Logs
Quick find. Log book mush. Added a new log book inside a zip lock and dried out the container. Thanks for the cache.
Sunday is day off which makes it caching time headed near the airport and in the industrial zone. Tftc found on ground
As previously noted container nestled not hung but quickly spotted. Log is very soggy so signing attention not vet successful. Tftc.
Nice easy find. Although the bottle was on the ground not in the tree. Found with toby84
A nice quick find here today. Log seen better days and unfortunately a dead bird laying close by. Tftc
Replaced with a new medicine bottle as it was in half and the paper/plastic was out. Kids had fun at 9.30pm it was a random but our first time having a go
Thank you
Thank you
Very interesting to see how the growth of the tree has resulted in the cable tie cutting through the container. I'm sure it has been mentioned many a time before but it gives something different to write in the log as well. TFTC # 18,477
Needed to get out and about today, and going bush was not really an option, so headed over to this area as it had been a while since my last visit.....
Parked near by and broke out the bike for a quick ride around the area....

Having lived in Auckland myself for 17yrs I never knew this island was here. Will def have to re visit with the whole family and our bikes! TFTC
Second find tonight. The tree has grown a bit so the cable tie holding the cache has tightened and squished it a bit. Still ok, TFTC keylev.
I decided to pop out here for a few caches on a fine but breezy afternoon. I had never been to Puketutu Island, even in the 8 years I lived in Auckland, and to be honest knew little about it.
But curiosity brought me here. That and a couple of target caches, a short Ad Lab, and plenty of trads. I enjoyed the different view of parts of the city, and the birdlife. Not too many issues, just the one DNF.

A not so mad day caching,.. but I certainly benefited! Out with Keylev and NZTravellers again. As they have all gotten most of the caches in this area, it was up to be to play catchup to these 2. They were feeling extremely charitable and I wasn't going to pass the opportunity up. Sure they used me for cache maintenance labour, but as long as I get to sign the logs, I don't very much care
On the maintenance run with CO and only too happy to find these off as we go. TFTC

Grabbed and signed this one before heading to the newish cache across the other side of the water which had hundreds of birds on today. All good here.
An early start to head out and make a few finds today whilst mrs c is back to work for the morning. Started out on the awesome Mangere mountain and volcano which is my third visit there and has been a good walk each time. The weather came to play again with scorching hot temperatures. It was a big day for hitting the various caching trails and had around 17kms under my boots before i got home. A trip out to the poo ponds and Ambury Regional Park were also in scope and thanks to all COs for their caches and efforts towards my finds today.

Out today with Anastriel. And one of our final physical caches of the day, we ended up noping out due to the heat of the day. This one was easy to spot but a little harder to grab, we could see it but it took a little maneuvering to grab it. Thanks for the cache #1296
Another find along here.
Cache is photo degrading and in bad shape.
Thanks!

Caught sight of this one on approach so super quick find and then it's off to the next one. TFTC

Thought this might take a long time to spot but it was surprisingly quick. This log was safe and dry so I was able to sign in easily. Thanks for the last unfounded cache in the series (I think!)
Found nice and easy. Tftc. It's attached a little too tight to the tree, though. It's cutting into the branch. A little maintenance is needed here.
We found this cache during our holidays, when traveling around Auckland!
Thanks for showing!

In Auckland for a few days for my daughters wedding this afternoon. Before she announced her wedding date, I had planned to get at least 96 caches of various types sizes and D/T ratings etc. to get my find numbers up to 101 and as my other leap day achievemnets as possible. However once she anoounced leap day as her wedding day I had to pare back my goals for the day to just finding 21 caches as quick as I could first thing in the morning. I chose this area for the concentration of caches. Unfortunately, being under time pressure, if I couldn't find a cache within a couple of minutes, I had to move on. This cache was easily found. TFTC.

Decided to take advantage of the reasonably good weather and head out to complete Puketutu Island. Invited my youngest nephew to join me for some one-on-one caching. I gave him my GPS and let him be our navigator, which he thoroughly enjoyed. All up we located 20 caches, had 3 DNFs and walked 10km.
My nephew spotted this one before I had even managed to get close. He then snuck between the branches to retrieve the log sheet.

Last day in Auckland, but have some hours to kill, so after my morning park run I thought I best get some mor km’s in. Spying a central car park and two loops of cache off I Trott. Thanks for the little adventure.
The search didn't take too long so BitOnTheFence spied the cache and we signed the logbook.

