Angusnmumy was a help again on this one. I was able to turn that frown upside down. This is great to be up and running again.

It is a bonus to have most of Wagga protected from flooding with the leeve banks, there are some area which need some more work to protect some more areas. There are many great views here and and it is a short distance from the beach. Great spot to visit.

Thanks Farmers 5 for this cache Lil Donna

Another place I hadn't visited with some more local history. Thanks Farmers 5 for getting me out and about and helping Me catch the Hidden creatures Fairy. Wink

The Big Western Australia trip in 2018. Day 44. The last day of the journey and I drove home in the rain from Mildura to Canberra via Balranald, Narandera and Wagga.

Thanks for replacing this one. A nice simple find now. This was my last stop before heading home in the rain.

Thanks.

After the previous DNF, it was good to get a find here. I found a pen sitting above the plaque at GZ too. A lost geo-pen? It will continue its logging duty job. TFTC The Farmers 5.

Fitzy_1965 and I had a spare day to ourselves so headed to Wagga Wagga to pick up as many caches as time would allow. Thirteen hour round trip saw us with just over 40 each....not too bad when we didn't leave Goulburn until just before 9am.

No luck for us here today. Had a good 10 minute search but came up with nothing. CO might want to come and check.

Australia Day 2018 Long weekend Trip to Jindabyne for lake diving and on to Wagga to catch up with Riverina caches. Day 4. I spent the day caching around Wagga until the Riverina event and then headed home. I was not sure what was going on here and did not see anything, even suspicious. It must be lurking there somewhere.

Thanks.

The Drovers had very kindly offered to be Mrs Crackers chauffer so that she could pick up some caches whilst enjoying her visit with them. There was much discussion the night before about which caches we would target and we decided to make an effort to find the multi's and also the puzzles that we had solved and anything else that popped up in between.

Well all we can say is that we found the log book but not in what I'm sure was the original container. We were both able to add our names to the log but this cache does require a maintenance run as unfortunately we had nothing to replace the container with today.

We have emailed the owner with the yucky details

Thanks anyway for the cache.

10-Dec-17
Doing some local caches with Team Crackers, and this one was on our list.

Arrived at GZ, and searched for a while before locating 'something different'
and not very appropriate - can't imagine this being the original cache container.

Many thanks for placing this cache, The Farmers 5, but it may need checking.

one cache that had me thinking do I really need any it and then reaching for the hand sanitizer.

After a little walking in circles and looking at previous posts I was soon h adding in the right direction. Excellent cache. Could not sign log due to material it was made of, will send owner pics of proof of visit to location

Really did you have to put it in that?

After a really great day yesterday completing the RGGT trail and starting the Friends, I had my heart set on completing that one, but an over protective butcher bird at the final cache put paid to that goal.

I started the day in Wagga Wagga and travelled home via Marrar, Old Junee and Junee. At that stage I realised that arriving home today was going to be impossible unless I stopped caching. I had never travelled that road before and again I thank geocaching for taking me that way to see so many wonderful sights - the lambs sticking close to their mums; the calves frolicking in the sun; the canola crops were either lush green or already cut; the wheat at various stages of being ripe from still green to flaxen and the beautiful sight of people fishing while out enjoying the lovely spring weather.

Oh and the caches were great too. There were a variety of hides, containers and camouflages. However I must admit to one low spot and that was when I had to sack Monty, aka my GPSr, after he led me on a merry dance for about 15 minutes at a cache that everyone else had said was easy! I grabbed Sam(sung) from the car and he immediately showed me the right way to go. Go figure!

All caches found were in good condition and logs were signed, often as SG to save space and time.

Thank you to all COs for their part in making my life so enjoyable.

Individual caches will get extra notes if appropriate.

We were in Wagga for Fri/Sat to attend a 30th surprise party. So of course, we decided to squeeze in a few caches as well. - Found with SuzieQau.

Interesting little spot here. Parking was a bit dicey, so parked in non-parking spot, hoping for a quick find and get-a-way! Luckily it was. Favourite from me. Thanks TF5.

