Another find for the day whilst exploring the Sunshine coast hinterland. The final find for the day as I cleaned up these three lonely green dots in the Southern Mary Valley. Scrambled up the concrete wall and began my search where it took a bit more time to find. Checked all the likely spots closer to the co-ords, but as I began to expand the search area I found the cache well tucked away. The lid is a bit damaged and the log a bit wet, but I managed to make my mark. Thanks Sweet-Sour for placing these 3 caches close to the humble origin of the mighty Mary River!
The container is somewhat perished with the weather and starting to crack, so could use a replacement soon
Sweet-Sour I found your cache Overlooking the Mary on 6/8/2022, 4:30 pm. This is my find 3923 and find # 16 today. Parked the car and made my way to the cache. Followed previous cacher’s track to GZ. Found it after a brief search. Thanks for the cache, mate! TNSLLN
Muggle65 and l decided to grab this one with no notice. Accordingly it was not in our off-line list. We had no service here so finding the container was quite challenging. But eventually we did. Thank you for the fun
This one took a little finding. NOTE: no reception here, so we had to go old school & thankfully has had lots of practice and found it.
Early trip up from the Gold Coast to meet up with geo friends nikid1, chamad, Peppa, Willis007 and kolour to head off to our main target cache of the day (A Good Egg).
After spending several hours in the Conondale National Park and finding a handfull of caches that we all needed, we pulled over to find a few extras on our way home.
This one was much quicker to get to than the previous cache and was easy to locate, good hide here.

Today was a Phonenix day, after the plans for a particular walk were postponed and people scrambled to make further plans. This small fun group raised from the ashes and decided to head north and grab a Good Egg. After a little organising, we had a meeting spot and now a car or two for the drive up. We grabbed a couple of quick caches along the way before getting to our meeting spot. As with all good plans, they are “STC - Subject To Change”. The day was fun and full of laughs and quality caches. Would do this again, great day out, thanks all.
After our walk it was onto a few caches that we passed on the way in. This was a little overgrown and a viny area. Peppa did the honours here, nice find.
Thanks for the cache and the fun hide, great place to stop. Log signed and cache replaced as found, it was onto our next one.

I was very happy to be invited along to a group caching adventure in the Sunshine Coast hinterland with Chamad, Willis007, Peppa, nikid1 and snickersallan. A total of 22 caches for me.
After our finds in the Conondales, we headed back towards Maleny finding some caches along the way. This one wasn’t so hard as the previous one but you needed to feel confident with your footwear going up the steep embankment. Peppa and I were the only ones silly enough. Tftc

Out for a day of caching in the great company of SnickersAllen, Peppa, Willis007, Chamad and Kolour. There was a few targeted caches and some others grabbed along the way.
Not sure that we tackled this correctly but it didn’t take Peppa long to find the cache.
TFTC Sweet-Sour (& Peppa).

It’s a group assault on Booloumba Creek that has seen a keen and enthusiastic team assemble at 6:30am (that’s the pre-dawn 6:30) in Carseldine to make our way North…
The team is nikid1, snickersallan, kolour, Willis007, chamad and I… so with a plan to visit A Good Egg, (excellent suggestion nikid1) first we drove, well I didn’t, I just talked, for a couple of hours through the mist/fog…
You can have the best plan, well thought out, constructed and mapped… but get enough cachers together and it’s lucky to last an hour… today was no exception…
Having finished a very successful journey into Booloumba Creek we’re heading back towards Maleny?
A quick stop and once it was worked out where we had to go there really was only one option… up…
Tftc… happy to show this cache a little ️…

Camping in Kenilworth for the weekend, decided to venture out of town and grab a few caches out this way.
Plenty of parking space and a good excuse to get one of the kiddos out of the car complaining of being car sick. Good little climb with the kiddo to a nice quick find.
Cache logs are either stamped, signed with Rogersclan13 or just RC13 for space. Thanks for the cache **Sweet-Sour**

This morning, I met up with Richmond Lad, to find a few caches in the Sunshine Coast hinterland. This cache was quickly located and the log signed. TFTC
Logged and Found as WallabyTim/KaleidoscopeCass or WallabyWanderers. Backing this up with our old account, Apologies if you receive multiple logs
Some more unloved - just shy of nine months on this one - so we are happy to give it some love! MrsWallaby made the bush bash here with the GPS pointing straight to it. Lots of traffic on the road perhaps from the last weekend of school holidays. so it was nice to have a reason to pull over and take in the river. TFTC

So of we go in the morning. We got lucky. Got the FTF available and pickup few other caches to.
Had a long and busy day.
Sorry for the generic post

Thanks for the cache sweet-sour.

After a scramble up the steep slope, Genghicat and I wandered tree to tree until finally seeing a somewhat obvious spot. Facepalm. Genghicat stands waving the cache triumphantly. Cache found in good condition. Tftc
As with our last find the trick with this cash to find a way up the embankment. Once there the journey was easy. Coming back down again had to wait till there was a break in the traffic to make sure that I didn’t stumble out into the middle of the road. TFTC
Another steep climb above the Mary River, but we found the way to this one a bit quicker than the last. Could not see the river from here though.
Similar hide location to the other one close by - well hidden within.
Took panda, left dinosaur.
Braved the 2m high grass to and from the cache - fingers crossed not stepping on any wildlife.

I had been working nearby and decided to grab this cache on my way home from work.
I had a fair idea where it was as I help the CO place this cache a couple of years ago.
All is good with this cache.

Another nice little leg stretch led us to the treasure. Sure is warm today and it’s only the first of Spring! TFTC
Well this one took us a while and has not been visited for 12 months so there was no geotrails to follow. Just long grass and a sense of adventure. Had the spray on as recently had a tick bite. Had to be careful here as a couple of drains had to be transversed getting to GZ. Found the little blighter and added our scribble and put back where I found it for the next intrepid explorer to these parts and to find an easier way out.
TNLNSL TFTC Thanks Sweet-Sour All good with this cache
Will leave the other for a cooler time. Can't have too much fun all at once now can we

Spent a wonderful weekend up here at the Mary River and grabbed this smilie on our way home. Tftc
Wasn't really dressed properly for going after this cache and had to remove a tick when I got home.
Stopped off for this second one up the hill and after a short search and there it was
Signed logbook 10/06/2016 3:25 pm and replaced all as found, then back down to join the others birding at the river side.

I was staying in Maleny for the weekend to attend a wedding this afternoon. While the rest of the family slept in and lazed away the morning, I headed out bright and early to do some caching to fill the time.
It was a perfect morning to be out in the countryside today. After parking the car I noticed the local land owner pull up on his quad bike at the gate at the top of the hill. I thought I was going to have to give this one a miss but he was only out gathering some fire wood and moved on after a short wait. Not long after I was up the hill and adding my name to the logbook. A beautiful morning for a FTF!
After enjoying a lovely Autumn sunrise up on the range I headed down into the misty valley for a pleasant drive. The fog got pretty thick as I approached the general area and I parked safely away from the crest and took a leisurely stroll to GZ. The vegetation was very wet from the heavy dew which reminded me that I need some new hiking boots! I was happy to be first to find this great little cache in a beautiful part of the world! Thanks Sweet-Sour for the reason to stop here and enjoy the view.
