There are certainly some neat roads.
Looked for it 3 years ago and did not find it then we came back and we found it. Thanks
Great directions and quick find. Log very wet, but love the cacheReally enjoying this series on a sunny blustery wellington day!
Watcache and I were here to attend the 'maker magic' event near by, but managed a bit of caching beforehand.
No problems making the find here, but the log book is pretty wet. We managed to sign it though.
Thanks for setting this up

Log a bit wet and very mouldy so could do with a touch of TLC, but otherwise in good condition. This was not the end of the road as I still had numbers to collect but I could smell the sea air and it was just about lunch time so a good spot to call time before I went down to the coast. TFTC
Found it with smitchell and cstorm. Easy find, but the log is in desperate need of replacing (it's very wet, took a photo to prove I found it)
Next stop on my wander through Island Bay on the way down to the marine reserve. This was a quick find since I spotted it while I was walking up. It does blend in well though if you didn't know to look for it Missing its lid and therefore quite damp inside, but still signable.
Thanks for another one!

Sunday afternoon caching mission with GeoHubby. A quick find in between cars and cyclists. Cache has no bottom on it. Baggy is leaking and the cache is drenched. Managed to get our names on it. TFTC
Day 2 of soggy impromptu cache hunting with LL113, slightly less soggy, somewhat more humid
Nice quick find. Log book is in good condition. Enjoying checking out the Island Bay streets. TFTC
Arrived at Owhiro Bay this afternoon to stay the night at the freedom camping spot. Opened the local Lab cache and realised it was sequential and we were at the end. Oh well, better get on my bike and head to the start. On the way decided to pick up a few traditionals as well. Quick detour here. Did remember this time to record the number on the lid. Cache all fine. Thanks for the smiley.
Well, truth be told I headed out this way for a multi, which was a bust, so to make do, I thought at least one trad might make up for the journey. Actually a nice quick find here, TFTC
Be aware when coming from below in a car there is a slip on the road and is a bit rough to drive over.

Could seem to find it, there were muggles around their houses so maybe another time
Was a super muggy mother's day, so took the short one for a late afternoon walk outside in the fresh air. Quick find, fortunately it was not as muggly as it was muggy. Tftc!!
After figuring out how to get here because of a road closure blocking the most obvious route from where I was the next challenge was finding somewhere to park on a rather narrow road. I found a place about 50m downhill from the cache. After a short walk the location of the cache seemed obvious enough but it took me a short while to figure out what I was looking for and where it actually was. After rummaging around a bit I found something suspicious (and familiar). Now, how to sign it? Went for a short walk and resting things on a nearby fence to do that. Not my favourite type of location by any means but good to find another in this series. TFTC.
Flew back into Wellington just in time for dinner after walking the Heaphy Track. So it was not till night that I had time to get out for today's cache. And of my other calendar projects... yep, need a micro today. Well, that should not be too hard. Headed out and by the time I got here it was full night. I brought a decent torch but did not need it - a feel was good enough.
And this time (well, long ago, actually) I read the cache description and so made a note of the number in the lid. I must re-visit the other three or four of this series I have already found to collect their numbers.

As Demainiac and I approached GZ, we asked the question, 'cone we find this cache?' The answer to this of course was, 'of course we cone.' The human eye has of course over six million cones but it wasn't one of those... a little bit of irrelevant neuroscience there... so we decided to go and grab an ice-cream cone instead.... not! Anyway, the log book has been signed and the cache is nicely back in its spot all ready for the next geo-hunter. Thanks heaps for taking the time to set up this cache. I appreciate your efforts in doing so. TFTC!
TwigNZ suggested a caching roadtrip to Wellington with Mar1sa, which sounded like an excellent day out of the house! - a novel idea considering that I'm still Working from Home...
The downside of this plan is that the first cache was 2+hrs from home which meant a much earlier start than I am otherwise used to.
We had an excellent trip, and Wellington really turned on the sunshine for us - Twig's "solar panel" definitely got some exposure
I have a [Severn Valley Railway](https://coord.info/TB1YCJV) Geocoin in my collection, thanks for the pronunciation tips
Log was signed as Team MET (or just MET depending on log space) for Mar1sa, EtherLord and TwigNZ.

My day started at at 5.15am with a goal of caching down in wellington with Twignz and Etherlord Clan, the weather was amazing and we ended up with a few finds under our belt finished the day around 9pm and the shower and bed never felt so good as it did that night.
thanks for placing the caches and bringing us to the locations we visited. - sorry about the copy and paste logs

What a fantastic day to be out and about in the Capital (read Target-rich environment lol!) with a couple of great geo-friends. You just can't beat Wellington on a good day, and this certainly was one. Note to self: Time to start wearing caps again!
Part of our discussion on our journey down was centered around what our joint logging name would be for today, with the final choice being Team M.E.T (or sometimes just MET depending on log space) for Mar1sa, Etherlord and TwigNZ.
The River Road Series was actually the reason we chose to spend the day in and around Island Bay. By the time we headed off home we would have found all bar 1 of them as part of our 40+ haul for today. Once I had found somewhere near to park, we were taken straight to the hide location and there found the cache quickly thanks to the Hint. With the log quickly signed, the whole thing was replaced as found before heading off to the next location.

Found with Bounty Geo Hunters on 8th August but somehow missed logging it! Not sure how we missed this
Second time lucky! Found with @peadub while out biking. Very cool replacement container. Signed log and replaced where found. TFTC
Had time to come back and found it in 2 seconds. We don't know how we missed it last time.
Cool container! Found and extracted easily enough, but sudden activity in the street required that I loiter a few minutes before replacing. No number evident on container or logbook (although cache id clear enough) TFTC!
Found it with 13YO TFTC I noted this had just been replaced today. Cheers!
If we didnt find this one we would of had to wear the cone of shame..

Didn't find though had a good look - should have been obvious. Suspect cache has been muggled by Chorus as ground looked like it had been dug up. Great views of Owhiro Bay from this part of Severn St, though.
Looks like a lot of disturbance here as Fibre has been installed up this street. DNF
Quick find after sneaking a park on Dennis Way. TFTC. Bag of logbook was split so it was quite damp but the paper was waterproof so all good.
Another of these rivers done and dusted today after a bit of precarious parking. TFTC # 13,819
We are visiting from Toronto ON Canada to spend 25 days with our daughter who lives in Wellington NZ. We have planned a driving tour of both the north island and the south Island. Quick stop at GZ. Found at 2:18 PM. Thank you TharnTheHalkan for placing and maintaining this cache.
