As hoped for, it was a quick Q E F in the late afternoon on a Sunday when the road wasn't too busy. A nice way to wrap up my caching on what had been a productive day.
In Picton today picking up people at the ferry so arrived early and had time to do some Geocaching TFTC
Back to Picton again today and this is one we missed on the way over yesterday so made a quick stop and find here. tftc#7113
**19,957**Sticking to the list Mr Geckoh created before we left home, this was the next cache. A bit of a busy road here but managed to locate a parking spot, dodge the traffic and find the cache. TFTC
Driving towards Picton for family get together.
As a child my mother used to
lives just down the bottom of the hill and her father used to take milk to Picton on a horse and cart.

Decided to head up to Picton for some caching. Quick park and grab. Cache and log all fine. Thanks for the smiley
. Travelling by car from the North Island and crossing on the ferry- perfect sailing ! Having seen it was a barrier cacr cache meant it may well be a quick find and it was . thank you for this cache I took nothing and left nothing and all was well with the cache .
Day 10 on our holiday in New Zealand. Today we are in the area and surrounding area of Nelson, and then we go to Wellington. We also visited this tradi, found it, and signed the logbook.

Having just delivered half the family to the ferry, it was far too early to head back home. So, I used a chunk of my precious mobile data (I can't afford to be on one of those fancy unlimited ones yet) and made a plan for a couple in Picton and a few on the way back to reach the summit of whatever this months peak is. This was number 4. Easy peasy too, and glad the road was quiet for my stoppy and starty and turning aroundys to get here.
Since my original plan of being in Auckland this long weekend is not possible, I decided to head South for a couple of days. Took the ferry from Wellington yesterday morning, picked up a cheap rental, and off I went. I was targeting some specific caches for a personal goal as well as some fun mystery solves and some just 'cos. This was one of them.
All good here, found without too much trouble. TFTC

We have accidentally shot by this one more than once when travelling to and from Picton. We took it more carefully today and appreciated the safe parking as we headed into Picton. Thanks capperz for pointing out those large water tanks, and for this smiley.
Being the first out of the car I thought I would be the first to get this but instead of using my instinct I went off the gps on my phone and ended up further down the barrier. In the meantime MapleroseNZ sauntered casually up to the cache and already had her pen out to sign it before I could run back.
Day 9 of my 2020 NZE (New Zealand Experience).
(My apologies for the delayed logging but I'm in catch-up mode)
Seeing as I can't be in America right now, I'm touring around the South Island instead. During my time here I am aiming to find as many of the TMGT caches as I can (preferably all 41) and also as many Virtuals, Earthcaches and Letterbox Hybrids as possible, plus any Trads or others that will fill a hole in my D/T grid, my Jasmer grid, or else the last 3 remaining Hidden Dates on that grid.
Having arrived at my rest a few km short of Picton last night in darkness, today's plan was to get to Picton and then work my way back along the coast ending up somewhere near Kaikoura tonight. It's a journey I had made on my very first day visiting the South Island back in 1988, and I was keen to do it again and also see for myself what has happened to the coastline after the Earthquakes almost 4 years ago. That was a hell of a night, even for me some 150km away at the time.
As I couldn't stop at every cache on the road (otherwise I'd never have done everything I wanted to get done on my tour) this cache was picked at random mainly for its proximity to the highway and where I hoped to have a quick find.
Arriving at GZ, it didn't take long to spot a familiar object, and the cache was soon in hand. I encountered no issues with the cache or log, so I was able to do the usual caching administration before replacing everything as found and moving on to the next.
Thanks for placing this cache.

A bit of Deja vu here as we have one similar. They are just made for Caches..TFTC
Popped over to the Mainland for a few hours chasing TMGT caches and a few others in the vicinity. Quick park & grab here, no problem with the find TFTC.
#7812. Day 3 of my short holiday in Marlborough. I have a work meeting this week in Blenheim so I flew down early and rented a car to allow me to find the Marlborough TMGT caches and few other caches in the back of beyond. Today the mission was to do some caches in the Blenheim and Picton areas. After having a feed of fish'n'chips for dinner in Picton it was time to head back to my campground in Blenheim. But there is always time for one more cache. So pulled up here and went for a look. Nice quick find. Took a photo of the anti-1080 sign. Be more helpful if they described how they planned to remove animal pests from several million hectares of native bush in a more cost effective way. Signed the logbook and returned the cache where found. Thanks capperz for the cache.
Bit of a mission to get a cache to get souvenir. After quite a bit of effort and a DNF back in Town, I had to persuade my reluctant driver, that this cache was doable. We did a U turn further down the road, so we could be on the right side of the road. Success didn't take too long to find. SL. TFTC.
Of course with NanaAuckland aka Darby&Joan in town, geocaching is again on the agenda of activity. Nice to do a cache and get a souvenir for our efforts. SL. TFTC.
Lovely weather for caching got a bit of a tan hopping in and out of the car. TFTC
I am never going to look at this stretch of road the same...
Thanks to Kimmy+co as my navigator we managed to get all of these safely and without me multitasking behind the wheel

Theres a caching Streak on this week so time to visit a few local hides. Walked up here this morning to snag and tag this one. Cheers
On a trip around the South Island with the Gadget family. Crossing the South Island picking up some caches along the way. Tftc.
A quick pull over whle there was no traffic and a quick find.

