Logs
I have had to archive this one because it got destroyed. For those that didn't find the tool, it was a thin branch with a magnet on the end, hanging from a hinge on the fence
An easy find today. Not sure what tools should be required, I didn't see one and the ground was too boggy to go far looking. I suspect that there may have been some damage to the cache as no tool was needed in the end.
The log is a little damp, but still able to be signed. I popped it into another plastic bag, although the bag was too small to close (biggest I had, sorry). Hopefully it'll act as an extra defence against moisture in the bottom of the container. The original bag needs to be replaced- it's a bit holey.

No need for a tool now. Found outer container lying on the ground and tipped the cache into my hand.
Our first cache on this visit to Christchurch from Western Australia . We didn't find any tool(s), but a bit of improvisation with a suitably selected item did the trick, and we had the cache in hand. A nice hide, find to Mama Detour TFTC
In Christchurch for the weekend with my partner and while she is doing a 2 day course I came up with her as it is the perfect time to log lots of caches and try to log 2000 before next year. TFTC
TFTC. On my way to Burwood Hospital but the sun was shinning so brightly I just needed to have a wander first. This cache sounded interesting. Initially I spotted the cache and was about to have a closer look when a family entered the adjoining space and proceeded to have a picnic. So into car - visited hospital and then returned later. No one about so a fast find and sign.
Thanks catdog77 for the fun.
Thanks catdog77 for the fun.
4 February 2017 09:20 Did get "doggled" but acted innocent and the owners decided that the other dog area would be better. Must have looked a bit suspious. Like others cache does not need tool to get at the moment. TFTC catdog77
Found once I approached from the correct direction. But as mentioned by earlier logs, the cache was easily accessible without any tools and probably needs a check from CO. I was interested to see what the tool was but I didn't find it. Tftc!
Tool is still in good condition, but cache is a little uprooted. These caches are always that bit more enjoyable. Found with geegeefromfiji
Found with Hughdg, can't believe I missed this one on my many visits to the dog park with the geo hound! Found the tool then the cache which unfortunately looks a little worse for wear. TFTC
Well I get how this is supposed to work, but as per previous logs its a somewhat simpler exercise at present. Thats a shame these ones are fun. Tecnically all well, but maybe a maintenance run required
Was out with Popmac as he hadn't found this cache. Unfortunately cache is not hidden as originally placed. Unlikely that some random person stumbles on this cache so likely that a previous cacher felt their need for a cache meant they could destroy the hide then they couldn't locate the tool.

Some **bestial** weather out today but went for the daily cache anyway, after seeing the new Dr. Strange movie.
Yeah, not really sure what are the right tools or if the cache is placed as it should be...
Can't really think of what those tools would be anyway.
No dogs out to give us away. There's a saying in Latvian about bad weather - "In this weather you wouldn't even send your dog out"
Thanks for the cache!

No trouble at gz, not too sure what the right tools were as the cache was on the ground. Tftc.
We suspect we entered from the wrong side, the little dog area, but soon found the cache, clearly not in its original state, lying on its side, and reachable through the fence. It was quickly retrieved, and as we didn't spot the tool, we're not sure how it was supposed to operate. TFTC
No tool required today although it was located. Once I had it I had a particular thought it mind as to what the cache might be but whilst looking around the actual cache all of a sudden stood out to me. Great idea. Tftc

I had gone into early labour on Friday, but nothing was really picking up, and I'd been told to distract myself during early labour... so I decided that meant cooking up a whole bunch of food, running errands, stocking up the fridge, and finding a whole bunch of caches - all between the 10 - 15 min apart contractions!!
I only had 4 finds on the calendar for today, so was keen to get the colour darker - which meant finding 7 caches today.
Far out I was uncomfortable, and alone too, as I'd left hubby at home to look after the roast chicken I'd stuck in the oven!! But I was keen to get these 7 caches!!! So sort of picked out a route with some easier looking ones. So I could just jump out of the car when needed, and be back in it quickly!
This was number 1, and I was already beginning to regret my decision to go caching!! But in the end I did manage to find the cache pretty quick, and surprisingly didn't need tools! Wondering if the hide has perhaps changed then?

Found on a eastern burbs caching raid with StreetWalker on a sunny spring day. Pity about the beasterly easterly, though.
We weren't sure whether we needed to go into the small dog park (it was a small park designated for small dogs ) so didn't, and were happy to find we didn't need to back track. A bit boggy near GZ but my shoes are waterproof so no wet feet for me. The cache was easy to spot and easy to retrieve without tools so maybe it's not working as designed? Anyway, good to find something a bit different. TFTC.

