I have moved further from the area and will find it hard to continue maintenance as physically it's a bit harder for me.
Tackled this cache late at night with Tiz , was a rather memorable nights adventure trying to navigate under moonlite , nearly tripping over kangaroos as we walked along the trail , nice little spot to just sit n chat Thanx for the Adventure Stay Dirty ??????????1998
Like the CO ...Lysterfield Lake is also starting to hold a very special place in my heart. This place has a very good vibe, and is a pleasure to explore even though so far my exploration has been at night only. Following Pinkpiggy7 Xmas event and a multi with tim_amy and Ms F, TSB and I continued our walk back to the Geocar stopping to get this cache..as mentioned the log is damp, but we were still able to sign our names on a random page.
After many saying log is wet - it's now mouldy lol
Great spot, loved this cache!

Best to get out and collect one on a special day. Log is wet but otherwise good hide.

Out for a bit of a stretch of the legs this afternoon, along the way came across this nicely camouflaged cache that was quick and easy to locate once we had gone around in circles a few times due to GPS bouncing. Log was a little wet but did manage to log our find (might need some drying out or replacement log).

We enjoyed a wander along the Granite Peak trail. Found Bells and whistles at GZ- pity that the log was so very wet. May need a CO visit. (Could not see why it would get so wet, considering the cache design??.)
Found it! Continuing my afternoon walk I found a new / revitalized track to explore with a cache off the side. Had to wait for a couple of Muggles to walk by before I made a quick find. TFTC SL
I have a little set of draft logs that are not huge in number (22) but date back eight months. I can't remember what I was doing eight days ago let alone eight months, so am going to be efficient or pragmatic or lazy or something and do generic logs. Sorry about that. I do appreciate the efforts of all COs though and can definitely say a big TFTC
We grabbed the bicycles and started hunting and what a successful day ir was. It is always nice to get out, have fun, and then to put the icing on the cake by finding a cache or two.
P. S. I really like the description of this cashe.

Out for a walk with Cygnus3333 & son, we ended up on the tight path to this cache where an quick and easy find was made. TFTC
Take your time to let gps settle, and then you'll be fine! Beautiful spot and loved the decorations!
Isaac, age 6, says, "It was a little bit easy but really hard".
Mum says, "Fun find off the beaten track".

Super easy even though Coordinates were a tad bit off, feel free to venture out a little! Lovely day, and although I love butterflies, there were none around :/
It was lovely over this side of the lake today. Many people out enjoying the pleasant weather, and the local fauna. Along with Knight_shift, we were travelling around on our electric vehicles, picking up caches that I needed, although they had already signed the log previously.
Thanks for the fun 4 B Ninja's.

Haven't found a cache in so long! Thanks for the hide - we've never been along this trail before - we loved it! Cheers!

I saw these were disabled but thought I'd try my luck anyway. This one was nicely in position and ready to go. There were even a few butterflies around.

I am unable to travel due to the current 6 weeks lockdown and will look at it in 6 weeks time.
Out one my own today with the bushwalking group. Could not find them so decided to walk the lake on my own. Amazing amount of kangaroos here. Lets hope they can survive us humans. Nice easy find here, Thanks for the cache 4 B Ninja's
In the area doing maintenance nice to see that it's still okay.
Happy caching.
Happy caching.
Given the current climate of Covid19 best we put this to sleep taking into account the government's advice.
A quick find here this morning compared to the previous cache. The log book won't be running out of room anytime soon. In good condition.
4th of the day in this lovely park.
Quick, easy find. Left bouncy ball and plastic spider.
Love the log book, one of the best I've come across.

