Time to archive this one. I'm surprised it has lasted this long considering it is at GL in a flood zone. Opening up the space for another cache, whether it will be mine or someone else depends on who is first off the blocks.
Couldn't find this one today.. I see the last log was before we had a lot of flooding last year so I don't know whether it could be gone or I juat didn't find it . Either way, TFTC and puzzle!
We're getting the idea of MyDJ puzzles, so solving this wasn't too bad. A few hint objects, and although our GPS didn't take us to the correct one, it was still a fairly quick find. TFTC
Cache check carried out after a recent DNF. Cache gone. Cache replaced. Good to go again.
Had a very thorough search at the coordinates and no sign of any cache. Maybe needs a look.
As another break from brain-draining Edocesrom II, I popped in today to get this long time solved puzzle. I remember it not being too difficult. In fact, finding the right one here was just as difficult. Log was a bit damp however. I must let the CO know as he likes to keep his hides all clean, dry and tidy.
Here we are in Blenheim again, finding a few caches as we fill in time.
There were two main objectives for today, the first being to find a few Kiwimykl caches as we move our total of Kiwimykl finds towards 100, and secondly to attend the GIFF event later in the evening.
The theme for this was quickly settled upon, only one of the subjects was a bit trickier than the others. Soon had some coordinates that were good to go.
We arrived at GZ to see a very pregnant lady standing there smoking, my heart sank for her unborn baby.
Anyway once she had finished polluting the place and her baby we went to search for the cache. We made it much harder than it needed to be. With so many options and with me not searching properly in the first place it was not until GK was revisiting a hint item that he found it - woops.
Thanks for a nice easy puzzle and the reason to come and revisit this lovely place.

We came over for the weekend to round up some mythical Hidden Creatures. With a successful trip down the Awatere Valley yesterday we had well and truly achieved our Hidden Creatures goal and made it passed the Dragon already. Today was a residential/town day which can take longer to navigate but we only needed 20 more to reach the World Turtle and we finished the day with almost double that. I spied this puzzle last month and surprised myself with how easily I solved it. The one that is most memorable to me is C, as my brother would always have this blaring in the car whenever I road in it with him (he only believed in one sound level) From looking on Google Earth it looked as if we would have to walk here so it was nice to turn this into a PnG before using the facilities. Thanks for your effort in placing this cache for everyone elses enjoyment.
A quick detour on my way to play in a local squash tourney... this is one of those dot days I seem to be challenged to filling in.
Very quiet here today - the only thing to annoy me was a magpie darting in and out of the trees.

I think I remember when this cache first came out. There was an event in town, and we couldn't make it to that due to a pesky pre-arranged trip to Rarotonga. Which was a bit of a shame as we had yet to meet most of the caching community and if there was not that clash we would have been there. But not long after getting back I got stuck into solving this. It looked like fun.
The theme presented itself quite quickly of course, but I seem to have been the only one who struggled with it. At time of writing there were 14 green ticks on the checker and 7 red ones. Each of those red ones, I think, is mine. I found a very likely answer for one of the letters that I simply couldn't replace for another. I think it was on my 4th trawl through the entire back catalogues that I finally got an alternative to that one that made equal sense, and from there it was all good. Still a little perplexed how no-one else struggled though......
And yesterday I was discussing with Jo a plan for some caching on the weekend when it occurred to me - I haven't got 'August' spelled out yet. This of course relates to a series of challenge caches to use the first letter of found caches in a month to spell out that month, something I had been working on casually for a year (even though the caches themselves are not local), and I needed a 'U' ticked off. Couldn't wait until the weekend (September), and a trip to Port Underwood didn't appeal so a quick dash here after work today. The place was deserted apart from one vehicle right where I needed to be (of course), but I bided my time, drove past a bit and when they left I made a reasonably quick grab in the gathering dusk. That is 11 of the 12 months pre- qualified for, now I need to go get them and work on some new goals.....TFTC KiwiMykl. FP also

I was with the CO (Hubby) when this was replaced, so signed the new log in the replacement cache at the time
Cache replaced with new container and 'Rite in Rain' log sheet in plastic ziplock bag
Looks like this one has been washed away in the recent floods. Will be up and running again as soon as I can sort out a replacement.
Nice puzzle. Liked the theme. I solved it a while ago but today was my first chance to get over the hills and go and find it. Not in the first place I checked but it didn't take too long to find today. TFTC, Biggles.
Mrs Sobad also saw the listing appear and then disappear - but had seen enough to know how the puzzle was meant to be solved. When the listing reappeared, it was an unusually quick solve - then the corrected coordinates sat in the system for an unusually long time.
Today she and her sister were over the hill to shop - after caching and a nice lunch of course. Mrs S wandered the area and then went back to the car to read the full listing. On her return to the area she could narrow the potential sites down and it was then an usually quick find given the GPS cover.
Thanks.

