This one is getting too problematic with finders replacing in the wrong location and the weather affecting it. Time to archive and leave the space free for someone else.
could not find not sure if the gps is right after it was moved. fyi maybe not the best place if your allergic to bee's.
No chance of drying this one out, nor of signing the log, but it was a nice quiet place to park up and have a cuppa, TFTC

Original location required by someone with a greater need, (you'll understand when you get to GZ), so cache shifted to another location which also required a slight change in cache name.

While on a FTF chase in the general area this morning with Kiwimykl, he decided to do a cache check on a couple of his caches that I haven't found yet.
This one has shifted from the original placement so a new place was found for it which will require a coordinate and slight cache name change.

Managed to find this one, but someone had moved it to another spot so the clever clue is not relevant now.
I dropped by here earlier in the day but there was someone checking the grapes so I didn't hang around. The name rather escapes me but I'm all for interesting cache names so that's all good. The cache was floating in a puddle of water - - - the self same puddle as many bees were drinking from. Some had to be very carefully brushed off before I opened the container. The log was a little damp but perfectly signable.
After signing the log I put the cache in a dry spot as it seemed like a good idea. You might like to check that it's as well hidden as it should be, if you happen to be passing close by.
Thanks for this cache and for your contributions to a most excellent day spent caching around Marlborough .

An easy-ish find despite all the activity going on with the approx 4000 people attending the 21st NZ Scout Jamboree in the area. I was here as a Leader with the Wairarapa Taniwha Troop & grabbed this one on my "day off". When found this cache was filled to the top with water & the plastic bag holding the log was the same so I was unable to sign. I left the cache unpacked to dry with the intention to return and repack it, but got too busy with scouting duties. Fortunately it seems someone got there ahead of me and sorted it. TFTC
Bee aware - during hot weather the local bees use this area to collect water. They are placid enough to not bee a problem, but those with allergies may want to avoid this one during summer.

The name of this cache baffled us, until we got out of the car to look. Didn't take long, was there in clear sight. Put it back slightly less in clear sight. Enjoyed this one, thanks.
We took a gamble on the weather – and lost. An early forecast had said clearing in the morning, but it was still wet when we left at 3pm. Last trip Mrs SoBad solo had not been sure of the direction the warning signs meant so stopped at the SPCA. With confirmation that she need not have, we drove past and on to the cache. A quick find near a spot identified as we drove towards GZ.
Thanks.
Thanks.
Today we mostly targeted PnG caches to help boost our July numbers to go towards a challenge in the North Island, The weather was sunny but still with a chilly wind so was always warmer in the car than out of it. We managed 57 cache finds and ended the night on a high note with a FTF in the fresh snow and dark at St Arnaud. Overall we totaled 107 finds for the weekend - blowing the challenge out of the water!
This one took longer than it should have due to Mum reading the hint to another cache down the road. It fitted in quite well here. Thanks for the cache

Out for a big day of geocaching. 30 on the list and we thought we'd see how many we could find. Did well today and found almost all of them. All were great hides, and we even learned stuff along the way.
Apologies for generic log, but so many to log before bed! Thanks to all the COs!!

We went out for a family day of geocaching. I think we had 30 on our list and only DNF a few. All of them were really cool hides. Thanks so much to all the COs who thought them up.
I'm really sorry to leave the same log for all of them but I don't type very well and there are so many I have to log tonight.

Had no idea we could even go this way. Like the link in the cache name! Nicely done.
Gave it a bit of a dry out as it seems to be letting in moisture somewhere.

Some Fridays I have meeting way out in the country past Renwick. So Since I am heading that way, this seems an ideal cache for my current project, getting my calendar up to three.
So I get to the site, and soon find a scorpion. Well, that was quick! But no cache. Odd. The tyre was full of water and after a little bit of swilling around I decided it wasn't a micro flooded out. Must have the wrong desert dueller. Then I saw other desert creatures 0 then clicked what the number in the cache title meant (Duh!) and a bit more hunting around, found the right item. Which is not a scorpion. And way, the cache was not flooded out!

