On our way to a CITO in Canberra, but as always minniek and I just can't resist grabbing some caches on the way. Searched here for 10 before realising it may not be around. Shame. Beautiful area
Taking advantage of a public holiday, nibletricecakes and I headed out with a plan to end up at our third CITO for the weekend.
Unfortunately we didn't check logs before arriving here. We have the same sentiments as everyone else.....nothing to be found.

It's mssing, see previous log. We searched for the cache for 10min before discovering we were looking for something that's not there anymore.
The cache has been muggled and removed by the local kids. The GZ is no longer safe for a replacement cache.
Searched about for far to long when along came a kiddie on his bike asking what we are looking for. Seems this cache has been taken by someone he knows, has it at his house. Seemed to know about caching as he volunteered the one at the men's shed was taken as well. That's the story anyway.
Sad to say I have to log a DNF for this today. Coords were jumpy, but was pretty sure i found the right location...as per a previous finder mentioning rocks in a fairy ring. Found a few rocks, no longer in a ring but obviously recently moved, but no cache.
Nice easy find on a day out with the geofamily in bungendore.
Log is a little damp and will soon need replacing.

TFTC,
Well placed.
Left home yesterday on a long trip, about 8,000 km's to the Red Centre Experience GC6825Z and back.
The trip their is broken into 3 stages, home to Philip Island for the National Riley Rally, Philip Island to the Grampions to do some bushwalking, Grampians to Alice Springs for what we hope is a Mega Geocaching Event.
We are staying for 2 nights in the general area and today was all about locating and experiencing some local caches.
Visited a group of trackables that will part way with me in Alice Springs.

Nice little find but managed to bring a pen that wouldn't work. Watch out for ants and spider webs. TFTC
Found. Quick log. GPS was out about 5m but it was at least on the correct side. If you look for whst doesn't fit it will be a quick one for you regardlesd. The path seems well used by locals. And there is still some shelter from the mid day sun on some of the path

12776. Out for a drive through the countryside with AngelG27 knocking off a nice collection of caches today.
Third cache attempted by me today and finally a find ! Yay ! Walked up this hill for the third or fourth time chasing a cache - and after walking along the track and a short search AG27 came up with the goods ! Signed log, returned the cache, and we headed off to the next one on the list.
Thanks geobungers !!

Fitzy_1965 and I headed out for a drive in the country that took us from Bungendore to Crookwell and home again. Needless to say, we both found quite a few caches for the day - my total was around 36. We skipped caches in Goulburn, saving those for another day. Due to a fail with loading caches on my GPS, I resorted to using the phone for quick logs to mark those found and not. Thanks to all the cache owners for their hides and Fitzy for the fun company!
2nd find of the morning after a nice walk up and around the hill. It was not until I spotted a certain configuration that I worked out what the hint meant! Said hello to a couple of friendly dogs being walked while circling GZ.

Travelling to Canberra today and picking up caches along the way this been one of them. This area sure is growing. TFTC

I was out along Captains Flat Rd today on a maintenance run. I had some vague idea to collect a few caches with no firm destination in mind. I found myself heading down Hoskinstown Rd but a missed turnoff lead me to some very interesting places/caches, before I decided I needed to turn about & head home. I did eventually make it to Hoskingstown, but only on the way home.
I've been up here before, so I guess these are newish caches.

5132. I thought it was about time I headed out this way for a cache or two and check out the Lake. Neither let me down with some "interesting" cache hides and container placements.
A nice short wander to this one and thankfully a quick find.
Thanks for the cache and the fun.

Back together with LuckyL10n after he had found his couple of unfound........for a joint raid on this one. Took us a few minutes, for some stupid reason known only to us, before the cache was spotted.....not that it was hard, we were just weren't looking obviously. Log was eventually signed, cache replaced and I was off for one more before heading back across the border....
Thanks again GB.....we got there in the end.

#4868 - 13:45; I was out and about with Sol de lune for a caching run around Canberra and then on to Bungendore to collect some unlogged caches there. I had DNFd this cache on a previous visit and things weren't looking too good early today either. I had done a circuit around where the GPSr was leading me and was about to throw in the towel when I spotted a SPR. Checked things out and soon had the elusive cache in hand. I had clearly been misinterpreting the link between the name and the hint and looking for the cache in all the wrong places. TFTC geobungers
I was in the bung today on an errand so thought I'd try this one again after a dnf not long after publication. Didn't even need the gps this time. TFTC, Geobungers
Found on our trip to Batemans Bay. After meandering through the streets of Bungendore, we parked at the gate and then walked to the cache. Once there, it was a very quick find, even though the coordinates were 7m out for us. A beautiful little area with some good views of the suburb. TFTC geobungers!
Enjoyed the idea of being frightened on Spooky Hill - geokids disappointed with no ghostly experience. Just an overnight stay with brother on way to Sudney. TFTC.

After orienteering in Kowen Forest I paid Bungendore a visit to clean up the new caches placed here since my last visit. Thanks to the hint the cache was soon in hand. TFTC.

Another drive around today clearing the mind. After my drive (cacheless) I decided I would go and do the Mulligans Flat CCT caches. So I put the push bike into the back of the car and off I went. I arrived to get CCT - S2 - Walkover and was quickly reminded of the cull. Oh damn, wont be going in there as it was already afternoon so there is no way I would be finished by 5pm. So a quick change of plans were in place so i headed off to Lake Road near Lake George instead.
After shooting up the Hume and down Bungendore Road, I was soon on Lake Road. I had finished Lake Road and there was still a little light so I decided to head over to Bungendore for a couple grabs. No issues locating this one signed and replaced.
Thanks for the cache placement geobungers

Found on a short visit to Bungendore. I was walking to the gz and just before getting to it I noticed something that did not look quite natural and yes there it was. TFTC.
Given the history of DNF's, I only searched briefly for this one before moving on.
This was the third of four caches by this CO on my mission this afternoon/evening and the sole DNF. Like previous finders and others who have DNFd, I wandered in circles. I did waste quite a bit of time using the updated coords and with the light starting to fade, decided to pull the plug and come back another day. Thanks anyway geobungers
We spent far too long here. With three changes of coords and recent finder comments we had no confidence we were in the right place. We tried a large area but no luck.
Coordinates changed from:
S 35° 14.800 E 149° 27.100
Coordinates changed to:

Distance from original: 74.5 feet or 22.7 meters.

This one took me ages to find. Turn out, the coordinates are now really bad! About 17m out! Once I arrived home, I checked against the old coordinates, and they were only about 5m out - so I have no idea why you changed them? Would be worth going back to do a few readings on the GPS over a bit of time. But in the meantime, put the old coordinates back - they were better. Thanks GB.
A tricky hide. Walked in from a nearby road and hunted around for a while before spotting something.
Thanks

*FTF* @ 1437 . We skipped the new one in town after a brief search and moved on up the hill. Have been up here before on caching duties and it was nice to experience the views over the town again. Had to hunt around before Miss Stormcatcher made the find, not quite the hide we were expecting. Now we had some idea on the container type we had a better idea of where to look for the one we just skipped . Thanks again for the cache geobungers.
Next one in the series and this one took a few minutes to find as it is well hidden!! Good luck! TFTC
We were still out and about in this area when we noticed there was four new ones in Bungendore.
So we called passed them all to turn the little green boxes into smileys.
IPhone had us bouncing around this one till we eventually saw the tell tale signs.
