We've moved out of the area and can no longer maintain. Hopefully someone else can put some new hides here
Came back a second time since I could find it yesterday. I looked at every "insert hint here" in the area with no success. Unfortunately, there was someone in the garden nearby. So, I walked another loop in the bush and came back. Found it when I was just about to give up. Must have walked past a dozen times already. Very well hidden, indeed!
A bit of a mission especially in awful weather
Found by my dad with help from the hint

Dot day . . . . . O M G . . . . . . . Parked, got back pack (just in case) headed down REALLY overgrown little walkway, negotiated around tree that takes up over half of said alleyway . . . . . Uh Oh, a neighbouring dog , barked the WHOLE time I was in the bush. So much garden waste dumped in here, very sad to see surveyed area, spied where I thought I should be (cell ph was 12 mts off) looked in a few prospective places but nothing, stood back . . . . . AHA, yep there it is. Left a TB today. MY GOD THIS IS MOSQUITO ALLEY . . . . . note to self to apply repellant next bush visit
Didn't take too long to pinpoint the GZ and the hint pretty much made it a quick find. Thanks!
Finally, our first Mega. We missed the last one in Auckland all those years ago by 3 or 4 months as we had not even heard about Geocaching back then. Anyway, Mr. Kiwi got a leave pass and was able to attend this event. Picking up UncleSamNZ, we headed off to see what was happening today.
Heading on over to Manurewa, we came across this cache in a lovely quiet part of town. You wouldn't even believe that you were in the middle of suburbia going for a walk in this bush.
When we finally found the entrance to the bush walk for this cache, we were announced by one of the neighbourhood hounds. With the tree cover, the GPS signal was not the best, so we spent a little while looking for the cache somewhere where it was not. Then another look and we saw that we were in the wrong place.
A quick correction to our suspected GZ and a new search started. It didn't take us long to find the cache given the hint.

Out with LiverKiwi & Antznz for a bit of caching and to enjoy the Mega.
Took a few minutes of searching but we got it

Thank you!!! This was a really fun find, although it took a bit of time before we found it.
This one was a bit more sneaky as there were a few neighbours and barking dogs around so we tried to be quiet.
Cach found safe and dry-ish.
Log was a little damp and full to overflowing.
Mite be time for a new log.
Apart from that a great cach .

Was hoping to get 4 out of 4 for this series but not this time. I’m from the area and drive past this all the time but first walk around. Tftc
Very good cache, took us a while to find bc of wrong turns and stuff like that but overall a good cache
Fun off track hide. Could do with a new log. I didn't bring one today so apologies for not adding myself.
Caching with themexikiwi today and doing a few caches while we had a bit of time free.
Another straightforward find here in a likely looking spot and we were soon off again to the next one. TFTC

It was so fun and guess what I found the travelling bug I’m gonna bring it back to Australia and try and hit it in the geocaches in Australia thank you very much I’m very joyed these that geocache it was very fun like when it was in the hall and actual hole in the tree next fence in the army casebooks okay I know which one it is and yeah that was my pen in the box but so we can ride our names on it
This was our second find on the HillPark Bush Series adventure & laughed at ourselves for walking around a whole block when there was an obvious entrance to the bush walk not far from where we were originally haha! Easy find, wood* highly recommend finding this one. TFTC
I came to Auckland today to find the last missing jewels for the Mystery in the Museum challenge. This was s really nice hide on a nice trail. Thanks for bringing me here. (My smartphone was 13m off the listed coordinates, though). Thanks for placing. Tftc
Another nice find in order to recover the missing jewels for the Mystery in the Museum challenge. Nice bushwalk!
Found together with Piratenschatzsucher and Greenkiwikids and signed as team Piraten. Tftc

On a souvenir hunt with Mum and Dad. The plan for today is to find exactly 6 caches in order to recover the missing jewels. This was strike six Done, yippie.. Tftc
Quick and easy find on a wonderful little trail. Geocaching is such a great way to learn about a new place. This is my fifth find in New Zealand and I'm looking forward to more in the coming couple of weeks. TFTC
Probably confused an old lady doing her gardening but we got there! Paper needs replacing
We needed a cache today to fill in a dot day. After we tried at the nearby #4 in this series with no luck this was the next option. Following the GPS on our phones and using the hint info, lead us straight to the GZ. A pleasent evening walk in the bush. The container was easy to spot. All good at GZ. The log is full. Found with purply and darthcacher1. TFTC
Mr 3 found this one before mummy had even looked up from my phone - his first find all on his own - the kids are getting good at this! Dropped a travel bug
Across the road to more beautiful bush, really enjoying these urban spots. Beautiful trees. Found with mrcleverclogsnz
I have been enjoying playing on my scooter, had to leave it on the main track for this one.
Standing admiring trees so as to not be seen as suspicious by neighbour tending their garden and I glance down to see cache! Lovely spot. All good. TFTSeries
Took a bit more to find this one.
GZ seemed to be a little off.
My 6yr old wouldnt quit. And it paid off!

