Out for a day of caching to round off my long weekend of caching every day. Today I hit the new Aura area, then made my way over to North Bribie to coincide with the low tide, then over to Golden beach to grab one desired DT and a few extras.Great little tree climb, but the log has disindegrated. I took a photo of the cache, should the CO require evidence of my visit. I did fall out on my way down though, lol. TFTC Wesso Family!

Amazing climb here! Geosons favourite by far. Spotted from ground level, and geoson made a challenging climb look easy.Unfortunately as others have mentioned log is unsignable as paper has disintegrated.Photo attached as evidence of find.TFTC & cool climb!

After braving the Bruce highway last night to see the first night of the Caloundra music festival we awoke this morning to a glorious Sunshine Coast morning. Leaving the geowife in the van for some much needed rest I ventured out for my yearly assault on the caches of the Caloundra area. After finding a park and quickly making my way to ground zero, it wasnt long until the prize was in hand but I was unable to make my mark for prosperity as the log was just shreds. I quickly returned the hide to its place lace of rest and made my way back to the car for the next assault.A big thanks to the cache owner for making this cache available for other cachers to find.Cheers

Thanks for the smiley. Stepped up and signed the papermache.

Took some spotting but failure was nota choice. Thanks for the cache

27-Jun-23
After finding a crazy crocodile nearby, Duppers and I swung by here to make a quick find on our way home. I fancied a tree climb but with a ticking clock in my ear I opted to just grab the ladder. I didn’t appreciate the view at the time, so thanks for the photo in the gallery. It really is a lovely spot and I note that there are a number of these locations in the area. I imagine walking around here would be quite scenic

23-May-23
After a lovely lunch catch-up with a couple of Sunny Coast cachers, AtTheLakeHouse and I wandered to a couple of targeted finds before we had to run off to do our respective duties.

Although a tree-climb was an option at GZ, we opted for a TOTT to get to the cache, ATLH doing the honours here. I held the ladder and enjoyed the pretty location.

What a lovely spot. Thanks for bringing us here, Wesso Family.

03-May-23
The shadows were starting to get a bit longer but I still had a few more on my list to find. My phone was having trouble settling on a spot so I had to wander around until I the right tree. Once spotted I soon got my hands on it but unfortunately the log sheet has seen better days. It's going to need a new one Wesso's.
Thanks again, always up for a tree climb

06-Apr-23
Seeing the T rating, I knew I would be climbing something but at first I climbed up the wrong thing. I looked all around and when I couldn’t see the cache I checked some logs and realised I was in the wrong place.
After climbing up in the right place I looked around and again couldn’t see a cache anywhere. Came down and looked from the ground and then it was easy to see it so back up again to retrieve and sign the log.
Thanks for a fun challenge in a pretty place.

29-Sep-22
Wesso Family I found your cache Lily Pond On The Boulevard #2 on 29/9/2022, 3:44 pm. This is my find 4305 and find # 17 today. Why climb when I can use a ladder. No problems locating this cache. The logbook is wet, unable to sign. Photo attached. Thanks for the cache, mate! TNSLLN

21-Aug-22
Spotted but will eventually have to come back when I feel less in pain to climb that tree lol

01-Aug-22
There’s a couple of reasons for visiting this area today… a friend with a new litter of puppies, and the quantity of tree fishing caches that might or might not help with a yet to be published challenge…

I generally avoid this types of hides, but I’m getting better, and the reality was this wasn’t that hard… The log is delicate but still usuable if you’re careful…

Tftc…

15-May-22
Didn’t initially spot it.
Then realised where it is and got it.
The log is wet and soggy. I had to write lightly as the paper was starting to tear.
My name is on the back of the log sheet.

Another adventure for the day. Thank goodness I like climbing. The log is still wet. TFTF.

Willis007 and I had the opportunity to head up to the sunshine coast for the day and collect a few caches before the night time event and the GIFF presentation. We were looking at targeting the Landsborough area and then the pelican waters caches before heading to Coolum. We were pretty much on track all day with just a few targets that will have to wait until next time. Overall, we got in a few labs finished off and a fun few caches. It was a long but profitable day, and a lot of chats and fun along the way, thanks to all the CO’s for the hides.

Finally in the Pelican waters area and it was a target rich area for us. This one had us searching higher and higher then all of a sudden, Willis007 says “found it”. It was on the ground in pieces with no log. I had a few tools so as we could fix it up, replaced the log and replaced the cache at a suitable height that is worthy of the rating, I hope this is ok. Maybe the CO can do a check next time they are in the area. Once done we moved onto the next one on the list, thanks.

