The guard rail in question has been seriously damaged by an accident. It appears the cache is out of action. A check by the CO is needed please.

This geocacher reported that there is a problem with this cache.

No luck today. End of the barrier has been smashed up and although we searched for a while could not located it.

31-Mar-19
The guard rail has been hit and is badly damaged. If that's where it was then we think it may be gone.

Found it after ages walking up and down. almost worried wet n wild security would get suspicious . It was where I was looking all along! Simpler than I was thinking tho. Almost gave up but after coming this far from home by bicycle was determined to get it on the first attack. I’ve had passes for wet n wild every season since it opened in 2013 (almost) this is the first season I have not had one haha, rising past on this hot day makes me think... ohhh can I pleeeese go in? Haha, TFTC!

Congratulations Sensible Shoes on 900 finds! I hope you can achieve 1000 finds at the Clear Waters event. A quick easy find on our way home after enjoying a nice walk and drive around Prospect Reservoir. TFTC.

20-Jan-19
We found this one on our way home after a nice day caching around Prospect Reservoir today. It felt a bit weird not going in to Wet 'n' Wild today but seeing it from an outsider's point of view. Also, this cache was Sensible Shoes' 900th find! TFTC

20-Jan-19
Our 900th find! We weren't expecting to reach a milestone today ...we were just heading out for a chill couple of finds and then realised how close we were - of course, we then had to go for it. It was a convenient choice for a milestone cache but also a fitting one, since this year for the first time our family became season passholders at Wet n Wild and have spent quite a few days out here. So many times as we've been leaving we have said "oh - the cache outside - shall we get it?" ...and each time, ready to get home it's been "nahhh, not today". Today was the day! We even had one of the kangaroos we'd seen at the last few caches on the way out from the Reservoir watch over our milestone find, outside the Double Bowlseye. Yaahoooooo! Thanks for placing and maintaining all the geocaches in the area
Still lots left for us to come back to.

CACHE #132

Found at 17:51hrs, 11 of 13.

Parked across the street. Container appears to be loose, and not attached to anything. The cache's current location does not appear to be a problem, as I imagine there is not much foot traffic to disturb it.

Signed log and replaced exactly as found. TFTC

I had time to find a few caches this morning before I had to head to the airport and home. It was a bit wet this morning which is probably appropriate for this cache. TFTC, Biggles.

We understand why the whole road is marked with "No stopping" but we ignored it today as there were no one around. Cache was found in the first spot we checked - but actually on the second check in the same spot. That's the beauty with geocaching Wink

#3344 - Cycled here this morning. Propped the full carbon up and commenced search. I had exhausted all my search trick, except.... a very careful, but well guarded , feel. That doesn't feel right...because it is the cache! Many thanks to the CO **contactpete** for establishing and maintaining another local cache.

I detoured down Old Prospect Rd this afternoon to pick up a couple of caches that had been MIA when I last came through, and was pleased when I saw that a couple of new ones were showing up on my map.

This one proved to be a straightforward find in the expected place. It was good though that I was heading westward rather than easterly as I was able to pull right off the road and park the car away from rhe 'no stopping' signs.

Our first attempt resulted in a drive by a no parking.
We came back after the reservoir caches but noticed again there was no parking across the road. Dropped off GK3 to look while I went and turned around in wet and wild. Unfortunately it was a DNF for us today but we will be back when the traffic is not so bad

15-Jan-17
had a nice walk to the cache as its all no stopping along here TFTC

In the area after visiting the drive in last night. It is going to be a busy day at wet and wild today so we aimed to get here early. Nice quick find. Tftc

Finally found, between helping a Chinese tourist with directions (not much help as I'm not from Sydney), cars and my gps had me the same distance into the park to where GZ was outside the park. Handy hints from previous logs helped. I have used my camera to search tricky spots, but first time using video- so helpful when you're not wanting to stick your hands blindly somewhere. Tftc!!!

So this thingamajiggy was telling me it was inside the park as so the one around the back , after disturbing a truckie parked across the road I had found it as previous finders have stated the obvious !!

04-Sep-16
There was no problem locating this cache and all was quiet on the road. Our name was soon added to the log and we were on the move again. Thankfully we did not have too wild a time looking for this cache. Thank you to contactpete for placing this cache.