We were here today to help solve the mystery of the stolen jewels. Today we hoped to return as many as possible. 35 was the goal, but due to a flat battery in the car, which brought our bikes here, our mission was set back, somewhat. Nevertheless we made made some easy finds down this road! Tftc
In Auckland for a few days so only aiming a few caches. Brought my bike up so had to use it on some of these. TFTC
Strange, that the last cacher (007-Kelkheim) hasn't signed most of the logbooks. No sign, but online log? Just if the owner mind. Thanks a lot for the fun today.

TFTC
Our final day in New Zealand before we fly to Australia tomorrow decided on short walks and drive bys towards Puketutu Island. No problems finding the cache. Stamped and returned. TFTC
Made it to Auckland, New Zealand and am ready to party! These were so darn close to our hotel, we couldn’t resist.

Out today for an attempt on this series of caches. As we were a part of that fateful trip, we decided that it was time that we went and got these caches. So a plan was hatched to grab them sometime these school holidays, and that day was today.
We pulled up at GZ and jumped out of the car to start our search. It was nice to see that the method of hiding had changed on this cache which made it a bot more exciting. Still, the search didn't take too long when Mr. Kiwi spied the cache and went in to retrieve it. Once done, the log was signed and replaced before replacing the lid to the container and heading back to the car.

Back in Auckland I went a road-tour in the periphery of the city.
Thanks for the cache!

Second of the morning. Another quick find. Lots of interesting birds helping me. TFTC.
A nice walk on our first day in Auckland. Sunny and all welcoming!

Playing tag team with Nicnacnz. She had first go and by golly ge willerkers she found it! Fingers crossed I have the same success with my turn. Tftc
Deciding to tagteam with Ayden4asmile as we had Huntsman2015 with us and it isn't a particularly 2year old friendly area I was allowed to start and oh hey. There it is. Awesome! Now onto the next to see how we go.
It's a bit of a blustery day but I'm enjoying the walk out here. I dropped my son at the airport and I'm keen to get some numbers on the board as I haven't been out caching in ages. Thanks for setting out and maintaining these trails for us. An easy find here
I still need some Caches to reach the 1000 in NZ, so I went out for a little tour around the airport again. I could find a lot of nice and fairly hidden Caches and had fun.
Another quick grab!
Thanks for hiding!

On a 24hr mission to Auckland with Philip.Perry and three of my kids started caching at about 3pm getting back to accommodation at 330am then up and back on the road for a xouple of hours before heading home. We decided we had three caches we had to find this mission then the rest was all about getting our numbers up so concentrated on a high cache area. Meet Sethraven just on dusk who helped us on a cache we couldnt find before she headed home so that was great. Really enjoy caching in Auckland at night no traffic and no muggles to get in our way. We only had a few DNF caches for the day which isnt to bad. Thanks to all th CO for the caches.
Had a cheeky Auckland Mission on the cards this weekend - just had to drop the family off in Pukekohe first and then meet up with Davidsonclan. We had a few caches on the list today but mainly this was just a numbers mission. A late start meant we'd be late to finish but 3am isn't too bad. There were some great finds and some grotty finds but cheers to the CO's and those that help maintain their caches. This cache was found quickly and in good condition thanks to accurate coords a straight forward placement. Cheers nziceman TFTC.

Quick and easy find. Exactly what we needed to get some more of the Hidden Creature souvenirs. Thanks!
Out running some maintenance for NZ Iceman so took the opportunity to sign the log. Was present at placement.
After a DNF on the previous cache in the series (walking from #21 so not doing these in numerical order), it was d=nice to make a find here. Signed for 7th instead of 5th though. Thanks for the series keylev - getting closer to a turtle souvenir in this Hidden Creatures month.
I sussed out Air New Zealand Grab-a-seats from Palmy to Auckland and return last December, $19.00 each way, & paid with airpoints. Again two weeks later, another good deal for the following day. I headed out this way to find as many as possible in six-and-half hours (and walked past five or six caches on the way). Walked about 18 km's - found 20 caches (and had five DNF's). Weather forecasts for several days had been conflicting - but was very pleasant on the day, great for a long walk. My eyesight at present is not 100% (awaiting cataract procedure), and some caches took longer to locate than they should have. Thanks nziceman for the cache.
Out gaining points for Planetary Pursuits challenge. Nice and snug. Dry log. Thanks keylev.
