Today headed out solo for a big day of caching around Port Wakefield and a bit of the peninsula for some fishing and then home via Balaklava.
Enjoyed the day out but was knackered when I got home. Some great hides and a lot of manky mint tins.
Got a bit sun burnt. Enjoyed a lovely packed lunch on the peninsula.
All up just over 50 caches found for the day as well as the lab caches In Port Wakefield.
Thanks to all the CO for the hides was a good start to the New Year.
Quick park and grab here TFTC LiB

We stopped off to search for this cache on our way towards Port Wakefield. The cache was soon located once at Ground Zero where we signed the log book and then replaced as found. Thanks so much for the cache and greetings from Zimbabwe
A huge weekend of geocaching with Mary from Aussie M & M. We got ourselves a lovely little cottage in Kadina and made this our base. So many caches and so little time we had to target certain ones that we felt were special enough to get a visit. As per normal we fixed any that needed some love so other could find them after us.
Thanks to 3LG from mogni

A nice easy find here although the log book was not replaced correctly. Took a while with a tool to retrieve it. Left it in better condition than we found it.

Arriving at our SA friends @Hahesyfam for a quick visit on our holiday adventures, we told them of our Geocaching fun. Well they were interested and keen to give it a go. So we set off today with 3 geokidsin tow and made a plan to get some local geos done.
We struggled with the heat and dirt but we managed to find 21 of the 24 caches we visited.
Thanks to all the COs for placing these caches here for us and others to enjoy.

Heading back to our accommodation after an afternoon on the letterbox trail. Just picking up a few on the way back.
Our aim this afternoon was to grab all the letterbox caches along this trail and throw in whatever else we came across as well. Everything was found reasonably quickly and there were no issues with any of the caches we found. There was a strong wind blowing when we started which increased throughout the afternoon with recordings of 48-60 kmph. As we neared the end of the trail, a dust storm kicked up and reduced visibility in places. tftc

Owl took longer than the waiting carload wanted, so got directed to the cache in the end.
found with allister w. stamped log as mystery randoms to save space. Found after lunch and after doing the 2 nearby OTD series. quick find.
Found with Sir Spectre on a day out in the area with the nearby OTD series being our main goal. A good day out with approximately 80 finds and only a couple DNFs. TFTC
Found with dty73 and youban on our Yorke Peninsula invasion! Log signed DTY (dty73/Tankengine/youban) Thanks!
We have a small team travelling to The Yorke Peninsula from Canberra. It was decided by the group before we left that our team name would be DTY, although I act like the boss, I rarely am and so the initials actually stand for - dty73, Tankengine & Youban.
Today was the last day of our caching holiday and so we headed from the Yorke Peninsula this morning back to Mildura for the night, before heading to Canberra the next day.
Quick find here, especially compared to the sign at the other end of town. Tftc 3LG!!!

As this is a generic log comments relevant to this cache will be placed at the end. On a caching trip with Dty73 & Tankengine to Yorke Peninsula. Team signed as DTY. Thank you all the cache owners who have put so much effort in placing and maintaining these caches. Heading back home and doing a few caches on the way. We saw the town sign and memories of a similar sign flooded our brains. Happily the hint kept its promise and the find was made quickly. The cute little flowering plant added a nice touch. Kutgw
Ou today with 3LG (Co) and made a stop here for me to locate. Was late in the afternoon when we drove this way home from Clare. Must say was looking for something a bit different for the cache hide and at a different elevation. Log was soon signed and off we headed . TFTC
A trip up north with a Rat and a Starfish collecting a few new caches and many others that we had yet to get.
A sneaky hide but still no match for the Rat. signed and returned, cache is safe and sound TFTC

Day 2 of our girl's adventure and Gral4 and I did a spin around town collecting caches before heading into the wild and retackling yesterdays DNF, some 4WD caches and exploring the backroads for some planetary pursuit caching.
Another interesting day, we encountered mangroves and slippery mud, saw kangaroos, a rabbit, a dead cat [)], a UFO lauchpad [?], an old homestead, a grandprix track, a few trains and big cactus plants amongst other things.
Gral4 did some great 4WDing which meant we could get to some places my Toyota Corolla can only dream about I dropped lots of TB's on the way but we also picked up another 4.
Weary and hungry we ended up at Cookies at Two Wells for dinner and enjoyed a very tasty sweet and sour chicken dish to complete the fun weekend.
No magnets here, just trees Was our last cache for the day and trip!

Day 2 of our adventures. This was much more adventurous than day 1. We did a lot of 4x4 driving, up tracks that hadn't seen a vehicle for ages, NEARLY conquered mangrove mud without ending up in it, saw two kangaroos and two sleepy lizards, three trains went past just after we went across the crossings, and we had lots of fun. It was good to get the 4x4 out and use it for what it is designed for, although muggle hubby might not be happy with the layer of missing duco. I have never been confident to use the 4x4 like this, there will be no stopping me now.
This was one tough magnet . Thanks for the cache .

Once we read the cache information we understood where the name came from. So the name was no longer a distraction.
We enjoyed the opportunity to examine this sign close ùp. After getting his knees dirty Mr Y'stassie found he was on the wrong side of the sign but had managed to spot the container. It was round the other side more dirt on the knees and lo and behold the cache container was in hand.
Container and contents were in good condition.
Thanks for this cache 3LG. It is always good to have plenty of room to pull off the highway while searching for a cache

It was Anymules Birthday and he wanted to go and find 'his' OTD birthday cache. If you are going to do one OTD you may as well do the series. So I invited myself along for the ride and met up with the birthday boy in Balaklava for a fun day of caching and chocolate cake.[8)]
Our second of these structures for the day and a much easier hide once we stopped over thinking it.

Found during a day of caching in the mid-north in the company of GoodLook and feathertop, with the main aim of completing the O.T.D. February, O.T.D. April and O.T.D July series, and any other caches that got in the way! Most of the logbooks were stamped under the name of 'fabulous randoms' but I did get to write my name out on a few that GoodLook and feathertop had previously located. Thanks for the cache 3LG!
A darn sight easier than the one on the Auburn end of town
Thanks 3LG

A nice quick stop and sign today with buds.
Today feathertop and I cached with FeatherWaite and what a wonderful day we all had. We met feathertop in Balaklava and cached our way around the area focussing on several O.T.D. series.
Our combined team name today was "Fabulous Randoms" and that is how the 'millions' of log books have been stamped (bar a few with our actual caching names in them).
Thanks so much for the cache 3LG!

Today we travelled to Port Wakefield using Geocaching as a guide and picking up a few caches on the way with Roostaman and this was one of them. An easy find at GZ.
Thanks for placing and maintaining this series for our enjoyment.

Day 2 of our lovely adventure with Oohyeh, over 300 today, luckily the weather gods stayed good to us. Now time for a rest, and some food, maybe a bundy or 2 . tftc sl tnln.
Day 2 of attacking the power trails with Mr Jackylegs. We managed the OTD april series, the letterbox series, the PSA series and made a good start on the gone fishing caches. Most caches were found quickly with the exception of the gone fishing caches where it appears rodents have been eating them or they just weren't there. We replaced and repaired caches as we went along but a lot of the hints are in correct. Thanks to all the CO,S for placing the caches.
On the way back from the YP and decided to drive back this way.