21-Aug-16
Checked the most likely spot & found the cache. Quiet on a Sunday allowed us to park illegally & make the grab. Tftc xo

Tftc. Illegal park: check
Overlooking cache on first pas: check.
Have Mrs jaybeem come to help and spot it immediately: check.

I parked across the road for this one. We looked in what we thought was the obvious spot, and didn't see the cache. So we looked in a few more places. Then I read some old logs, and saw a comment about parking illegally across the road. Looked up & saw the no stopping sign. Oops! Better finish up here quickly.

So I looked again in the first place we'd looked, and this time found the cache. It had been placed incredibly far back, so it was a stretch to reach. No surprise we hadn't spotted it on our first look. Log was quickly signed so we could get back to the car & moving before I got a ticket.

Thanks Smile

We'd come down to Prospect to do a multi cache so Toriaz could qualify for the souvenir. She managed to do the Prospect Reservoir caches too, today, which I had already found, but there were a few in the surrounding area, like this one, that I was yet to find. Thanks

I was approaching this one from the wrong direction, so pulled over opposite GZ in the no parking zone and chose my moment to cross over. Took a few looks in a couple of places before finding it. Signed and replaced, then waited for the traffic to clear again. TFTC!

Thank goodness for the iphone's video feature to look in crevices! Gotcha. Note to CO...don't expect too much from my kids' logs. They enjoy the hunt, but logging is not as much fun. I'll probably have to do it for one of them...or both.

At one stage while searching all the street lights went out forcing me to get my torch, which was a good thing as it shined my torch up small nooks and crannies and discovered the cache in a spot I was not able to put my hand and way too dangerous for it to have a kid friendly attribute. After going back to my car to get a tool to help in retrieving the cache I worked out that once I had SL #2534 on streak day #1406 it took me more than 45 minutes to get this cache in between the traffic. I returned the cache to a location befitting the attributes and D/T rating. TFTC As I'm writing this log in my car another cacher has Wales up - time to introduce myself and help him out. Nice to meet you Millie.

11-May-16
I'm visiting the area and decided to take a caching walk after work. It's a surprisingly busy road. As I approached gz a car pulled up and a figure got out. At that point I left to find a cache down the road. Coming back I found parked muggle was actually cacher. Thankfully she stopped and we chatted. I have never met another cacher. A pleasant end to my caching evening. Nice to meet you too riz.

Stopped by in my way home to grab a quick cache. But it took me longer than it should have, must have touch it 3 times before I found it. But I did not leave without a smiley. TFTC.

#2996 (1 of 2 today) (Streak day 356)

Well, I'm back from Tassie where I targeted my last hidden month available in Australia! While I'd rationed my finds there due to my 3,000 milestone plans, Tasmania's oldest cache was a must grab. Ironically some plans back here have changed and I could have grabbed one or two more. Oh well.
And so I looked at my stats after the trip and... Hold on, I don't have a find for **this** month. Well, that's easy to remedy.

Went for two today - my plans changed after my finds. Interestingly, both finds had logs dated... in the future. Hmmm. Will watch the electronic logs here with interest.
Happy Mother's Day to all the mothers out there - I visited mine after making my finds.
###END OF CUT AND PASTE SECTION###
Well after parking in the closest legal spot - 400 metres away - I made like a power walker on the way to GZ.
Thankfully it was a quick find. I just had to time it due to all the passing traffic.
Completed signing duties - it's not the 10th is it?

Then the longish walk back to the *Family Chariot*.

#3598- I was heading home to the mountains and my cache nearby on the same park theme had been reported as a DNF, so I decided to check it on the way past.
Of course, the wild place ( he who may not be named) is closed now until the long weekend in October, so it's very quiet there today. An instant find- no security guards today but I guess their CCT is still going nonetheless. Thanks.

4/5/16. 11:03 AM. Cache #3812.
2nd of 5 this morning - Granville, Prospect, Seven Hills & Schofields.

Only about a 15 minute drive here from "Logan The First", and with no hint I had to guess it should be in the most obvious place. On my first few inspections of this place though, I saw and felt nothing. I expanded the search a little but there were few options, so I went back to the first place and felt around a bit more. Cache in hand!

Signed as 2TF and replaced. Admired the size of the quiet behemoth over the fence (I've only been the one time) and then onto the next cache, "Come fly with me....". TFTC.
