This is a strange place...the deer clearly have a good time here and glad none of us fell in. Mence found this one. Tftc!
That felt so easy after our navigational mishap on the quarry cacheit’s all about the approach.
A warm morning for a hike in the hills of Warramate, searching for BonnyBlack's WW series.
This one took longer than necessary due to walking straight past the container.
My excuse is that I was looking down, watching where I put my feet.
A little circling with a jumpy GPS not helping before I had the D'oh! moment.

Thanks for the cache BonnyBlack, I found this in by sheer accident. I was wallowing in some mud and urine ( I get it all over my ears then spread it around the house, it makes Carol WILD!!), I looked up and there the Cache was, hanging in a tree. Regards from Victourer
Out on the electric bike today checking out Warramate Reserve. No deer around today but plenty of recent footmarks. Not keen on meeting one out here in the bush!
Find number 8538 at 4:08:05 pm
Finally got a chance to escape for a couple of hours and went for a walk with MuggleWifeDoes, a cache or three in our targets.
A bit of a bush bash to get to this one after spotting it through the scrub.
Cache logged with sanitised hands.

After tracking all over this park and finding a number of caches I’d already found, Ilikaperi and I were walking past this one. One she had already found. The favour was returned and I was allowed to make my way in and find this also.
No wallowing deers today. Out for a family walk, enjoying being more than 5 kays from home on grand final eve. Quet, beautiful spot.
A nice place for a geocaching and a very good day. This is a great spot to hang around in the shade
Walking over to this one was a bit slippery and muddy, some big puddles and slippery clay. Spotted the cache in no time.
Sixth and final cache that we discovered this morning as we tried to give Mum and brother an Easter sleep-in.
There was a little water and mud, and fresh. Prints indicating the animals have enjoyed a recent wallow. We trip-toed past this and made the quick discovery. Thanks heaps BonnyBlack for a great morning out.

Spent a while looking for this one before resorting to the hint. And lo and behold I immediately spotted it right in front of me. All the mud seems to have dried up in this midsummer heat
I certainly knew what that meant and had a go at it whilst out and about here today. Very slippery and slimy and my safely boots were not the best in this terrain. Thanks for the cache.

Out on an adventure today with Papi4506, Geoturtle37 & Mark&Kelly.
I didn’t know what a wallow was until now. Thanks for bringing us here today.
Cheers BonnyBlack

Found it! Our third traditional find of the day with OzHockeyChick, Geoturtle38 and Papi4506. The local feral wildlife have certainly been making the most of this hole although we don't think they will be back until the icy weather is over, who knows, with the cull in progress maybe there numbers will be dropped back enough to let this bit of earth finally heal..TFTC...
Today the plan was to hit some mountains caching, however the weather and way to much traffic quickly changed my plans. Looking for another hill area to explore, this area appeared in my pre-saved offline cache list.
Quick find at 11.20 to make todays running total 6 finds.
I am assuming "Wallows" must mean swamp? Very wet in this environment, which was a bit of a surprise since it is not the lowest point in the area.
Thanks for the cache Bonny Black

MontsII and myself finished some work around the yard this morning and decided it was time to go for a walk. I suggested we head here to collect some puzzles I had solved, and some of the trads. He obliged, and off we headed. Hmm, he said “I’ve been here before”. He had been, to collect another puzzle. I was hoping he wouldn’t notice I was making him come to the same place twice. We started the multi but got side tracked on other caches, we will get it when we come back to finish the area off. Thank you for a great puzzle series and for bringing us to this nice area BonnyBlack
Found @10:13 #6662
This reserve has been on my list for years. Many a time glancing over the map this area was mostly void of caches, but now an epic puzzle series and trads where in play. A great series with a mixture of terrian both on and off track. With all puzzles solved sometime back between myself and ahomburg it was just a matter of when. Well finally today it was. A total of 6 hours was spent meandering around the park and upto the trig point and back. All caches found, some with very effective camo that made the discovery take longer then expected. Big thanks to the CO for showing me around this impressive flora and fauna reseve with ahomburg today. Total of about 16km and over 25,000 steps according to fitbit. Good stuff. [^]
A much quick find compare to the other close by. A muddy spot.

After having finally having made my way through the WW puzzles with confirmed coordinates for all, finally my caching partner in crime sedgwickDave and I finally had a free day to hit the hills of Warramate and more. We had a big day with over 15km of walking and over 600m of vertical ascent, we certainly worked hard for our terrain stars. The weather was mainly pretty good, overcast with the sun occasionally showing itself and also a couple of very quick showers. It was a great day.
No deer seen here today, but I did get 3cm of mud applied to the bottom of my shoes!! Doh!
Many thanks to BonnyBlack for the cache. TNLN.

