We decided to head to Maitland for an overnight stay, left the caravan behind & booked into a local hotel.
We spent the whole day caching in the area, this proved quiet a good way to do some sightseeing.
Many great caches were found, some very tricky, in some wonderful locations.
Thanks for placing this cache Brodie Family

We have headed south a few weeks early to have a little holiday prior to attending the Oz Geomuster Mega event. After spending a few days in Sydney we headed up to the Hunter Valley wine region for a a short time but today is our last day in the area, so we made the best of it while we could Razz

We had no difficulty in locating the cache and with our name added to the log book, we continued on our way.

Thank you Brodie Family for having placed the cache and for maintaining it for everyone to enjoy Cool

A quick trip to Rutherford with Gibberish and my minions 2 and 5. We decided a few caches were just what we needed to stretch our legs. we picked this and another nearby because they should have tradeables in them for the kids. This was a super cute hide and there was room for some small trades I think we took a little black bat ring and left a yellow parachute man.

Fine day but a bit windy to come up this way for some smileys. It was blowing a gale across here from the road where we parked. Made a quick find which wasn't what we expected. TNLNSL. Thanks Brodie Family

Find #719
Off for some Father's Day caching today, we decided to do a mixed bag of caches around Maitland. We augmented the team today with Mum737, so we had *much* better rations and more eyes to search....
We ended up with 7 finds for the day, not bad considering some significant walking (carrying) with our nearly 4 year old.
This was our first stop, and as we started poking around at GZ between groups of muggle walkers, Mum737 poked the cache - 'Is this it?' - we haven't heard the end of it yet! A nice cache, different from the usual.... Thanks Brodie Family....

We decided to go for an afternoon of caching around the Maitland area to grab the remaining caches we needed & to finish off our long weekend before going back to work. We parked on the main road & walked up the path. A nice quick find was made. Its nice to see some thought being put into caches & coming across something different. We signed the log & replaced. Another quick find in the area and something a little bit different. Retrieved, signed and then had to wait to replace back in its hide for a dog walker and the dog really seemed to be taking its time. TFTC.

Nice quick cache but no birds this mornings.

Walked through here this arvo and checked co ords. It was saying about 7m out which isn't too bad. If you see the parrot hollow in front of you, you're in the right spot. Also we actually found a set of keys on the path near this cache.

Last night council sold this land to the Catholic Church of Maitland for $6.5 million. It looks like they will be building a private school. Sad to hear this so go and enjoy the bush and bird life while it's still there.

After work I past here. After not finding anything out of the ordinary at the posted coordinates and being asked by some very nice locals if I had lost my keys I decided to move on. After finding Fluffy's House I continued along the dirt track and past some odd garbage, before popping out a bit up hill from this cache and walking back down. Then there was more people walking, so I kept going. After a hundred meters turned around and tried a different spot from where I tried earlier. How did I miss that? My GPSr had me searching where the gap in the fence was, but it was a bit more up hill then there. I did not get coordinates and as I found it, more people were leaving the house right behind. So off I went again. Signed the log and finally returned it. As the same guy came back again. Arrggh, too many people. All done now. Home time.
Thanks for the great walks and fun cache!

Joint FTF. TFTC! We have just recently moved to Rutherford so we were close by when this came online. We saw a lady walking her dog nearby. Little did we know she was headed in the same direction. Upon arriving at GZ, Aussie Ben also approached. Wasn't hard to spot. Xavi loved the cache

Lo tengo 1255hrs

This one took a little time 'cos the GPS wouldn't settle and I didn't really know what to expect to find - small and is better than a mint tin, eh?

Well I'm a bit of a "fun guy" so eventually I stumbled on something that looked like it came up after the last shower and there it was. An excellent hide, hope it's not muggled too soon.

Joint **FTF** It's not very often I get a new cache pop up so close to home so I grabbed my trusty geo-pooch and went for a walk. Approaching GZ I happened to notice a few other people wandering about and thought I might have to wait out some muggles, only to then notice they both had phones in hand and seemed to be moving in the same direction. Alas we had a whole team of fellow geocachers tracking this one down! Thanks aussieben and MrsMayers for sharing the find. Cute little cache was found and log was signed. It's a beautiful spot up here on the hill, thanks for the cache.

Took a detour from work and had a caching lunch break. It's amazing how many people can find a cache in the first hour! Got impaled on a nearby cactus. Ouch. Be careful where you put your hands. Now to find a coffee Smile TNLN TFTC

**FTF** came here after finding fluffy's house and on the way in i seen two cachers also attempting to make a first to find. A very interesting hide -beats a mint tin anyday, a favorite point from me. Thanks for bringing me here and thanks for the cache.
