Looked for half an hour but GPS no help so really tricky and could not find.

We found this cache as part of a little trip around the hinterland of the Sunshine Coast, looking for 2/2 caches. We pulled up in the geomobile Hank in the pub carpark and then set out on foot. This is a beautiful area, and the rainforest is varied. It was also warm and humid, so it was sweaty work getting to GZ. At GZ, we looked and looked. Fortunately, we had some of our TOTT, so we could look without putting our hands into places we could not see. Eventually, we found the cache. The cache is in good condition. We left a pathtag. Thank you for this cache Secret7(P).

07-Dec-21
After having lunch at the pub with relatives that live around here I set off for what I told them would be a quick find, followed one track and then another before scub bashing directly to GZ, once there it was still not an easy find.
Back to the carpark, took a wrong turn and ended up about 400 metres from where I started, it wasn't a great idea after a few beers.

Not having much luck in Boreen Point today.

A beautiful bird was dancing around the GZ. It was orange and brown. A small hopping bird like a finch. All good with cache. Found on day 3 of my 7 day bicycle tour. Camped nearby at Boreen Point so taking the opportunity to hunt for local caches on foot. Wish I ahead mozzie spray!

Had an enjoyable time with the SPREGTH (for Snickersallan, Patrol14, RoddyC, E_Smiley, GrannySmith1947, TMZ59 and Hatzofff) Team. So happy to meet them again just like the good old days.
Thanks for the cache Secret7(P).

Catching up on some logging today, so a bit of a generic log, I'm afraid.

I was caching with Snickersallan, Patrol14, hatzofff, E Smiley, grannysmith1947, and TMZ 59, giving rise to the team name of SPREGTH. Although not fully operative yet, I was able to tag along to most of the caches we found. Some Events brought us into this area.

I had to retire early from the hunt - it was taking a long time. But glad my name is in the log sheet.

Log signed and cache replaced as found on May 1st 2021. TFTC, Secret7(P).

Out with Team SPREGTH, Snickersallan, patrol14, RoddyC, E Smilie, grannysmith1947, TMZ59,and Hatzoff. Great day of caching with these crazies. TFTC. Took us a while but we finally found it.

Another adventure for the weekend to attend events on the sunshine coast with Snickersallan, Patrol14, RoddyC, E Smiley, grannysmith1947 , team TMZ 69, hatzofff (team of SPREGTH) to chase down some more smiles.

We searched and searched far too long but patience and PAF pays off. Yes a logical place.

Weekend adventure with RoddyC hatzofff Snickersallan grannysmith 1947 TMZ59 caching in the surrounding area.

A tricky hide and spent way too much time looking for this one. PAF narrowed the search but checked a place I had searched before and sure enough there it was. SL then returned as found.

Found on 1 May 2021. TFTC, Secret7(P).

A long weekend away at Platypuscove Homestay caching in the local district with geo friends, patrol14, RoddyC, E_Smiley, grannysmith1947, TMZ59, hatzofff and to save space on the logs, we signed as Team SPREGTH.
Took longer than expected to find but all good with the cache.

Wednesday. We were enjoying a lovely camping holiday at Boreen Point and thought we’d find some caches. This was a lovely area and as we walked through the vacant bit of land, we came across what we thought was the loneliest basketball court in all of Oz. Just as we finished saying that, a group of young teenagers came racing up on their bikes and starting playing on it! Go figure. We made our way carefully past some of the most beautiful spiders and then coming up to GZ, had a couple of minutes looking (there were a few good spots to hide a cache here), before Mr SP said he spotted it! We popped our names in the log and picked our way back to the basketball court. We found this cache, but not it’s sister cache for Gran.

This was the 3rd of 4 caches found on this outing.

Thanks ***Secret7(P)*** for showing us this place Razz

Muggle65 and l are staying at the camp grounds. We decided to grab a cache this evening and this one was the closest. We managed to find a track off the BMX area and soon found ourselves at GZ. There were so many places to look but soon M65 called out those magic words Found It. Thank you so much for placing this one.