Easy find on the way back down the hill. Not much mud and no deer today. Hopefully they are staying safe from those who like to shoot them. Thanks for the cache.
Back into the long grass on approach to GZ we find the cache quickly with probably the best co-ords for the day. Quite a few hoof prints in the mud bog hole nearby too. The deer must like beer too cos we found a few empties nearby.
Thanks BonnyBlack
Thanks BonnyBlack
Deviating off the track we approached GZ and as I went further into the trees abl973 followed his GPS right to it. A nicely hidden container hanging here.
This was found with abl973 while exploring this great park that we hadn't visited before. Thanks to BonnyBlack for the cache.

I think this is the only one of these caches that immediately leapt out to me on approach. A nice sturdy little container 'twas, keeping the contents in excellent condition. With that, around 5pm, I had seemingly found every current cache in Warramate Hills Nature Conservation Reserve. (Though I guess some long-distance multi could terminate in there somewhere--that's what I usually find to be the case after making statements like that. Bwahaha.)
Thanks for luring me into this great area several times over, BonnyBlack!

I met a hippopotamus on the way.
And
He said:
"Mud, mud, glorious mud
Nothing quite like it for cooling the blood
So follow me, follow, down to the hollow
And there let me
Wallow
In glorious mud"

2/4/17 4:10 pm #2346 Today while doing some training and skme fitness for my hockey season that is about to begin myself and my lovely GF RoxyP decided to come back to this awesome area and do some more of the local caches....
After completing so many awesome caches of this series we began the round trip back towards the car.
This cache was a beauty and in yet another great area of this region.
Thanks for the adventure!

We found this cache today at 2:20pm as number 8 of 13 on our Warramate Wander. We found a more direct route from the last cache to here. Muddy as stated but not right next to the cache. Thanks from D and H B-A.
Today I had a plan. A carefully crafted plan. A plan that had be forged by a week of solving puzzles for caches in the area, by grossly underestimating the terrain, and by grossly overestimating my fitness level. Anyway I had a plan.
I decided to throw in this traditional whilst on the hunt of The Track puzzle series.
A quick find. TNLN. TFTC.

Out today with the goal of finding a few caches on the awards nominations list and others near by. We thought we would do this series given one of the caches is up for best location.
Thanks BonnyBlack for the series

Hi Bonnyblack, thanks for bringing me here once again. Trailstevo and I headed out late tonight with half a plan. Initially stumbled at the bridge works blocking our access, so went the really long way round and parked the car. Set off from the car at 9.15pm, first wombat took 100m to spot, then the first cache, second cache with some creative night time path making, then across the boggy grass, over the hill to the damn. Spotted a few Roos, another wombat, and what we thought could be a dragon, nope.... Turned out to be a deer. Saw 3 deer in total. Picked up the last of the cache and back into car after 2 hrs. Bit fresh and windy out tonight, but as I tell my friends (who think I'm made going out at night), you don't see much wildlife in you front room! TFTC
Fun trek in the dark to pick up the WW series. Cross country through puddles. Tftc
FTF I found 5 caches in this series yesterday, and when I was back home doing my logs this one and 2 others popped up on my screen. It;s all about the timing really, isn't it. [:-)] So after attending the
WWFM XIII event at 3 am in Thornbury, I dropped Geoturtle37 off at home, changed into my dirty gear from yesterday and headed off into the mist at 5 am chasing caches in the bush. I had only gone about 100 metres down the track when I heard another vehicle pull up. I turned off the torch and waited but they didn't seem to be coming my way, so i picked up the pace and headed off into the darkness for my first target some 104 km ahead. It is lovely and peaceful strolling along a bush track at night, with nothing but the rushing creek to keep me company. In due course I arrived at gz and checked out the wallows before tracking down the cache. Even in the dark it was a quick and easy find and my phone was spot on target, surprising given the thick mist all around and the tree cover. A shiny new logbook to start the day, life is good. Tuck every thing back in place and it's time to check out cache number 2. Thanks for bringing me here and thanks for the cache.

Knowing that the trail was hot, Ruverbug Jam a I fully expected to find signs of activity here.
Sure enough, we had been beaten to first prize but not by much it seems.
After signing 2TF and replacing, we picked up the pace a bit and headed for our next target.
Thanks for placing these caches BonnyBlack.
We look forward to catching up with you next Saturday at our Get Outdoors Day Events.

On another caching adventure with n0w0rries after WWFM XIII.
This was our second target of the morning. We knew there was another cacher ahead of us by their boot prints in the mud, but we yet didn't know who. The log revealed it was Pappillon4506 and he'd made it there just before us. Where would we catch up with him?
Thank you for the cache.

This proved rather tricky. Partly GPS related, and partly my undeniable blindness when it comes to placements of this nature. So I spent a good 15 minutes wandering around before an approach at a certain angle had the cache right in front of me. I would have hated to DNF this one so deep in the park. Signed log and moved on to the last in the series (or at least the last of what is available right now). I was really hoping to see deer today but with the recent cull, plus being out in the middle of the day, it wasn't to be. Thanks again BonnyBlack.