Last one. Totally enjoyed the area. Was great way to start the geocaching day. Tftc.
This was tricky. Looked twice and wasn’t until the third time and a shorter member of our team with better eyesight and bending lower that we finally found it!
We felt as though we were almost in the nearby neighbour's backyard but made the find after a short search
Came here early today with Merlot 58. Has been an enjoyable walk through the park ahead of the weather breaking. Nice straight forward find
We decided a wander around the Botanics would be a great idea to spend a lovely afternoon but as all caches have been found we needed to seek out our daily hunt elsewhere. A big tree has come down very close to GZ but still easy enough to access. Lid number recorded. TFTC
9.20am
Well this weekend was going to be a biggie.
Along with 3 work jobs we decided to see if we could knock off all the caches in Atiu Park.
First there was the any event in Papakura along with a bit of a bribe a puzzle which we had no idea as to solve.
All park caches were found by following Co Ords and hints given. Some caches were very wet and need maintenance done to them.
The park involved a lot of walking to tick off. SLTFTC

With Gap (of Fap and Gap)... Filling in time before attending the CITO at Conifer Grove...
The Hillpark Bush Walk series has been on the radar for a while. With time on our hands, today seemed ideal... We drove around looking for an entry into the bush. We spied a sliver of pathway between two properties, and breathed in as we passed between a tree and the boundary fence... There were a few possibilities at ground zone, and Gap seemed to make the right choice on the first sweep. This cache contained an interesting item that will prove useful once we figure out how to use it. TFTC.

Out on a little excursion with Janno216 to get some cache's in the area. This despite being the last in the series was our first. Quick find once in the right area. Thank's for the cache.
Dear Cache Owners,
I am a German guy who stays in New Zealand for eight months.
My English is not perfect, so please don't wonder if my log entries sound a bit strange. Thanks!
----------
Today I made a Little tour together with thegreatauk to collect some easy traditionals, only one DNF
First one here. easy find.
Thanks for hiding!

Figured since I was commuting home to Hamilton tonight I will get some fresh unconditioned air and find some caches... This is a surprisingly great patch of bush! But the alley in from Hillcrest Grove was a little dicey! Who let's trees grow in a narrow alley!? Only a muggle and two dogs out today. The chihuahua was hyena coloured...
No problems here either. After finishing this little series with a DNF at #4 and collecting the numbers in case the bonus is published it was back to the car. TFTC
GPS device guided me almost to some garden near cache location. Reading previous logs helps to locate hide. All good at GZ. TFTC
Suck a fine pocket of native bush here. We stopped and chatted to two contractors surveying the area for stray non-native species of palms. They are very difficult to recognize among the Nikau Palms. Thank you for bringing us here!
A nice day to pick up some geocaches, enjoyed the sunshine and the fresh air, thanks for placing this cache
Auckland
We spent the morning caching in south Auckland. We visited many parks we had not been to before.
We also found another lot of grotty caches.
This was a lovely lot of native bush, even saw some silver fern.
Favourite point given
Thanks for placing this cache jacquiandgreg

Took me a while to find this one, as the gps had me near the neighbours compost bins. After reading previous logs I realised I should be looking a little further into the bush, & soon located the cache.
Came here this morning just after dawn to find this one to continue this series and to continue my daily streak (Day#290). Never been here before and it was a nice peaceful walk thru the bush then a quick find at the GZ. Remembered to grab the number from this one. TFTC
Caching with rustynz who tells me I need to catch up with my logging
Sorry for the generic logs. Thanks to the CO for hiding and maintaining all these caches.

Braved the busy road, and made our way onto the track. The GPS bounced around a little under the tree cover, and for some reason we were being navigated down the skinny path leading to the road.
Decided this could not be right, so walked back into the forest, and again soon spotted something like the hint, and I had the cache
This time remembered the numbers, and then navigated ourselves back to the car, via the other caches found in the series today.

The last one on the series for us today, just me and the hound and we spotted on the map the best place to access the cache down a tiny, narrow lane. When I got to GZ I saw that one or two of the neighbours were letting themselves creep a little into the park but the cache was not near their belongings so that was good. Found once I looked in the right hint object, all good here. Thanks for the cache, series complete! Will keep an eye out for the bonus, you never know!
Mr Coblet's dad has been recovering from an illness so a nice family walk in the bush on a beautiful afternoon seemed like a great way to help get his strength back. We thought this was a perfect series of caches to pick up along the way as it would give him a chance to rest each time we reached one.
It was a shame to come to the end of this very enjoyable series but nice to end on a challenge.
This was the trickiest of the five, not just because it was off the beaten track but also because of the proximity to muggle dwellings. It was difficult to determine where their properties ended and the reserve began and many seemed to be storing their garden items a lot further into the bush than they really should have, making it feel like we were on their property. But fortunately our stealth ensured we were unnoticed and we located the cache without incident, successfully completing the series.
Thanks jacquiandgreg for a great series and a perfect way to spend our afternoon.

Exploring the area, with a spot of geocaching, before picking up my teen from a nearby event. Much better to get out & stretch my legs in a lovely little reserve, rather than sitting waiting in the car or, worse still, going shopping! No-one around today which made the search easy - helpful hint meant it was a nice quick find. Thanks for bringing me here, TFTC.
After a tough week had been needing to get the hell out of Hamilton for a bit and grab a few numbers. So leaving home at 5am with HKCB we had a route all planned and goals in mind we headed for a few caches in south Auckland along with working our way up towards Botany.
When we left home it was dark, when we arrived home it was dark, so all in all not a bad days caching with 52 caches found along the way. There were lots of laughs and solving of the worlds problems along the way, but the one thing neither of us could grasp was how can people bear to live in such a rabbit warren? still that remains a question for the universe.
very nice little series and well placed
Thanks to all the cache owners for putting them out and continuing with the maintenance

I was invited to head out with C&D on another caching trip, this time to Auckland to focus on the hides in the Dannemora and Flast Bush areas, plus a couple of other cache clusters a bit further South. An early start meant we got the most out of the day with over 50 finds, on a wide range of caches, which varied the day nicely. I myself had no specific plan for the day, bar there were a couple of puzzle caches in the area which I had solved and was hoping to finally claim the smilie for.
All in all another great day out caching, with the weather gods on our side (bar being very wet underfoot in a few parks), some great hides and as usual great company. A big thanks to all the CO's for the placements.
