didnt catch the cache this time round

We headed out in the car today to cache in the areas surrounding Swan Hill. It was an interesting journey as we traveled through varied farming country, some fruit, crops and scrubby areas. The caching was mixed with straightforward finds and a number of DNFs as we battled the GPSr on some, and others spot on. Many D/T ratings were spot on, but others definitely misleading.A successful if at times frustrating day nonetheless.Thank you for your efforts in creating and maintaining the cache Hercs&pinky.**SKI Pair****

It’s been a long time since I was last out here, before the fire that destroyed the previous club rooms. I must say the new rooms are impressive. Luckily I had shelter here as the rain was starting to fall. Soon had myself a find. TFTC

After reading past logs Geohubby soon had his hands on it. Took us a while. The club rooms look awesome here.

Hi there Hercs&pinky.

We found your cache **"Carn The Tigers"** today.

The plan today was to find a couple of caches that we had previously DNF'd, and then to follow a random route chosen by the (mostly) next closest cache as determined by our GPS. We had a profitable day and found 17 and DNF'd 0

Thanks for placing this cache here. Over the years, Geocaching has taken us on many adventures and to lots of wonderful destinations all over Australia. Without 'caching as our guide we would never have found so many interesting places on our nomadic wanderings. 'Caching has also introduced us to a diverse group of like-minded people, many of whom we now call friends.

**Coordinate Accuracy:** We found your cache where the GPS said we should be looking. Wink
**Cache Condition:** The container and log book are in good shape.
**Took:** Nothing
**Left:** Smiley Badge

Thank you Hercs&pinky for adding to our adventure.

Regards

Ian & Penny

Liked this one... mainly because it wasn't on a roadside....

Found during our COVID 2020 Murray River trip.

While Melbourne was in a state of turmoil rural Victoria was still okay, and with 4 weeks leave, and all the borders closed we decided the only warmish place in Vic was going to be as north as we could get. After a decade or so travelling north and west we started on the trips we'd left til later - the Murray River. Starting from East Gippsland we got to Wemen out of Robinvale before they announced Victoria was going back into Stage 3. Now we're working our way back home and avoiding Melbourne. Found this along the way. TFTC. DJ

Day eight of a camping road trip with Papi4506, Geoturtle37 & RoamingHowie.
Exploring all around the greater Swan Hill area today.
As the boys were sussing out harder locations, I managed to find the cache relatively easily.
Thanks for placing and maintaining this cache, Hercs&pinky

The geocaching holiday continues with OzHockeyChick, Papi4506 & GeoTurtle37. We finally made it to Swan Hill after an epic drive (100kms in 6hrs). Today is the first day exploring the hill.
A relatively quick find although we looked in harder places first - Carn the bombers!

Thanks Hercs&pinky for placing the hide!

This could have taken a log longer as there were a few places to hide a cache. Luckily OHC found the goods quite quickly. Thanks for the cache.

In contrast to yesterday, which was quite warm, this morning we battled a cold wind and some heavy rain squalls; weather improved after lunch. We found a good variety of hides and read some interesting cache notes, such as this.

Thanks 'Hercs&pinky' for adding this cache to the game board.

Suscoe and Phetlern headed out this afternoon after the rain had passed to find a few caches to the north west of Swan Hill.
It was a cloudy and cool afternoon.
Another fun outing with our good friends.
Nice to see some country side that we haven't travelled through before.

Thanks to Hercs&pinky for this hide, In another league, far to the south, we don't share the "Carn The Tigers" sentiment, it is "CARN THE CATS" for us this week.

The cache locations were varied & a variety of containers found.

This was a good detour into the agricultural lands to discover this field of dreams amongst the vines Big Grin
And in a sheltered spot,
well away from prying muggle eyes,
I soon tracked down this little cache Smile

Thank you!

Found after a short search. Builders are busy building the new clubrooms, but thankfully for me, the cache wasn't too close to them and they paid me no attention. SL. TFTC!

In Swan Hill for an event with Mrs. Aussie M&M and mogni. To save space, we simply put our group stamp of GOTHS (Geocachers Of The HillS) in the logs. Cool
After a bit of a patchy morning in the town with a few DNFs we decided we might head out of town. [:0)] A change of perspective and a bit of fresh air to change our luck.
We had a quick look but we really needed to be back in town for the event. Only the obvious checked without success. Sad
Thanks Hercs&pinky for the search Big Grin

*We cannot believe that this cache had not been found before we found it and got a FTF, it was published a few days ago. Anyway, no football so no muggles. Looked everywhere, but still couldn't find it...surely its not there, if there was football on it would be impossible to find. But hey it is there, and a virgin log-book inside. SL. TFTC. Thanks H & P for brining us to this ground, haven't been to this area for many many years, not even to see the club-rooms burnt. Cheers.CoolBig GrinSmile*
