Found this awesome little cache at this beautiful church. Amazing that quinnies bush has taken ownership of the church. Thanks for the beautiful cache and bringing us her found with aalis_01
While driving home for Westport Elliot decided he needed to stop and do a cache somewhere and stumbling upon this one was the best. Quick find here and off we set for home. Found with Elliot13. TFTC
Reefton to Nelson today - though a longish journey we grabbed a few caches on the way.Over in the UK we have a massive series all about churches and so we had to stop off at this one and 'add it to the collection' Quick find, all goodTFTCTim and Viv - ddm
After traveling around Australia with Oopie for 7 weeks, we have now been traveling with the camper in New Zealand for 4 weeks. Along the way we will of course also visit various types of caches in beautiful places, including this one. Thanks CO for creating and laying this cache.
Together with Travelser I'm going Down Under. We are driving around with a motorhome. After 7 weeks driving around through Australia we arrived the 2th November in New Zealand. For ten days we will cross the Northern Island and than for 2 weeks the Southern Island.During our trip we of course search for several caches. Most of them brought us to very nice spots, like this one.All the CO's, and in this case BigglesNZ, thanks for bringing us here and give our trip a special accent.
I love how the old church parishioners have added la he boulders to support the church. Glad we stopped here on our journey back from St Arnaud and the weather was much kinder!!! Found with Piwaka54.
Day 8 on our holiday in New Zealand. Today our tour is going from Punakaiki to Nelson. We also visited this tradi, found it, and signed the logbook.

Another westward buzz on Bumblebee, attempting to gather up some more for a challenge cache. This was the fourth. Easy find and made sure the container was closed properly unlike last time.
Been meaning to stop for this one for ages. Finally did it today. Nice to revisit for another cache. TFTC
A second cache we have found here - looks a lot different without all the trees!! - log signed - thanks for the cache
Lovely wee church. We found the previous cache here several years ago, but happy to return for another smile.
I went to one side of the church, and SW the other. He chose correctly and found the cache by the time I got to GZ. Last cache find of the day. TFTC.

What a lovely old church. Fascinated that they used boulders for piles. Loved the bell tower as well. The cache was in plain sight so we tucked it away a little better. Nice and dry. Thanks for getting us to stop here and thanks for the cache.
Out for a morning drive grabbing a few caches. Nice old building and a quick cache find. Thanks for the cache.
Day 16 of three weeks winter motorhoming in the upper half of the South Island. Travelled from Murchison to Motueka today. We had intended doing so yesterday but the route was cut off due to the recent heavy rain and subsequent flooding. We got through okay despite a slip being cleared in one place and seeing plenty of evidence of recent flooding, plus very high rivers still. This one was a quick find thanks to the hint. Quaint church building, worth a photo! #4179. TFTC.
I needed six finds today to bring my total finds for the 30th Jan up to 26 and thus change the colour of My Finds Calendar to a deeper shade of green. So I decided to ride the new section of the Great Taste Cycle Trail from Tapawera to the Spooners Tunnel as a number of new caches had been recently placed. Though this cache is not on the Great Taste Trail it was close enough to warrant a brief diversion (1.5km) from it. Arrived to be appaled at the hygenic standards of someone - faeces and toilet paper left on the church steps! [xx(] Thanks for the placement BigglesNZ.
*Thanks for putting out this cache for woolwood9 and I to find!*
SL **tm/ww NZ** (may just be a black smudge on the many wet or plastic logs)
Weather a bit better today with only a few showers of rain
*Soon had this cache located!*
Good old church, strange way it is sitting on rocks!

Quick find here, once I read the hint and looked around the corner. Exactly where it should be. Looks like the foundations are getting a revamp, cache is fine. TFTC Biggles.
Today is the last day of a long weekend for RG1972 and I, most of which was spent in the B.O.P.
But today is travelling home day for me, so after our morning run RG went to work while I hit the road for a bit of casual caching. I decided to go a different route than normal, heading toward Kohatu before making my way to Tophouse then home. I gave myself the goal of caching until 2pm, then driving straight home regardless of where I was. In reality I ran out of viable options before then, but there are plenty more to get with slight detours next time I do this route. 29 found, hence this cut and paste bit. Thanks all COs.

Had a quick trip into the Nelson/Marlborough region for a few days with a wee bit of time for some caching, But I will have tocome back so many to find, many thanks to all the cache placers - Bitsprayer
There has been a huge amount of work done to the foundations but the cache was still safe and in place. TFTC
Drive past here on way to and from ChCH. Today was the day to find this one. TFTC
I cache by the rule that there is always a cache hidden near an old country church / graveyard. I have for years driven at pace past this church but not today. Another glorious example of 19th century craftsmanship that has been looked after. There's a few distant relatives resting just over there and the cache was found right where the hint said it would be. Thanks BigglesNZ, your cache is in good condition.
Had a nice weekend at Quinneys Bush with our grandaughter, so grabbed this one, this morning and was surprised that there were not too many Quinneys here. TFTC
A quick grab on the way norht, great to see that ti's being looked after by the folks across the road. Cheers
A pleasant spot to take a break from driving and stretch my legs for a few minutes. TFTC
Friday mid-day we arrived at Quinneys Camp for 2 nights. I was hoping to get some more caches around here, but not too many are walking (or running) distance from the campsite. Still I managed to find some, this was the first for Saturday (and my 900th in total).
Easy to spot, have signed, replaced and put a larger rock on top to make it less visible. With the good hint it should still be an easy find, but less likely to be muggled.