Solved this puzzle about a month ago, back home in Canada, and this afternoon eltee291 and I headed down and found the cache! A few camper vans about but we were out of site so all good! Really enjoyed solving this puzzle! Signed the log and replaced as found. Thanks for the great puzzle and the cache!
Quick find today with hingis20, who was the puzzle guru, as we roam the roads of Marlborough for caches. Visiting NZ from Victoria, BC, Canada. TFTC
One of the questions put me on the right path to solving the puzzle. Started with one of the more likely candidates at GZ and came up Trumps (am I allowed to say that these days). Cheers and TFTC
Add me to the list of those that saw this appear and then quickly disappear. Its obvious why now but piqued my attention at the time. Thought we were to be thwarted by a family very close by but luckily they were just packing everything up and drive off leaving us to start the search. I lost my GPS a few weeks ago so am making do with a combination of my broken original one and it must've been feeling a bit tired because it was being very lackadaisical here - going round and round in circles without honing in on anything. I put it down on a hint item while I went to crank up the phone and spied the cache sitting there. Funny. Looks as though I'm the first to find it after the event -cheers. TFTC #9144
I thought it was a bit unusual when I saw this appear and then just as quickly disappear. And then it reappeared. I didn't spot anything of interest on a quick initial look over the weekend, but when I had another look this evening several things suggested there was a thread worth following. My efforts were soon rewarded with a green tick . Bookmark Listed for later in the year. I’m a big fan of “H” one of my favs. Cheers.
I should have included the below comment in my log but over looked the subject matter.
Dragon and Roxette! Now you are talking KE's type of music! [^]

(FTF) Found as a joint FTF with the Crack Quack team at CappersNZ great event. Lots of hidey holes and lots of finders. Thanks heaps for the cache making this an extra special event. Pleased for you the embargo was removed. Catch up with you again sometime.
Cheers.
Cheers.
Found as part of a rather large FTF group at the International Geocaching Day event. Thanks to the CO for allowing this to happen!
Found with a rather big group of fellow cachers as part of the event for International Geocaching Day. Thanks for allowing such a big FTF!
This is the biggest joint FTF that I've ever been part of. Thanks to the CO for letting it happen.
Was attending the International Geocaching Day event and was privileged to be part of a huge FTF team. Many thanks to the CO for allowing that to happen. Very cool.
Found this with the other geocachers at the capperz hosted event. GH6710 provided the solution and capperz made the find while I provided a pen but not much else. Happy to take the bonus find and thankful to Kiwimykl for setting this up for us to group find. An added dimension of fun and worth a favourite.
Thanks MyDJ for the cache.

Found as part (or an observer of) of the FTF group at a nearby event. Thanks to the CO for making this available to the event group. A new experience for us. TFTC
Found with the rest of the crew in this Joint [FTF]. Someone made the find, someone else provided the pen, while I was carefully ruling out all the wrong places. Well, that's what happens when you're team caching. Great day for it though.
With an event just down, or up, the road from the puzzle start co-ordinates it was always on the cards that there might be a second find for me on International Geocaching Day as long as I could solve it. However after a brief glance as it was published, then redacted immediately afterwards allowed me to gather absolutely no clues to enable me to get the final co-ordinates. So, with a resigned air that I would only get one qualified find for the day I arrived at the event to await the others.
Luckily there was one shrewd individual who'd solved the puzzle and extracted the numbers and who benevolently agreed to share with others present. And so it was that numerous cachers, up to 15 in total, headed into the G Z area to search. I was lucky enough to make the find and K_E provided the tools to complete the job, a pen.

The best and most enjoyable joint FTF I was ever part of. The attendees of the "All together now....quack!" event made a combined effort. Plenty of cachers to check all the places where the cache wasn't so it didn't take long to make the find. Thank you Kiwimykl
It's certainly the biggest FTF group I've been part of so thank you Kiwimykl for placing this cache so close to the Event. I did my bit by checking where the cache wasn't.
