special mention to those ones). A big thanks to all the CO's whose caches we found, for placing and maintaining them. A great trip and looking forward to a revisit.

Travelling from Napier to Matamata via Taupo today so only stopped for caches that were safe to do so depending on the traffic. Love the cache title and the no problems with the cache, thanks
Mean cache! I’m not normally squeamish but I did drop this at first!! DO NOT ATTEMPT THIS IF TRAVELLING TOWARDS NAPIER. The bend is much too fast and there are obviously a few wannabe formula one drivers around here. SL TFTC
22333 Traveling through New Zealand to see nice people and places. Also to find some geocaches.
Today we moved from Napier to Taupo, seeing nice places and visiting caches along the road. Stopping at nice villages. Looking for caches on either side of the troad. Finaly we went down town in Taupo to see the city centre
Most caches were found quite quickly. A few took more time. Muggles did not watch what we were doing and had more interest in the surrounding views.
mrBmrsP TFTC and the fun it brought us. Theo

Today was a day for a one way road trip from Napier to Auckland. I flew across from Auckland to pick up our son's 'new' car after winning a Trademe auction on Monday. (Sunday I'll be starting another leg of the Auckland - Wellington - Picton - Nelson journey) Time to find a few caches along the way of course. Ah ha! Very cute. TFTC, Biggles.
