Find# 12533Nice quick find.Bit of a stretch to reach the cache.TFTC Dragons2010
Yay we found a third cache in The Oaks! Nice hiding spot to reach for, with CutieGuyCherry. Thank you!
Places like this can be so interesting. We have very little in the way of abandoned townships in Australia. Yerranderie is one of the few. Sorry this place was not open when I was hereThanks for bringing it to my attention tho Dragons2010
Quick find and on the next one Found the cache on the ground rehit where I thought it should be
A geocheck reveals that after vegetation removal the cache has also been removed. A new replacement container has been added, hoping for less vegetation removal in the future. Good to go
Spent some time earlier to do a bunch of maintenance while the Geomissus is away with her mother visiting our daughter interstate, and then head out for a small bunch of almost local hides which I’ve been attempting to get to for some time. But I’m still a little time restricted so have to choose my targets wisely. Had a few fails previous to coming into The Oaks History series, so hoping for a bit more luck this time.
Apologies to the CO for the slow logging, but it’s been a hectic few weeks
END OF CUT AND PASTE SECTION
After a successful hunt nearby, I made my way to my next target. It’s always interesting driving around the backstreets of areas that you drive through on occasion, but never consider exploring. Who but the locals would ever know that an area like this was even here? And as such, I was a little worried that maybe I wouldn’t be early enough in the morning to avoid the suspicion of the local kiddie muggles and mums!
I waited for the muggle neighbours to retreat into their hobbit hole and leapt from the GeoSuzi and headed into the direction I was being guided to. But once again it was a bit of a head scratching episode with the hint and some of the last logs. Thinking to myself, I’m becoming a suspicious character here, I’ve got to make a move! Gah, where is it! Oh, maybe here…..with a leg up, I had CIH, completed duties and skidadled to the safety of the transportation device.
Phew, out of sight, out of mind!

30,033. Found during an invasion of the 'Bargo up to Penrith' region on the Canberra Day long weekend with a great bunch of Cachers.
With the Canberra Day long weekend upon us, a number of Canberra region Cachers performed an invasion of the Bargo up to Penrith area. Canberra Day Invasion 2023 (signed as CDI23) consisted of minniek, Joolay, Kittykatch, isopeda, barb2e, albida33, smittengranny, Nibbletricecakes, GLISS!, Contesta, EverestHigh and myself. After half the group did a nearby 2001 Multi, we all caught up and hit the trail for many many caches. This was the next CDI23 find. Nice little mini-series and a quick find at GZ. Signed the log, replaced the cache as found, then headed off to the next one on the list.
Thanks Dragons2010 !!

Found on a trip to Picton and Penrith with a group of Canberra cachers. Signed as CDI23 (Canberra Day Invasion). Thanks for the hide
Picton & Penrith Canberra Day weekend Invasion. Day 2. Today the trip got underway with the team caching. I sat out the walk to 'More', which I had done many years ago and joined up after a late morning break. The group was made up of Fitzy_1965, MinnieK, Joolay, Kitty Katch, Barb2e, Isopeda, Smitten Granny, Contesta, Gliss! and Nibletricecakes. EverestHigh joined a little later on. We had a huge list of caches to do and we got underway on a warming day. As things looked to be running out of time we changed to the end of the list to get to the Dam for a virtual and then cached out way back to Picton to get to the event and a chance to meet some locals and others caching in the area today. Dinner was a great local Picton Thai restaurant followed by finishing Lab caches before I headed back to Bargo for the night.
As we headed back to Picton we stopped for as many roadside caches as we could, pleas a bit of a lap of the two small towns we passed through.
Thanks for the cache Dragons2010

Fitzy_1965 & I headed to the Picton region today with a bunch of friends from Canberra for our Canberra Day long weekend invasion (the joys of living in NSW but working in ACT for me). All caches were signed as CDI23.
We had a fun day finding, trads, puzzles & multis and a few AL's for good measure. We ended up at dinner at a great Thai restaurant after the event in Picton itself.