Well whata you know TGG & I have come to Boreen Point to do some yakking tomorrow if weather permits. After the obligatory tent erection, unpacking & blowing up the bed we had a drink & noted a few local hides so after walking around the park to get our bearings, Boom! Found it after a wee meander through the bush. Thank you for this treasure

A new year and a new years souvenir on offer! Took me a while to work out the best way and decided to go from back of the pub car park. Got within 60m and went cross country, the classic caching error, because who knew there was a trail to the cache!

Took a few minutes to find but i noticed its just out of the corner of my eye. Cache condition was all good!

Thanks Secret7(P) for the cache and hunt! Big Grin

After arriving at camp and setting up with 1MinnieMoo, wombles and the munchkins, we checked the geocaching map and discovered a cache only 90 metres away!
Woohoo, how hard can it be to find a cache only 90 metres away? If Grandpa can find it....

HAHA!!!! Only as hard as wandering 30 metres through a swamp Razz to get to GZ.
I think Grandpa knew the secret way in!

Happily after our nature tour through the wetter side of Boreen Point campgrounds 1GiantPanda called out the triumphiant call of "found it" Smile

We all left our scribble and replaced the cache as found. Now to find the path out without the swamp.

Thanks for the cache Secret7(P) Big Grin

After setting up our camp for the night, Nyssaflutterby mentioned we were only 90m from a cache.
90m? Ha, that's nothing right?...right??
Well we sure did take the hard way in to this one and found the local hang out for mossies!
We opted to take the easy way out, while trying to shake off all the mossies.
Thanks for the adventure Secret7

Camping here for the night with 2 of my geokids, NyssaFlutterby and one of her geokids, and Wombles and Co. After setting up our campsite we noticed there was a cache only 90 mins away from where we were camping, so headed over for what we though would be just a small bush-bash. But with 30 metres to go we ended up trudging through swamp to make our find, which 1GiantPanda spotted as we all began our search..... of course there was an easier way however, and with mozzies attacking us, we opted for the clearer route back, heading back out down the path from the pub.
Thanks for the cache Secret7(P).

Well the day has finally arrived for us to celebrate our 10th geo-birthday and we had decided to make it a very memorable day indeed [^] We had a specific target cache in the area to celebrate the occasion plus another milestone or two Wink but before we could do that one, we needed just a few more cache finds Surprised FastEd59 and barbbowman came with us for our outing and to our surprise, today would also be a milestone day for FastEd59 Wink

Now what better place could we go to than the Boreen Point / Noosa area Wink Today's caching reminded us of just how beautiful the Noosa River, Lake Cootharaba and surrounds really is ... if only we could live here all the time Razz

We were not quite sure of the correct approach to the cache but we eventually found a way in and then the challenge began. It didn't take too long though before the cache was in hand and our names added to the logbook.

Thank you Secret7(P) for having placed the series and maintaining it for everyone to enjoy Cool

Found it with WallabyTim. Sorry about the delayed log. We had previously found the cache for Grandma (which was my 100th cache) and were keen to keep Grandpa happy too! Took us two visits to find the clever spot after losing light on our first attempt. Thanks to this cache we were able to discover the walking tracks through here to change up our daily walks. Thanks for the cache!

Out and about with my amazing geo-partner KaleidoscopeCass. just a short stroll from home. Had to grab it on our walk. All is good. Thanks for the cache!

After a nice lunch at the Appollonian, although it was a long wait being Sunday and very crowded, we ducked off into the bush behind the carpark. We found the track down the hill and had not realised that this one was here, as we'd only used the one that starts near the road at the eastern side of the hotel before.
Interesting viney bush. We found a narrower trail further along and following the arrow, came across a bit of a clearing with heaps of potential hiding spots. We set out scouring all the hollows and logs and bases of trees, then trees further away and started to get a little frustrated. We looked back at previous logs for clues - it must be here somewhere! [8)]
Daughter no.2 sent a text wanting to be picked up from the beach earlier, so the pressure was really on. I was starting to get indigestion after so much bending and crawling around so soon after the barrimundi and chips. Red Face
After one last extended search in one spot, also utilising the phone torch, we finally spotted something but it was just out of reach! [:(!] After a change in position and longer stretch, J managed to retrieve the elusive container. Thank goodness for that, after such a long search...Razz
Took gingerbread man Shrek card, left fairy.
Also left Wendy Thurston the Wombat travel bug, to continue on her adventures.
We had a quick tour of the lakeshore interested to see the variety of sails out of the lake racing but will have to leave the other 2 here that we are still to find, for next time. We'll have to not leave it so long between visits next time (and maybe not on a Sunday).