No good olde boys drinking whiskey and rye here !!
And while standing on the levee,
I was having a good olde head scratch as to where the cache was hiding !! [:o]

It took a few minutes,
but after a wander,
I found the memorial well hidden on the safe side of the levee Smile

Cache found a few minutes of eye-strain later Razz

Found by Aussie Train Driver 12/10/17, find number 1161.
I had a bit of time to spare in Wagga Wagga this afternoon so I went for a walk along the river and found a few caches. This one took me a few minutes to scout out between passing muggles but eventually I spotted the cache. Despite being in plain sight it blends in very well!
TFTC! Very Happy

Hi there The Farmers 5.

We cached around Wagga today - and found your cache **"Mitigation Scheme"** at 12:03:00 PM. (This brings our total find count to 17972).

We ended up finding a variety of container types and sizes on our journey & found 8 caches (& DNF'd 1).

A sneaky cache near another interesting plaque, in a place we never would have found without geocaching as our guide.

**Coordinate Accuracy:** We found the cache around 2m from where the GPS said we should be looking. Wink
**Cache Condition:** The container and log book are in good shape.
**Took:** Nothing.
**Left:** Nothing.

Thanks for the hunt today,

Regards

Ian & Penny.

Tagging along with the "Rats" on holidays has it's advantages, not only do we get to see our cool country but we also get to do a heap of caching as Dad just can't help himself and has to stop at every cache he can.

Heading across Australia on nearly every dirt road possible we stopped and found your cache as part of our adventure and for that, I thank you! Sorry about the log being a "cut n paste" but tthats just because we stopped at so many caches.

TFTC WinkSmile

The Rats and mini rats found this cache as part of our Purposeful Meander across Oz where we visited every mainland state in 8 weeks.

Apologises for the late log in some cases but we are only just catching up on our logging now that we have arrived back home. Your cache makes up many of the great memories we now have from the adventure. The faceplate style log doesn't detract from the experience we had finding the cache.

Thanks Smile

With a relatively free weekend at last a plan was hatched with Rapidlywild to go and collect some unfinished multi and solved puzzles along with some new caches in Wagga Wagga.

It was a rather eventful weekend with a close encounter of the brown slithery kind, not a very happy either as I think we woke it from its winter slumber, friendly cows, good and not so good weather and the opportunity for the inner monkey to show itself again on a few occasions.

This one was next while in the area. Quick find at GZ.

TFTC The Farmers 5 and thanks for a fun weekend Rapidlywild.

FurfacesLL and myself had decided on a trip away for some much earned stress relieving geocaching. We had planned on doing a day trip across to Wagga Wagga however once we had a look at how many caches we had left to find, changed our plans to an overnighter instead.

We had a large number of multi's to collect that we had picked up GZ information from on prior trips and we had some solved puzzles to collect that we had solved. A nice range of caches across the weekend, did alot of in field maintenance work for CO's by adding new clean/dry/crisp logs to containers in new zip lock bags just to help out.

A great weekend had by us both with a mix of caches, mix of weather and an extremely close brown snake encounter (too close for comfort).

Thanks heaps to FurfacesLL for another awesome weekend away, and thanks The Farmers 5 for the cache placement Cool[^]Big Grin

Out and about with our friends Suscoe, on a fine Friday for fun, with some frustrations and a few favourites as we endeavoured to replace some more of the green dots on our Wagga Wagga map with smiley face tokens.
It is interesting to read about the work done to protect areas from inundation by flooding.

Thanks The Farmers 5 for placing caches for everyone's enjoyment.

Suscoe was up and going this morning out on a day of cache hunting around the Wagga Wagga city area.
Another cold night but a beaut sunny day followed and we had a terrific day caching with our good friends: Phetlern.
We travelled around the city and found some really interesting locations and sights.
Thanks to The Farmers 5 for showing us this spot, the cache was soon located and the log signed.

Wandering around Wagga on foot in the rain and finding a few caches. Knew this cache could be tricky to see....it is till you find it and then it stands out like a beacon! Interesting to read about the scheme that helps Wagga from flooding. TFTC The Farmers 5.

Easily found when coming from the right direction. Got to listen to some great live music while we searched then signed the log. Don't think Aquilus1 liked my dancing in the car while we were logging our finds on our phones, but it was fun! Tftc!!!

I didn't realise this cache was only hidden this year! It seems like all the caches in Wagga are quite old and there are only a few caches placed this year when I do a search!

Very different from Canberra when we are getting multiple new caches weekly!

An interesting location, and with the hint it didn't take too long to spot the micro. These kind of caches can get on my nerves sometimes though because I'm not very good at spotting them and have no real method Razz
