The eagle trail is so badly overgrown that you literally have to bush bash through parts of it. I wish Id just gone directly through the river since I picked up a heap of ticks. Here ended the caching as I headed home to remove those I could find. Im way too old to be retrieving the cache. It took three attempts before I could knock it free while not knocking myself free. The previous finders did a stellar job of concealing the cache behind a heavy rock about the size of a head. Despite my attempts, I couldnt rehide it as well so I hope someone else visits soon and does a better job. Ive left the stake in case someone wants to use my method to retrieve it. Thanks for the hide.
Found by Team Bennett!Thank you for the cache, such a beautiful area for an early Spring walk. We've taken the trackable, will put out on our next Geocaching adventure
Awesome cache thank you. A great unexpected adventure. Definitely got wet crossing the creek but was worth it.
Such an adventure, straight down off the trail, across the creek and there it was. Its quite a steep walk down and a good reach to get the cache in my hands. TFTF.
A great adventure, a paddle across the river to get there and a tricky reach around. TFTF. Great hiding spot.
We came from the eagle trail, had to bush bash and find remnants of past trails, after a big search we had to get a different perspective to find it. Our first difficult find! TFTC!!
We were looking forward to spending a day walking in this national park while we are visiting Western Australia. We walked a lot of trails today, and then after finding this one gradually turned around to make our way back to the car. Thanks ssengcl for taking us to this absolutely beautiful granite area. Domsky
Well this one made me very happy. I love a good climb (aka reliving my youth). Plus it filled another DT square. The prop rolled away on me so Mr Duck climbed down and passed it back up again so we could secure the cache back in its home - thanks goodness he's tall! Have a FP for this one! Tftc
Jeez I underestimated this one!!Had about an hour of sunlight up my sleeve when I left the car park, I thought this would be a breeze as it was only about 200m from the nearby cache. It was not a breeze, fair hike in my work clothes, lucky I had my boots on. I had to use the help of the hint for a find.Definitely a favourite for me.Tftc.
All good here..followed the dry stream for about 200m and then a bit of scrambling and all good..saw one rider on the trail and that was it..all new cache so log and cache in excellent condition..a fav for the story behind..tftc
Im pretty sure this ones missingWishing i had of looked at the activity log before trekking downhill
Trekked through a very unused track to this one, searched around before we realised it's probably not here as its been over a year since it's last find and the last 2 people DNF, this needs maintenance
Out for the afternoon in the Midland area. Made a few finds, generally all quick finds. Thanks for the hide
FTF on the new cache
Congrats on the proposal and wedding back in 2017
TFTC, great hiding spot, yet pretty sketchy

Hi all, I have replaced Beyoncé’s booty as of 10/05/20. Please be careful on slippery rocks on wet days.
Look forward to seeing your messages next time we return.
Unsure of what happened to the first one, apologies if anyone was unable to find it whilst it was missing.
Happy Geochaching

Hi all, I was recently contacted to say the geocache appears to no longer be there, I will try to get out there to replace or confirm.
Being in the aria to do some touristy stuff with our oversees visitors we although used the opportunity to find some caches.
quick find when being on the right level .
Tanks for the cache ssengcl

Wow... Spent a bit of time looking in the wrong place until we moved slightly west an( the hint made sense. Sent Deefa71 to retrieve this one. Fave point. TFTC
Not for the feint of heart on a wet day. Awesome cache, loved the notes inside.
This has been one of our closest-to-home now for a couple of years .. thanks to a DNF on our first visit . I had a little spare time today, so thought i might make the journey again through this beautiful area for another look.
Parking at the Tavern, i made my way along some of the less used tracks towards GZ, and i was pretty soon close enough to smell victory [;P]
A quick look at the hint had me scratching my head, but then i saw it . That’s gotta be it!
I made my way up the rock and was soon enough rewarded with the prize. I sat nearby to sign the log, and was pleasantly surprised by the first couple of pages in the book [^]. What an awesome way to propose to your loved one!!
I read the logbook through, and was surprised that more muggles had found the cache than actual geocachers . Lucky they’re an honest bunch who walk through here.
Wishing you guys all the best in whatever lies ahead ... hopefully you are still caching!

Easy to spot, but harder to retrieve! Good hint and a great hiding spot Found a hot day while walking in John Forrest National Park. This was the first find of the morning. Thanks for the cache
Found 2 weeks ago in the torrential downpour but forgot to log. Was a bit precarious on the climb but I got there
We take this walk occasionally and last time we were here, we had no luck finding the cache and came back today for a revisit. After considering the clue and excluding where we'd looked last time, we quickly came up with the goods.
Very um... random assortment of items in the cache, so we signed the log, but we took nothing and left nothing. Thanks for the cache.