21-Nov-21
Out and about in the Sunny Coast area collecting caches with chamad before attending the GIFF event.
After looking around we couldn't spot the cache. I glanced down an found the bottom part of the bison on the ground, open and empty. We found the top not too far from it. No log though. We put a new log in and popped the cache back up in the tree.
Thanks Wesso Family for the cache.

Enjoying the clear blue skies and winter sunshine up the coast today, on an outing around Caloundra tidying up some caches with Roostaman.

They say Roosters don't climb trees, well this one does! He found it quickly once at the right elevation. Enjoyed the cute little pond here.

Log signed at 11:17 and cache returned as found. Thanks for the smilie **Wesso Family**. This log is trackable.

After a 2 day work function at Pelican Waters, on the way home, I had a few hours free for geocaching before heading home. Plans to completely clean up this area of Caloundra were unfortunately thwarted by rain showers.

This was the first cache for the day. No troubles here, though I got wet. Logbook was already damp.

Thanks Wesso. A nice spot

Thursday. Wow! What a gorgeous area. We managed to park on the side of the road (not sure if this was where we were meant to park). Interestingly there didn’t appear to be an obvious area to park, although the lovely boarded area into the pond complete with a chair invites you to stay here for a while. What was really stunning was the 3 black swans who swam up to us at great speed, followed by a couple of ducks (one of which was being picked on by the other duck). I wish we’d taken some sort of feed with us for the birdlife. We couldn’t narrow down which tree we were needing to look at, or if it was in fact the board area. We checked out one obvious looking tree but as there were no broken branches, decided this wasn’t the tree we needed. We checked out a couple more trees before we read through a previous log which mentioned stepping up onto a branch, so this really narrowed our search. Located required tree and made the grab. The log book was very wet though. Managed to scribble our name onto the sheet. Replaced the container and headed off to another cache in this area. Favourite point for lovely bird life here.

This was the 3rd of 11 caches found on today's trip.

Thanks ***Wesso Family***, for showing us this place. Smile

After having been away for a few months this was a day to get a few smileys on my home coast. What better way to know you're back in caching territory than with a Wesso cache. I surprised myself with a quick find here today. Must be luck as I am sure it is not the development of a caching skill. TFTC Wesso's.

#14511. After 6 finds (and three DNFs) I needed just one more find to get me up to 7 for today, and 20 for September 23. Checking out the landing yielded nothing, but then I read the previous log and realised I needed to be looking in a tree. The cache was soon spotted, and with the log signed it was time to head to Golden Beach and have a well earned coffee.

02-Sep-17
Parking in a nearby street we watched the numbers count down as we approached gz and spied the tree in question. I enthusiastically climbed up to see what I could find; a bit too enthusiastically as when I spotted the cache it was several feet below me [:O)] Back down again and log signed and returned. Tftc Wesso Family.

Out for a day of caching with stortigirls. After a break for a bite to eat, wee made our way to this one. We parked in a nearby street and strolled to GZ. There, stortigirls went up the tree. Too far up! The cache was spotted several feet below her! As she climbed down, I made my way up on step and grabbed the cache. I stepped down again to make way for my caching buddy. While she was making her way down, I added our names to the log. I passed the cache back up to her and she returned everything before making her way the last little bit down. TFTC

Somehow on the drive to this cache I spotted a back street with a park close by and just assumed I would use me street smarts to find it. When I went through the same roundabout twice I had to swallow my pride and pull over and refer to the map. Lucky my wife wasn't with me or I would never have heard the end of it.

I scooted across the main drag to this tranquil spot and my first viewing angle had me perplexed. My second viewing angle from the seat wasn't any better. I crept under some branches and finally the hide was spotted. Cracker!

A foot climb and the cache was in hand. Great spot for a hide. tftc

A fun find while while out and about with DreamerSkye, Kittycute, 1MinnieMoo and 1GiantPanda. There were a few muggle kids at GZ when we first got there but it didn't take them long to run away once our noisy mob arrived. After they were gone it didn't take long to spot the beasty. I was more than happy to do the retrieval Wink

Thanks for the cache and smiley Wesso Family Big Grin

26/6/17, 2:37 pm Find #963
We arrived here and the geokids were playing tag with each other, so between them doing that and a couple of adults looking like weirdos in trees and on the ground the two kids here with their kayak ready for launch thought we were all mental! Don't think they could wait to escape for some water peace!
Thanks for the cache Wesso Family.

Visiting Caloundra this morning to get the car serviced and once that was done I noticed that this one was close by so headed off to have a look

After parking nearby it was a short stroll to GZ where some curious ducks came over to check me out. They were the feathered variety which seemed to be pretty friendly compared to some other ducks that I know.RazzSurprised

A short search and the cache was soon in hand.

Once the log was signed all was returned as found.