Lovely long weekend in picton with a spot of caching where I was able, thanks for the placement, we were lucky with good weather which meant I had no use of the gummies I brought down with me
The road works in the area had slowed the traffic down so we felt safe enough to drive over to GZ and make the find. GK made the find and had it signed very quickly. We were watching the sky as the weather was starting to turn a bit yuck and we wanted to go for a walk in a wee while so we did not hang around - just signed the log and back on the road.
Thanks for placing this cache and thanks for the smilie

as we are heading home after 6 weekes in the south island this one was a must as we hear towards picton we squeezed the camper van into a little spot just off the road and walked back to find it but just as we arrived near gz a couple of road inspection guys turned up and parked very close. one guy said have you lost something and I said yes just my marbles then we proceeded to tell him about the geocache etc
Many thanks to all the COs who helped make our geocaching holiday a great success
We left home early April and returned 21 May 2018. We toured from our home base up to a wedding in North Taranaki then carried on heading south right down through wellington and on down the west coast and back up via the eastern side of the alps some times going around in circles. Our aim was to get as many smiley faces on the puzzle caches that we had solved but of course stopping for many traditionals, multies and others as we went. some time we biked the bike trails or walked but mostly by campervan. we enjoyed the quite back country roads, many of them were metal but we just travelled along slowly going from cache to cache. Most caches were in good condition and I will remark if we thought it needs maintence etc.

We were on our way to the ferry, picking up a few last caches on the South Island and stopped here. It was a quick find, but made more exciting by the police car that ROARED past with sirens blaring as we pulled over to start our search. That certainly got the blood pumping!
Thank you for the cache, it looks like you might be our second-most often found CO!

We were on our annual family reunion/holiday to Momirangi Bay for 10days and Mum and I took a day to head into Blenheim to go geocaching. My purple pen had gone walkabouts at camp which I was abit miffed about (but everyone was looking for it before we left, so I couldnt be too upset) The day started off hot and muggy and got up to 27° but then turned into rain late afternoon so we called it a day and headed back to camp only for it to alot get worse. A great day with 22 finds and when we arrived back at camp my 7yr old niece had brought me a new purple pen.
A nice quick find here by Mum. The baggie was missing its top so we gave it a new one. Thanks for placing the cache and adding to our smiles

07:28. TFTC, another much appreciated quick find as I'm on a numbers run, here's hoping that the good weather holds...
Find #13 on our journey this morning. When we pulled up here, I was expecting to have to do a bit of traffic timing in order to retrieve and replace the cache. However luck was on my side and I hardly had to do the geocaching lurk at all. Tftc
We had thought that driving all day with only a few stops would be boring, but it wasn't. We found some nice caches while making our way from Hanmer Springs to Picton, and the landscapes were absolutely stunning. The high mountains and the wide valleys, the rivers and the changing skies, sometimes cloudy sometimes blue. The light has a different quality here, it was like seeing everything in 3D.
A last quick find just before we arrived in Picton. TFTC!

Quick find this afternoon with eltee291 and crman1! Spent the day in the Picton area and grabbed this one on the way back to Blenheim. Signed the log and replaced as found. Visiting from BC, Canada! Thanks for the cache, capperz!
Quick find with hingis20 and crman1 today. Headed out to find some caches in the Picton area. Wasn't sure if we would be going after a weather bomb came through Blenheim last night. Visiting NZ from Victoria, BC, Canada. TFTC
Last in the South for the year. Quickly found. Cheeers.
A day to get from Murchison to Picton to catch the ferry. Time to find a few little boxes....
Thanks to the CO's for the hides. Cheers.

Last one before heading to Ferry wharf. Raining off and on most of the time but trying to clear. Hoping for decent sailing.
Thanks Capperz, QEF here today. Got a beep from a passing motorist- maybe a fellow cacher - as we tried to look disinterested around a barrier until the coast cleared. Gotta love the barrier caches
A beautiful day for a drive to Picton. No work on today so I thought I would phone a friend and go for a drive. I think she is keen, because by the end of the trip, she had downloaded an app and found 6 herself! Yay! This was a QEF between the traffic. Tftc.
Quick find on our way to Picton. Must be getting close now. Thanks for the cache.
Stopped here on the way to Picton early this afternoon, cleaning up unfound caches on the way. All these water storage facilities are new within my lifetime - when I lived here as a child the water supply was only from the two dams up Essons Valley. Found the cache quickly - signed log, TFTC
After lunch in Picton, it was time to head back towards Blenheim. I took advantage of being on my own today to tick off the caches along here I usually don't do because of "timing issues". Cheers and TFTC
Pulled up in the accessway and walked over what I thought was a strip of grass but it also had a heap of dry cut off gorse bits that were very prickly - ouch. Still another smilie so all good. TFTYC #8181
Was with Nanzie when she found this last week but deliberately left it till today to sign as I knew I'd need 2 caches to fill a calendar day challenge and wouldn't have much opportunity email route to Waikawa for a kayaking trip. TFTC

A quick easy find, with lots of traffic whizzing by, which we needed to join as we were due at the ferry terminal in a few minutes. TFTC
A bit of an expedition today to escape the heat on the other side of the hill. To no avail I might add in that respect but we came up smiling all the same. QEF. Thank you Capperz
A quick park and grab on the way to Picton. We appreciated the little bit of shade provided at
the pull in area at this time of day.
Thank you capperz.