#13037. In its current state, the cache is easy without any tools! Nicely done. TFTC.
Have come across a few of these types of caches. Little dogs showed no interest. Nor did their owners! Tftc
A cold morning to be caching, but a nice quick find makes things warmer!! Thanks.
Ms KR had a training day, so I went for a cruise around Christchurch, catching up on the new caches. Pretty cold to start withbut it did get warmer (relatively) during the day.
Thanks to the CO's for the hides. Cheers.

We obviously took the wrong approach to GZ but could reach the cache through the fence and didnt need any tools to get into it. We were curious about the tools but didnt have time to stay and look. Thanks for the cache
Did not try to find the tools, instead went back to the car and grabbed them. A quick find, good to see some work put into creating this cache. TFTC
This area looks very different when all the trees are bare. The cache was tipped out of place when we arrived, but we replaced it.
Found today worh bugzptr. Cache lying in the open so we propped it back the way bugzptr had seen previously. TFTC
Quick find. Did not see a tool nor even look for one as the GC log was removed, signed and replaced by using the tools attached to the ends of my arms. TFTC.
On a night caching run with Sir Belac. We couldn't find the tool but made our own out of what was lying around. Very clever hide. TFTC

Didn't find the Tool, but we had the right one in the Cachmobile..Clever hidey hole..TFTH
Nice spot for a cache. Couldn't find the tool, but managed to get my hands on the cache and signed the log. [^] Thanks Master Cacher 10 and catdog77 for your cache.
Found with odgersaj back when I first started and didn't understand the app/have a prem account - now I do though! Signed the log back then but didn't do the online bit so logging now. Thank you!!
7313. After joining the growing list of blue sad faces just along the road I had a go at this one. Found the container almost immediately and was pleased to find that I had chosen to take the right tool. Soon had the container in hand and was on my way to the library. Thanks for the cache. Rodney.
Heading to the beach this arvo with wee dude. Slight detour...had an inkling what might be required. Seen a few of these. Nicely done and a fun wee distraction. Nice secluded wee spot too. Cheers. Pretty hot now.....phew.
Thanks for the effort that's gone into the hide.

Never did find the "tool." However had the makings in the Jimny and soon recovered the cache. Nice one and the third of these seen in the last couple of years. Surprising little dell, hidden in such an untoward spot. Thanks.
Was in the area for work and thought it would be rude not to. Found the cache easily enough but do you think I could find the right tool.... fortunately there was plenty of mother nature around me and I used my inner MacGuyver to get to log book. Great clever cache a favourite from me!
Followed the elephant tracks sighted something, now where is the tool? Once that was found the cache and contents were soon signed and replaced. Thanks for a clever cache. TFTC
I was hanging with the wee womble while Mrs Womble was getting wee wombles dinner ready when the notification for this cache came through. Wee womble had been a bit grizzly, so what better way to cheer him up than head out and try to get a FTF. GZ wasn't too far away and I arrived to a nearby parking place, with only dog owners of company. Initially went into a dog play area as I couldn't tell if the GZ was inside or outside the fence. After spotting the cache through the fence, I retraced my steps and got to the cache quickly. I knew one of two likely ways to get access to the cache. I'm sure one way would work, but as there was a nearby tool, I started looking for that. Didn't take long to find it, nicely hidden too. Got access to the cache, and I signed at (FTF) at 5:55pm, while the wee womble was happily playing in the nearby grass. Was getting the wee womble back into his car seat when I saw a person looking at their cellphone with a confused face like only a geocacher could. Good to meet Orangepeel104. Just as I was about the leave, I saw two more likely geocachers....turns out they were probably ingenue and Jess.daphane. Thanks for the cache. Nicely done
I was out with injeanious getting a couple of caches in southshore when this notification came through. We decided to come over here and try this one out. Pulled up at the carpark to see orangepeel1 chatting with 2wombles. Followed orangepeel1 in and searched with her to find the cache. Loved the tool, great idea! TFTC!
Jess.daphne and I got the notification about the cache while we were out finally collecting some of the caches in Southshore that had been taunting us for ages. Only two left to go, but the chance to get an FTF was too good to pass up. It took 16 minutes to get to GZ, but it was too late because 2wombles had already beaten us there and we spotted orangepeel104 heading to GZ. Ah well, off we went in search of the cache. Had a nice chat while we searched and ended up finding and collecting it together.
Cool cache and a nice tool. I wish I had one of these in my car. I can think of a few times it might've come in handy. TFTC!

I was still at work when the email came out for this one, I was hoping to claim it on the way home, but I was almost an hour too late! Swung past anyway as I still needed a cache for the day. Found it pretty quick, but with dinner plans and limited time I couldn't find the tool. I had a hunch of what that tool would be so I dashed back to the car to grab my own, nailed it. Nice hide! TFTC (2778)
Nice cache:-) meet another three, a one of the 2Wombles who'd nabbed it and ingenue and Jess.daphane and we worked together to grab it:-) TFTC!!