Thank you! I love lysterfield and used to run here all the time before moving to Colorado 11 years ago. Wonderful to be visiting old places
Out for a walk around the lake, this was my first find today. GPS had me in circles, but in the end an easy collection and a convenient place to rest. The park was packed with people this weekend.
Out for our walk on this warm sunny Melbourne day and to pick up a few caches as well. There was three traditional caches here that we were yet to do. The GPS had us a bit all over the place initially, but it was Mr Pooky who made the find in the obvious spot. While Mrs Pooky kept her eye on a couple of restless kangaroos Mr Pooky signed the log. A log that will take some time to fill. TFTC and bringing us to this spot.
After work tonight I decided to grab a few caches on my way home. A nice quick find here, beautiful spot. Tftc!
Beautiful afternoon for a walk after work. Few kangaroos nearby
Easy to find. Thanks 4 B Ninja’s for placing this cache

Have never actually walked this side of the park before and with the thick fog, looked absolutely spectacular, and a little eerie. So glad we took your advice and left the bikes at home. After a quick search, cache found and the unique logbook signed.
Thank you 4 B Ninja’s for bringing us to this beautiful area. TB dropped.

Love the log book in this one. My daughter is really enjoying these caches because “they’re really organised” and “the one that had the wood thing, that was really creative”..
A nice walk up to GZ and a straight forward find . Liked the Log Book . Good Camo Too . Thanks 4 B Ninja's
Nice little spot tucked away in the trails. Nice camouflaged container too.
Didn’t like this that much we were surrounded by big kangaroos a little to scary for my liking. Thanks anyway.

With the rest of the family otherwise occupied, I decided to venture back to Lysterfield for a caching outing.
I felt a bit uncertain sticking my arm up there, but I did and was rewarded with a cache find.
Took nothing, left pathtag, signed log and visited some trackables.

Quick to spot this one, we were satisfied to be brought to this grove... Thanks for the cache!
Sinornithosaurus, AaronFilms and I spent the day walking and exploring around Lysterfield and completed several of the caches in the area. All in all, the day provided great weather and an amazing day out in the wilderness... we even managed to see some kangaroos and lizards which was a nice surprise too! We found some really awesome and creative caches, thanks to all the CO's for placing these caches ) #435
Nicely camoed container and a pretty easy find, I found the logbook very interesting, such a lengthy log and the decorations were cool also, thanks

After visiting the previous tram track cache we continued on.
The weather was fine after the earlier rain and it wad lovely strolling through the bush.
We stopped just before veering of the track to gz and a muggle snuck up on us, and he commended us on being out in nature.
A quick visit to gz and we were on our way again.
Thanks for the cache.

A very busy day with muggle traffic everywhere. Used the hint and cache was easily found. Quickly replaced cache. TFTC 4 B Ninjas.

Apart from the fact that I swallowed a bug whilst looking for this one, I enjoyed it thoroughly. This had the best camo I've seen. I popped the canister on the ground whilest I write in the log and then had to double take around me to find it!
Sitting down a little away from gz, it's a serene, peaceful place.

This was next on today's bushwalk around the lake and it had us going for a few moments before a squiz at the hint honed our senses and we were finally logging the find at 14:00.

Cloudy when I came here will have to come back when the light shines through the trees. The Bounty Hunter
It’s awhile since I’ve been here for MTB so out to explore, find a few caches and see what has changed - more management for starters. Great time of day and plenty of resident Roos for company. TFTC
Lots of young eucalypts here, but no butterflies today, they must all be caterpillars waiting for spring to come

After doing a nearby whereIgo series we completed it and decided to skip the hill riding and do a much easier around the lake cache collection run.
It was much less hilly than where we had just been so it was a nice relaxing ride.
I arrived here and noticed the hide for a few metres away, when I retrieved it a huge swarm of giant flying ant like insects came out everywhere. Luckily I had mouth closed.
Thanks 4 B Ninja's for the cache, the adventure, the hunt and the fun.

We loved this section of the tramline track. A lovely find in a tranquil setting on a warm Friday morning - this is what walking and caching is all about.
Out for a spot of geocaching with Gufimi on this mild summers Sunday afternoon. Our second find for the day.
Cheers, TFTC