After a successful ftf hunt down the road, better have another look for this one with the new cords, last time I was here, had the original cords, makes it a bit difficult to find.
The same happened to me again, the GPS took so long to settle, combo of tree cover and cloud cover.

All Razz with the cache and a good hide. and you earn't yourselves a favourite point

After grabbing a nearby cache that was a little more wet then this, Ashleez, ZoolandR and I thought we should pay this one a visit also.

We just wandered along on our way to ground zero when I realized that I had stuffed up my PQs and for some reason did not have this cache in the GPSr. So, it was all up to Zooy to lead the way. We followed along like little ducklings and not before long were where we needed to be.

There were quite a few great hiding places at ground zero, and after inspecting a few, there was a little area that looked a little out of place. With closer inspection, a geocache was revealed! After a quick (and I mean quick due to the moozies that we about to fly away with us) look over the cache whilst adding our names to the log, we placed everything back home and ran out of the mozzies lair.

Thanks for another cache Secret7(P). All is in good order with this cache also.

I had to be in Gympie for a 1115 meeting and this meeting concluded at 1230. I had a hide to maintain Lake View further up the road so I took the opportunity to find some new hides since my last visit. Decided to park in the hotel car park as Google Earth indicated only a very short walk from here.

The grounds were packed with people and the car park was nearly full. Managed to find a car park spot right up the end close to the residence. Could have parked on the road much further away as all the spots close to the hotel were occupied. A lot of men in suits or shirts and ties and ladies in good quality attire.

Walked back along the edge of the forest till I spied a track heading in the right direction. Left the track and followed the compass on the GPSr and was standing at zero metres to go according to the GPSr. Found it 8 metres away but these things can take awhile to settle in country like this. Had a very good look around and spied a couple of objects where this one could be. Soon was able to LOG my name in the cache LOG. The hide is closer to the put then where my GPSr wanted me to be. I took the Teddy TB that was waiting for a lift. Will have to come back when I have some more time as I left Nanango at 0400 and it was now 1500 and I had a three hour drive home by another cache up in the hinterland. No time to go for a walk up the beach to get the three along there.

I'm not sure what is going on here because I logged this yesterday, yet it still shows as not found on the map and in my totals. I was the first to find it in its new location and with a new log book. Maybe that has something to do with it. Anyhow it was a nice cache in a great location. Thanks

After a stroll along the beach for a few other caches I headed across some playing fields in the hope of finding a way to this one. Lots of trails from the caravan park towards the pub. Wink

I passed an interesting sign on the way to GZ. I am glad I did not run in to anything that made me tingle. [:o)]

*FTF* on 2.2.2016 @ 9.55 am.

I had noticed that two caches were recently published in the Boreen Point area. When the first one was published, we had been out all day and it was very hot so we decided to leave it for another day.

A day or so later this cache was published but at the time we were having heavy thunderstorms and rain and when it was not raining, it was very hot. I had decided that I would not try for a FTF as someone else will most probable obtain it.

I looked at the cache listing today and noticed that the FTF had not been claimed and as it was still a little bit cooler (relatively), we might take a drive and try our luck.

We parked in the shade in the pub carpark and made our way to GZ. Be aware of the low tree branch when entering the track. If you are not vertically challenged, it will get you if you are not looking.

When we arrived at GZ, a short search revealed what we were after. The log was signed and returned to the cache and the cache returned exactly as found. Thanks for the FTF trophy that was with the cache.

All is good with this cache.

Find #342.