After a DNF on this one 2 years ago, I came out again today for a winters day walk out to see the National Park falls as I had never seen the falls before. They were running very well with all the recent rain so after a few photos we crossed over the little bridge to the northern side of Jane Brook, then we walked along the Eagle View walk trail towards the cache. It was a great walk to the cache and we eventually found it after looking around in the wrong spots for a while. I eventually found it 9 metres further west at 857/818. I see what you mean by the 'mouth' now. Very nice. The cache was an easy find once I was on the correct side of the feature. A bit precarious reaching for it though from the western side. Signed log and replaced as found, then we carried on along the walk trail which was great for a while, but then it turned right and went up a very steep hill to the Eagle View lookout. That wasn't much fun in the washed out areas as it was very steep and it was quite dark by the time we got back to Pechey road. We came out at Taaffe road 2kms north of the car. Quite a slog for an afternoons walk. Just over 8 kms. We were absolutely exhausted when we finally got back to the car. Thank you for the cache though, it was quite an adventure.
Out with B12 & C10 on a sunny winter's day, collecting 51 smiles & 4 frowns.
Thank you ssengcl

Out for a day of caching around Darlington, Mundaring and the surrounding areas to cleanup the huge number of caches around these parts that have evaded us for a while.
A lot of bush caching today with some nice finds through John Forrest National Park, which I’ve always wanted to explore, but never got around to. The highlight of the walk apart from some great caches, informative signs along the trail, beautiful bridges, nice trails and great scenery was a walk through the Swan View Tunnel, which was absolutely awesome.
The other major walk of the day was around the Boya Quarry which is simply amazing for people that have never visited (I know many attended dark energy’s event out this way when his earth caches were still active in the quarry) beautiful views in particular from the top of the quarry and looking up the beautiful cliffs throughout the area.
We collected a bunch of other caches around the dam in JFNP, central Mundaring, and the Boya areas.
An amazing day out that finishes finding two old archived caches that have seen better days but would have been amazing to have seen in their heyday.
Thanks to all of the local COs for a great days caching, we had lots of fun. Thanks

Had a feeling where it was but arms not long enough from side I approached. Someone else in my trekking party had the same idea and did a bit of a rock scramble from other side to grab the cache. A fun hide and some interesting rock formations. TFTC.

Nice way to start a Friday with a walk in the hills. A balmy 7 degrees and clear skies.
Quick find at the correct coords
858 as .824.
Cache listing really needs correcting. TFTC

After searching GZ to no avail I started looking through previous logs and saw the owners log with the new coordinates which are different to the posted ones. With these entered a likely search area was found and the cache was soon in hand. TFTC.
We were out for a short afternoon bike ride on Christmas Day, and I got the chance to stop here and find this one. There was no water over the falls at all today.
I had read the previous logs and looked at the picture from the CO, so I was aware of the new coordinates. After a bit of a scrounge around I found the cache. Maybe I approached it from the wrong side, but I found the terrain to be a lot more difficult than indicated. My bike shoes with cleats on the bottom didn't help either.
The new coordinates have not been reflected in the main listing yet, so that's why people are still looking at the original location.
ssengcl: To update the coordinates in the official listing you need to post a new log where the type is "Update Coordinates", not "Owner Maintenance". Then the new coordinates will be shown at the top of the page, and will be in everyone's GPS's. Currently you can only see the new coordinates in your Owner Maintenance log.
Thanks for the cache ssengcl!

Lucky to have read a previous log noting that coords were not as those listed as I doubt I would have found the cache otherwise. Would not recommend for kids. TFTC ssengcl.
Had an enjoyable 2km walk to this one from Pechey Road, but that was about where the enjoyment ran out Searched High & Low amongst long grass & scratchy bushes whilst trying not to fall in the creek to no avail, couldn't understand the terrain rating whatsoever & now arrive home to find I was searching in the wrong area... To say I am absolutely shattered would be an understatetement
Co-ordinates need to be updated for this cache... Your log from the 21/6/2016 does not show these co-ordinates on a GPS & I had no phone reception to help me out either. Thanks ssenngcl.

Great hiding spot - very clever. My son and I had a brilliant time chasing it down. Best of luck with your future plans.
Went back today to have another scout around, still after an hour came up empty handed. The GPS sent me back to the same place we were searching the other day. The coordinates or cache need to be checked by CO I think so will message them.
After a nice walk and going through the nearby tunnel, I looked around for this one for about an hour but a dnf for me as well. Ground zero seems to be at a paperback or big rock on the edge of the creek but I couldn't find anything here or nearby. The hint is vague, but there is a stream about 40m east, is that what you refer to as "the river"? I looked all around here too but a lot of water has been raging through here recently with all the rain. This one needs a photo or a better hint as it shouldn't be that hard to find. I'm guessing the co-ordinates are off but there's lots of places to hide a cache around here. I found a few good spots but they were empty. Thanks for the nice walk as I haven't been here for about 10 years.
After 3 hours of searching in the area "within 5m accuracy" sadly we did not find this cache, the GPS coordinates were all over the place leading us everywhere but to the cache, tried to use the hint but still didn't help us, we located a massive rock though that looked like it had a natural smiley face
