Logs
Today we decided to drive the Grand Ridge rd as previously we had only driven part of it. Collecting caches along the way, was almost ready to give up on this one when I saw the cache on the ground hidden by vegetation. The log was a bit damp but I still managed to sign it then put it back in a more appropriate place that matched the hint.

Recent slashing and grading of the road may have displaced it, but we didn’t find it.
A quick find after we had come down from Tarra Bulga NP.
The kids nearly got wet feet here! Lucky as we had still quite a few more planned stops.

We found your cache while exploring the area, a fine day, excellent scenery, a great day out.
Cache and contents were in good condition.
Thanks for placing and maintaining this cache for our enjoyment.

We were out for an afternoon drive exploring the area and stopped by here to grab this cache as we passed. This was almost a DNF which would have been embarrassing considering how everyone was saying how easy it was in past logs. However I eventually found the little fellow on the ground and after signing the log, I returned it to where I hope it was supposed to be.
Thanks for find #1586

Tftc Noonan. My second of yours today. A few too many shrubs for good views but a bit of a scramble around or back along the track a bit affords wonderful panoramas.
Enjoying a Sunday drive in our new car & of course trying to find a cache or two. Nearly caused this oldie to get a wet foot but managed on the second try. Cache all good.
Easy find, but it was notable as I drove along Grand Ridge Road just how much had been left behind. Melbourne may have grown hugely in the last century, but so many lost towns with only a sign at most to remember them by. Thanks for the cache.
Out for a day of caching and sightseeing with Biggles of Oz and Mrs Biggles. This was the nineth find of 16 for the day. While Biggles of Oz and Mrs Biggles had recently found this cache as well they still stopped so we could search for it. Mr Pooky made a quick easy find once he was in the right spot. Unfortunately there are no views to see here now. TFTC and bringing us to this area.
Day trip Melb/Trafalgar/Thorpdale/Yinnar/Jumbuk/TarraBulgaNP/JackSmithLake/WoodsideBeach/McLaughlinsBeach/Melb.
No views from here anymore as the re vegetation has really taken hold. I guess the next time views will appear will be in about 20-30 years when they trees are again harvested for the Maryvale paper mill - or if another fire decimates the area!

Touring around the Jeeralangs today enjoying some great cache locations. Had the young adult cross the 'river' ditch for this one Tyftc
Out on a road trip with Mummy Short Legs with the aim of finding a few unloved caches (and any other ones we happened across). Our final stop for the day after driving many a winding road in less than ideal conditions, very thankful for the few caches along the way to break up the journey. We tried one likely spot first then I found it on the second. We were spooked for a bit by the sound of an approaching vehicle... that never actually arrived. Convinced we heard a Lyre bird in action! TFTC NoonaB
Last stop on our crazy round-trip to Yarram and we pull over to make a nice, quick find. Well, it was quick once we chose the right sign. As we were about to cross back over the road to return to the car, we hear a vehicle approaching......but it never got there. I'm going to assume it was a lyrebird absolutely smashing out an impression of a car - I love those birds, so entertaining! TFTC NoonaB
Found on the way back from Tarra Bulga NP. Wow, thanks for sharing the history. TFTC!
Drove past this one today and performed a maintenance check. Other than some cobwebs all is well with this cache
Second to find one name in the log but not electronically logged
Nice historical site... Tftc