A day off work with perfect weather meant a day trip to Blenheim to go and find some caches. I found this one in the second one of these that I checked. TFTC, Biggles.
Making the most of this lovely weather - and didn't realise how many local caches I didn't have.
Quite a busy noisy area leading up to this spot - but far enough away from all the trucks to have no one paying attention to me.
A few objects of interest to look - but the cache was found quickly.
Container sitting in water - but the inside is dry - TFTC Kiwimykl

Out this morning to further advance my way through the "discovering Renwick" series of caches. Or target practice as I fondly call them. My map is now clear again. Well apart from one slightly annoying puzzle but that will have to wait for another day or month.
A quick find at gz and thankfully no roaring engines or dust clouds. Or that's how I remember my one and only visit inside the nearby establishment. Never again. Good spot for a cache though.
Thanks Kiwimykl.

I had a completely different idea of what I'd find here when the cache was published so a bit more useless information gained. This cache was the top of the list today but as we entered from the other side there was a no entry sign which I've never noticed before on other caching expeditions while driving past. However today I did see it and decided perhaps I'd better not enter due to all the people working close by in the vineyard so found another couple of caches before entering from the opposite side. There were no signs that I saw there so continued through to complete the circuit after finding the cache. TFTC #8556
Had us searching for a bit longer than expected but found the cache safe and sound...tftc
The private access road sign made us pause briefly until a vehicle came through and Hazedarus asked him if it was public or not. He worked on the property and gave us the go ahead so off we went. I had no idea what the title meant but Hazedarus obviously did and we managed to park within 2m of the cache. A QEF.
Thank you Kiwimykl.
Thank you Kiwimykl.
As driver today I just followed instructions. I misinterpreted the cache name initially until at GZ, then I understood. QEF after that. Thank you Kiwimykl
Out for a few caches with Jo today after the chores are done and today's focus was around renwick. Had a few mystery ones solved and was keen to confirm those. Thanks to all the cache owners and sorry for the cut and paste but we got a few.
Qef. Thanks.
Qef. Thanks.
A little night caching in and about Renwick to finish the day. By luck I parked right next to where I need to be so you might say my alignment and balance was ok. TFTC
Over the hill for a Bridge weekend and found some time to collect a few smilies on the way into town.
A bit of a mission trying to drive to GZ but we got there in the end. Then it took a wee while for us to cotton on to which one we were looking for. Got there in the end.

With a weekend of no planned Geocaching activity things were looking bleak. There are (were) only 2 caches within a radius of current home (excluding the ever elusive 'Renwick') so was going to leave them for some upcoming 8-days or 23-days or whatever days. However with the tell-tale sound of new listings on Friday evening echoing across my sitting room like automatic gunfire my interest was piqued and a Sunday outing was planned.
Dropped off nightowl19 at her friends house in Waihopai and headed back this way with the dog. Parked at SPCA and gave her part of her daily walk along the track through the now denuded vineyards. Upon approaching the cache location I sighted better placement approximately 6cms from the current hide, but that would have involved renaming the cache and significantly enhancing the cache page listing to something like "Discoverer S/T Cooper" which is nowhere near as cool as 'Desert Dueller'. Current name conjures images of battles atop camels amidst the sweeping Sahara. Eat your heart out Lawrence of Arabia.
Cache was a Q E F when I'd stopped dreaming, replaced as found.

On my way back from a blat up Waikakaho, a wee diversion to here.
Knew what to expect, but nicely done.
A nice part of town here, but guess it can be noisy at times. Boom boom, brmm brmm.
Thanks Kiwimykl for the cache

This one went live at 23:00, one hour before I was due to finish work, as seeing as I had to drop the colleague home to Renwick, I decided it wise to drop by this blank log and add some ink to it.
Due to the rain, the cache was afloat and getting damp.

Out in the area today at the SPCA open day. Too busy to get the cache there, but took the opportunity to grab this one. Nice and easy to spot the right tyre. TFTC
A quick easy find on the way to the SPCA Open Day. Mrs W was expecting something totally different, Mr W knew exactly what a Desert Dueller was ... Team. TFTC