A really delightful day trip with barb2e, Kittykatch, isopeda, albida33, fitzy_1965, Minniek, joolay, Smittengranny, contesta, EverestHigh and GLISS! Signed most of the caches as CDI - for Canberra Day Invasion. Thanks to all the cache owners for the fun!

On this Canberra Day holiday weekend a group of geofriends travelled north from Canberra and surrounds to grab as many caches as we could. This was one of them. Thanks to all COs for adding to our adventures. Log was signed as CDI23 - Canberra Day Invasion 23.
Checked around for muggles before making the find as there were cars parked around, after a thorough look around retrieved quickly, TFTC:)
The playground was in use, but they often are. Cache and log are good. Someone dropped their pen underneath, but unfortunately it no longer writes. TFTC Dragons2010.
Headed out for a days caching with my fellow Gong gangster buddies.
We targeted many of the caches around the Warragamba area which involved many solved puzzles.
We had great success for the day, thanks to all CO’s for your hides and thanks to my caching buddies for a great day

Out for an afternoon of caching with Steeba, Wilbert67 and The Rats. Aiming for a number of solved puzzles and various stops in between across the Wollondilly.
Cheers

Found It!
All the rain today seems to have scared off all the kids from this playground. Which meant I could quick and easily find the cache here!

Found with EverestHigh on our way back after a day in The Dilly. While checking out an AL WP, we realised this trad was so close. We misinterpreted the hint, but soon had CIH by looking at this from a different angle. TFTC
Our penultimate cache for the day, after a very successful outing to 'The Dilly' to attend The Booos CCE at Warragamba. OCW Brewmaker. TFTC Dragons2010
Headed west for some caching fun with ilook4geo and found a variety of hides by several different cache owners. There were no problems with today's selection and all logs were signed. A nice easy find was made here. Thanks for this cache go to Dragons2010.
Did a selection of caches with goingplaces2, but skipped some where the grass was too long and some where there were muggles in close range. Enjoyed the ones we found and added our names to the log. This one was a successful find. TFTC.
After second attempt, this now a smiley face . The hint finally sunk in , thanks Dragons2010. I was able retrieve and log as children played on the swings and their mum wondering what the hell I was up to . Golden paper clip. TFTC
A geocache has found more vegetation control or lack of growth has occurred. A new container put in almost back to original position, good to go
A quick find. I do like Dragons descriptions to keep you on the straight and narrow although, earlier in the day a visit to the heritage Centre would have been good. Thanks
No luck on the last visit but today we weren't to be denied and made a quick find. TFTC!
I nearly drove by this one because I was expecting to see a heritage building. Only saw the old ones once I got out of the car. No problems with the find.
Thanks for highlighting some local history here.

Find #452 on streak day #145.
In the area to see my sister in law and saw this cache on my map. As it was just down the road, a bit of a stroll was called for, so I grabbed my necessary items and headed over. Quite streets and a lovely park as I was coming up to gz. I could immediately see a few possible locations. Checking the hint, I started to search around and quickly had CIH. Another nice and easy one for today. I signed the log and replaced. *log sheet is dampened - appears rain might be getting in.* TFTC!

Finally catching up on my logs! Out for my daily cache and this was next on my list out here in The Oaks. GZ was nice and quiet so I had no problems searching, I didn't need long though as my instincts were on point and I found it straight away in what I thought was the most obvious spot. Thank you for the cache!
Thought we’d take a Sunday drive to The Oaks. Number 2 find for the day with lots of muggles around. Found with Gundrills, KnightJR and Panda_Girl65 (signed G, K, M & P). TFTC
Another one for our Sunday out with the geofam. Nice hide. Quick find and lucky to have an empty park for muggle free search. TFTC
Great camo! Blends in well! Thankfully this was spotted quite quickly though without any ️ guardians! Phew!!! Tftc!
Appears vegetation maintenance has been done during lockdown. Log and cache replaced, same size same clue, good to go

Found it, but wasn't easy. But I am sure some of the veterans could find it with much more ease.
After visiting hairdresser near by we stopped for this cache. Quick find while geokids played at the park.
Coordinates were off about 2-3 metres but it made us have a really good look. When we found it, it was worth all the effort. TFTC
