Logs
A geocheck revealed that the cache has been removed. A new container added with a new log sheet. Good to go
Spent some time earlier to do a bunch of maintenance while the Geomissus is away with her mother visiting our daughter interstate, and then head out for a small bunch of almost local hides which I’ve been attempting to get to for some time. But I’m still a little time restricted so have to choose my targets wisely. Had a few fails previous to coming into The Oaks History series, so hoping for a bit more luck this time.
Apologies to the CO for the slow logging, but it’s been a hectic few weeks
END OF CUT AND PASTE SECTION
Not sure where to go next, I considered how much time I could still afford, and this also meant a consideration of the likelihood of a return to complete the series in a fashion that would avoid possible crowds. So I chose this and one quite a walk away and across some playing fields that are currently unoccupied. Drove into what I considered a safe parking spot that should cover both hides, especially after reading some of the previous logs.
So arriving at said location, I spied what seemingly seemed the very logical location for this type of hide, and from the information provided. Walked up to the GZ and was feeling very exposed. It seemed so weird that the road seems so busy today. But I als feel that sometimes the best method of stealth is none at all! So I boldly went were most cachers may not. Extracted the device and performed the required duties before boldly replacing. Not a toot or a flash of headlights, so pretty successful episode.
Crossed back over the road to continue to what was to be my last for the day.

Found on a trip to Picton and Penrith with a group of Canberra cachers. Signed as CDI23 (Canberra Day Invasion). Thanks for the hide Dragons2010
30,029. Found during an invasion of the 'Bargo up to Penrith' region on the Canberra Day long weekend with a great bunch of Cachers.
With the Canberra Day long weekend upon us, a number of Canberra region Cachers performed an invasion of the Bargo up to Penrith area. Canberra Day Invasion 2023 (signed as CDI23) consisted of minniek, Joolay, Kittykatch, isopeda, barb2e, albida33, smittengranny, Nibbletricecakes, GLISS!, Contesta, EverestHigh and myself. After half the group did a nearby 2001 Multi, we all caught up and hit the trail for many many caches. This was the next CDI23 find. Nice little mini-series and a quick find at GZ. Signed the log, replaced the cache as found, then headed off to the next one on the list.
Thanks Dragons2010 !!

Fitzy_1965 & I headed to the Picton region today with a bunch of friends from Canberra for our Canberra Day long weekend invasion (the joys of living in NSW but working in ACT for me). All caches were signed as CDI23.
We had a fun day finding, trads, puzzles & multis and a few AL's for good measure. We ended up at dinner at a great Thai restaurant after the event in Picton itself.

With a long weekend in Canberra who can resist getting away! Joined a great bunch on friends to tackle a bit of the Picton area. The day included a big investment of time in an oldie (lots of fun) and then lots of caching in the region. A really delightful day trip with barb2e, Kittykatch, isopeda, albida33, fitzy_1965, Minniek, joolay, Smittengranny, contesta, EverestHigh and GLISS! Signed most of the caches as CDI - for Canberra Day Invasion. Thanks to all the cache owners for the fun!
Picton & Penrith Canberra Day weekend Invasion. Day 2. Today the trip got underway with the team caching. I sat out the walk to 'More', which I had done many years ago and joined up after a late morning break. The group was made up of Fitzy_1965, MinnieK, Joolay, Kitty Katch, Barb2e, Isopeda, Smitten Granny, Contesta, Gliss! and Nibletricecakes. EverestHigh joined a little later on. We had a huge list of caches to do and we got underway on a warming day. As things looked to be running out of time we changed to the end of the list to get to the Dam for a virtual and then cached out way back to Picton to get to the event and a chance to meet some locals and others caching in the area today. Dinner was a great local Picton Thai restaurant followed by finishing Lab caches before I headed back to Bargo for the night.
As we headed back to Picton we stopped for as many roadside caches as we could, pleas a bit of a lap of the two small towns we passed through.
Thanks for the cache Dragons2010

On this Canberra Day holiday weekend a group of geofriends travelled north from Canberra and surrounds to grab as many caches as we could. This was one of them. Thanks to all COs for adding to our adventures. Log was signed as CDI23 - Canberra Day Invasion 23.
Out for an afternoon of caching with Steeba, Wilbert67 and The Rats. Aiming for a number of solved puzzles and various stops in between across the Wollondilly.
Cheers

Found with EverestHigh on our way back after a day in The Dilly. A quick find at GZ. TFTC
The hunt continued around this area to put some more smileys on the map along with ilook4geo. This was another nice easy find. Many thank go to Dragon2010 for placing this cache.
Some more caches found around this area when we came along with goingplaces2. Had a good day and found what we wanted, just missing some for various reasons. Log signed and replaced. TFTC.
Streak Day #3056 - Stopped by with Nightfairy85 and Dave8153 in Nightfairys new geomobile and as we approached GZ and found the cache we realised none of us had a pen, so took a photo of the cache and next time we are out this way I'll sign our names. TFTC

Great spot for it. Was a bit concerned with all the long grass and a very hot day. But no need to be concerned after all.
After doing the nearby AL I decided a quick detour to Burragorang Lookout was in order ... and as a bonus, I was able to score a few smilies along the way.
Thanks for this one dragons2010 ... and quick find on my way back from the lookout.

