#10030 (3 of 11 today)Go big or go home! So went big! Today is the only calendar day where I have under 20 finds, so looking to break this barrier. But why get one when I can get... well a lot more.Headed south to Dapto for today's finds, but looking to be back in Sydney for a 5:30 event I couldn't totally go to town. So started with a short bush trek, and then some other quicker finds for a total of ten, before the event made it eleven.###END OF CUT AND PASTE SECTION###The iPhone wanted me on the other side of the fence, but common sense - and the attributes - told me otherwise. So a quick scout around turned up the hide.Completed signing duties, replaced and away.SLTNLNTFTC
Was a fun place to hide it! Had to look around for a bit until I realised it was right in front of me!
Found it with my friend. His first ever geocache. We didn’t have a pen to sign the log though.

Picked up some breakfast at the nearby fast food joint and wondered if there was a cache about. There was. A food seller was there, but I simply told him I was "looking for something" and he was okay. TFTC
Out with mrwhiskers76 today. We stopped at Dapto markets to have a look around before my soccer game against Albion Park. Thought we’d do a couple of caches while in the area this morning. The clue made for a nice find. Log and container all in good order. Thank you!!
After checking out the markets me and moom3 stopped off at the gate for a quick find! Thank you!
How wonderful this happens to be my 5800th geocache find! Norman Gunston was one of my heroes from the 70’s and through him I learnt about Dapto, the greyhounds and other features of the area. I couldn’t believe this was so close to where we were having breakfast this morning. Having been given permission to have a quick look I was pleased to find it in the first place I tried. It was tricky to extract due to the strong hold the cache had to its host, but I managed to extract it, stamp the log and replace before the car was started and The Driver got too agitated.
On my regular trip down to Warrawong, Shellharbour etc decided to pull into Dapto shops for a drink while here crossed over the road. To me the hint didn't make much sense but it was a quick find but took longer to extract as it had been pushed further in unless the spiders there pulled it in as a trap for cachers
With cache in hand we signed the log and replaced as found. Both the cache and log are in good condition. Thanks for bringing me to the area and thanks for placing the cache blacktownman

Managed to park at GZ and cover my approach, but just as I was about to grab the cache three men arrived at the other side of the gate clearly trying to take a short cut somewhere. Once they retired I made a quick grab. TFTC
Have looked at this cache a few times when shopping across the road and finally stopped by tonight to see if I could lay my hands on the cache. Was able to park right in front of GZ and after a quick feel in possible hide, getting hand covered in spider webs, I soon had cache in hand, signed log and returned to its hide
After a short feeling that I couldn't get to it as the gates were locked I thought the coordinates were off and started looking... found.
14613. Found during Day 2 of a great weekend caching down in the Helensburgh / Wollongong region with specimenX and AngelG27.
A long planned weekend was finally here. Yesterday we finished off the Scouts and Helensburgh puzzle series plus a bunch of other caches. Today we generally moved south during the day grabbing some quality caches along the way. This was the next find for the day. Quick find at GZ. Signed the log, replaced the cache, and we were on our way to the next one.
Thanks to all the CO's for their caches - very much appreciated !!

Off we go for another geomission! fitzy_1965, AngelG27 and I were off in the geomover to descend on the Illawarra region to knock off the Helensburgh puzzle series and whatever others we could nab along the way. Sunny spring weather and lots of laughs made for a fun weekend of caching!
I initially thought the cache was somewhere else at the end of a 'line'-but fitzy checked somewhere else and came up with the find!
Thanks for the hide, blacktownman

Cache 2938 on 3/9/17
Fitzy_1965, SpecimenX and I headed out on a long planned geomission to Helensburgh and Wollongong to grab a stack of solved puzzles and as-yet-uncollected traditionals. We headed up the highway from the ACT to Appin, then down the hill to Helensburgh and then made our way south. We have around 160 caches on the list, but managed to grab 90 odd yesterday. Looking to grab stacks of trads today on our second day of the mission. Unless otherwise indicated, caches were found quickly and in good order. Thanks to my geo partners in crime for a fun weekend
Not a fan of this sport, but thanks blacktownman for the cache!

I wasn't sure where to start looking for this but I found it in the end.
Thanks for the challenge blacktownman.

Didn't think the "GeoGirls" (HappyUke & Halcyon123) and I would get a day in these holidays due to my trip away - but luckily the stars aligned for us to squeeze this one in right at the end! Unfortunately those same stars did not look with favour on our hunting, with a higher than usual rate of DNFs and DNBs (Did not bothers!). It was still a lovely day out - love being out and having a laugh with these two <3
Our last find of the day - a nice quick find - I was the one who went reaching and grabbed the cache - but then Halcyon123 said 'spider' which led to me shrieking and throwing the cache on the ground in a very undignified manner, much to the amusement of Halcyon123 and HappyUke. Luckily I hadn't thrown it too far and the spider was in fact dead, so quickly retrieved, signed log and replaced. TFTC

The gang (Halcyon123, Nacki22 and me) got together again for a raid on the Gong caches. We found nine but disappointingly had quite a few DNF's. We had a wonderful day anyway... some lovely walks, lots of talks and a good belly laugh.
This was our last for the day. Nacki22 boldly put her fingers in there to retrieve the cache, then pulled it out with such a happy face. Halcyon123 calmly said "It's a spider..." and Nacki22 shrieked, flicking the cache away. Halcyon123 finished her sentence"... it's OK, it's dead". The reaction was priceless... sorry Nacki22 but that gave me a good belly laugh. Cache and Nacki22 both ok. Thanks

Out on a caching day with happyuke and nacki22. Our final for the day. Nacki22 bravely reached in and extracted a spider with the cache. When I kindly said "there's a spider..." she shrieked and threw the cache to the ground. Much giggling followed. Log signed, spider removed and cache replaced. Tftc.
I thought I had to get in the Grey hound track so I was searching for a way in but I could not find one so I was about to leave and I thought to my self one last look and bam there it was.

An overnighter in the Figtree area provided the chance for a weekend cycle-caching around Illawarra Lake and hinterland. Tally for the day: 27 Finds, 3 DNFs giving a weekend total of 53 finds. This was the 25th find for the day.
I hate spiders! Was that a red-back?!

Was down for the day at Dapto markets and saw this cache was hidden nearby. Good hiding spot, find in the first place I checked. SL TFTC!
Found it. Good little hiding spot. 1 or 2 little trinkets inside.

Some stealth required and I confirmed the location with pen rather than fingers.. but a quick find. #11 for today, I think? TFTC.
Shielded by the sparky wagon from prying eyes I made a quick find. Who would think macas is that popular in the middle of the day. Traffic jam, then it is Dapto. Sorry.