Found it! Actually found by my geo hubby, who got to GZ first. Pretty little church. Tftc.
More history and peoples lives chronicled here. Thanks for bringing us here BiggkeNZ
Heading toward Nelson and gathering a few caches..thanks for the nice clean cache Biggles
Meanwhile this is my third geocaching-trip to Middle-Earth . And I love it! [:X]
Still there are routes and places in this beautiful country that are on the 'discover-me' list and want to be visited and explored. .
Today (#26) with again splendid, sunny weather took me on the last long road trip during this vacation:
From Nelson down south-east via Lewis Pass to Christchurch.
Allthough travel time was a limiting factor for caching , there were of course quite some nice treasures [^] along the scenic route [^] that deserved a short stop for a visit - just like this one:
Nicely hidden at a geougeous little chapel .
Thanks to the owner [:X] for placing and maintaining this cache and best regards from Germany!

After a good trip up the valley yesterday we headed along to Lake Rotoiti and cleared it (again) of caches (except Parachute) and the call of the bellbird cache part way up the Pinchgut. With that achieved we headed off for some fishing in the Buller river (no bullertrout were sighted) and then some more fishing in Lake Argyle as well as a pointless casting session on a narrow, and shallow, stretch of the Wairau. End result; Cache = 2, Fishes = Nil. Hmmmm.
Today was a set aside day where i mulled over doing some gardening, or some fishing, or some caching. A little of both was what was settled upon. Cleared a few park n grab caches which are never popular with most passengers and the morning weather was much more reasonable than the huge temperatures later in the day.

During our holiday in New Zealand we have visited both the North and the South Island. We saw a lot of highlights of this beautiful country, but there is so much more to see. So many highlights, so many caches! The geocaches showed us a lot of special and interesting places. Sometimes a quick find, sometimes we had to search longer. A few DNF's, but that doesn't matter. We loved New Zealand and we hope to come back some day!
Today we have found the cache "St. George's Motupiko (Tasman)".
BigglesNZ, thanks for creating and maintaining this cache!

Dad and I are on a road trip to Nelson to see his aunt Shirley in Nelson. We are traveling up the east coast there and down the west coast back. After staying the another night in Nelson it was time to head back to Christchurch. We stopped here for morning tea.
Sadly there is no large event in New Zealand in 2019 but there are a few Mega events planned in Australia. I plan on going to the OzGeomuster in July. To find out more visit this site: https://www.ozgeomuster.com.au
If you can't make Aussie. New Zealand will have another large event in 2020 in Auckland. I will keep you posted in my logs.

Nobody likes a blue face on their map and this one was standing out amongst a sea of yellow. As we had been up the lake today and this way home was just as fast as the main route, we of course took this one. A nice quick find today and no injuries to report. Thanks for replacing cache so promptly. tftc
Stopped by today and replaced the missing cache. Made the hint a bit more explicit so searchers should be able to avoid any broken glass about the place.
Sounds like it might have gone walkabout. I'll be checking this in the next couple of weeks.
Unfortunately for us today we couldn't make a find here. Found a lot of broken glass though, so future hunters beware.
I recall the archived cache here from a few years back and also the bees’ nest nearby at the time.
I was uncertain as to whether a Sunday morning would be a good time to visit but as it turned out, all was quiet here today.
No problems with the find at this cute wee church.
Thanks

Found with NZDi. Our extended whanau are spending a few days camping at the nearby Quinney's Bush and this evening NZDi and I took a walk just down the road to this historic church. We DNF'd the previous cache that was here a couple of years ago and I see the structure where it was supposed to be is no longer here. After finding the cache we took a walk through the church graveyard to get a feel for the people and history of the area.

We grabbed this one with our grand daughters and son and his wife after spending a wonderful part day at Quiney's Bush playing on all the playground equipment!!! They wanted to show us where they like to go camping! On the way back to Spooners Tunnel, we stopped at this little church to find this geocache! What a beautiful little church. Would have loved to be able to go inside and see the church! We did wander around the little cemetery there, and enjoyed reading all the names! So many young children buried there in the days of old! Cache was an easy quick find, and all is good with it. Dropped a TB

Another drive through the Lewis Pass between Takaka and Christchurch, this time heading back south after a short trip home to spend time with family. The plan for today was to knock over a whole lot of caches in the northern end of the drive. I was also pleased to be able to get a smiley for a few caches that have left me stumped previously. Started off a sunny day, looked to be great for driving, but the rain started somewhere north of Springs Junction and didn't end up stopping. TFTC (3271)
A lovely old building. We stopped by today and found the cache, then admired the white, blue - - - and mauve! woodland hyacinths. I paid my respects to my aunt and uncle who used to live closer to Marawera but now reside here. - - - Then we were on our way.
Things didn't turn out quite as planned after that. We had thought we were having lunch at Kohatu but the cafe was closed! We discovered later that that was because of a scheduled electricity outage. Just as well we had one did not find and one did not drive past so we'll still need to come back this way. TFTC .

We found the cache and squeezed in a trackable. Then a wander around the cemetry - we enjoyed seeing one grave in particular and noticed a packet of biscuits left there. A change from a bottle of beer which we have seen often in the past.
Thanks.
Thanks.
This is the second cache we have found here, the first one at night so we were unaware there was a graveyard here.

Out this way to play another 9 holes with the Bum. Hard to beat the $10 green fees. Finished and still time for a couple of caches before the drive home. Not my first time here but still interesting to be back. The church is looking in great condition. A very unique grave stone caught my attention and had to be checked out before making the find.