Heading out for a few caches to start my 2021 tally. Spent most of the morning grabbing some Lab caches and their bonus offspring before heading to the Burragorang Lookout for lunch.
A quick drive by.
Thanks

Fell behind on my logs and only just getting a chance to log these later, sorry for any generic logs!
Needed a cache for my daily streak and this was one of the closest. I've seen this type of hide a few times so it was a nice quick find in between cars. Thanks for the cache!

Find #453 on streak day #146.
In the area seeing my sister in law and just couldn’t pass up an early cache before muggles decide they want to be busy. I quickly headed over to this one and parked the geomobile pretty close to gz safely off the road. Still not much traffic about so a quick dash for an even faster find, and back to sign. I signed the log at the geomobile, and all I could imagine was someone stopping to see if I was okay. Thankfully no one did, and a quick dash to replace and off I went. TFTC Dragons2010!

Another nice quick park and grab. Nice to learn some more local history also. Tftc!
Thought we’d take a Sunday drive to The Oaks. Number 1 find for the day with lots of muggles around. Found with Gundrills, KnightJR and Panda_Girl65 (signed G, K, M & P). TFTC
Out for a nice Sunday grabbing a few caches with the geofam. A nice quick park and grab. TFTC.
Misspalot's geohusband was on top of this one today for a quick park n grab. Success!
Heading for Oakdale on a day out with some of the old team, we stopped for this park-and-grab. Although it was more of a park-and-look-at-interesting-weeds-until-the-traffic-passes-then-grab. A quick find nonetheless.
Mr 8 found this one! Be careful with little kids here, the traffic is very fast!
We attempted a hunt for this cache on the 25/6/16 at a previous location but it was mia. Having lived interstate for a couple of years we were unable to avenge this dnf.
Being in the area today, this was a must find hide. Happy to ha d that blue frown turned upside down. TFTC Dragons2010 xo

We were berri wondering werri this one could be, then geoboyfriend found it. Peak hour at the nearby air strip - a plane on the ground and another coming in. It's starting to cool down too - Lucy (our geomobile) says it's 11 degrees yet the sun is still up!
I needed a cache to finish the May calendar dates and found myself at night searching.
My guess that The Oaks would give me some choices proved accurate and the cache was soon found. Luckily the rain held off but it was decidedly cool.
Thanks for the cache Dragons2010.

Out cache with oldmorty on a big day. This one of many caches we found along our travels. Thanks to all the cache owners for maintaining their caches
Out today for a day’s caching with marj01, no bush bashing, just park and grab. After heading off pre-dawn from the eastern suburbs we visited the towns of Wallacia, Warragamba, Narellan, The Oaks and Nattai. Lots of caches were found; on the ground, dangling in trees, on signs, in stumps and even one in a haunted house. Whilst most of the caches were familiar we did strike some very ingenious ones. A large percentage of the finds were quick, however, there were some that had us scratching our heads for a while. All in all, it was a very enjoyable day out and I would like to thank all the CO's of the caches for hiding and maintaining the caches that we visited. And yes, I did read the reason/history for each cache in the lead up to the trip.
This was a bit hard cache was stuck girls managed to finally retrieve. Ellyse04 & Unicorn 8 . even had workers stop to help and actually knew what we were doing. TFTC

**Cache Condition:** Cache good.
**Took:** Nothing.
**Left:** Nothing.
**Trackables:**
**The Cache**
Not too difficult to find, but the location made this a bit of a challenge. Nevertheless the cache was obtained and SL and returned cache to its hide'y hole. I have seen a picture of aboriginal Werriberri. I think he was buried in Camden cemetery but not positive, just going off a vague recollection. I am quite interested in aboriginal history especially the Gundungurra.
**The Day**
OCW *Little Kitten* and *DustyJapserJet*. We have hardly been out over summer as it was just too hot and other things took over our days also. So this was the first day, apart from the OZ GeoMuster, that we have had a full day caching and I decided to begin by cleaning up strays. I had not completed the Burragorang Road series so that was the target and then to swoop on the surrounding area - accomplished. I am very pleased with our amazing results today, and all were found. We got home in the dark after a fantastic day out. The weather was fantastic and tonight the weather was balmy albeit for the wind.
25 = 23 0 2 [8)] not attempted.
