TFTC Hercs&pinky your cache Willoughby Emu on Hungerford that we found today. We had camped at the Nyah Lions RV park late January as we made our way to Adelaides for the Great Leap Forward. Today we are on our way back home to Maryborough ,Qld via the Mega in Canberra. Camped up and went out to find a couple of caches. Being later in the day we only targeted the 5 closest to camp. All found although we made one or two harder than it should have been. This was one of the ones we targeted.Find Count: 19128

Lid was cracked but the contents now dry, have been wet. Bagged log is fine. We gave it a newer bag and replaced the whole box with cleaned contents. Mascot unfortunately had to go in the box too.Returned to same place but now with an obvious protective roof.So all good to go now hope EMU has a long easy job ahead of him.

A nice and quick find but as previous logs have stated the lid was found to be cracked. It would eventually lead to further issues. We undertook some maintenance see our logged note.Unfortunately with the change to a slightly smaller container the Mascot unfortunately had to go inside the box this time.New cache container and contents were returned to same place but now with a protective roof which will be very obvious to geocachers. So all good to go now hope EMU has a long easy job ahead of him.TFTC

We were in Swan Hill to assist with the fireworks for the show tonight and as we had off loaded everything at the storage facility we had a free day to do what we wanted before starting to set up so obviously caching it was.

It was quite an interesting cache page about the emus and few things we had no idea of so anytime you can get a cache find and learn something has to be a good thing .This one was nice and simple and we just followed the GPS to where it said we should be and the cache was discovered in the first place we looked and our name has now been added to the log.

Many thanks for the cache again Hercs&pinky for the cache,

Found during our COVID 2020 Murray River trip.

While Melbourne was in a state of turmoil rural Victoria was still okay, and with 4 weeks leave, and all the borders closed we decided the only warmish place in Vic was going to be as north as we could get. After a decade or so travelling north and west we started on the trips we'd left til later - the Murray River. Starting from East Gippsland we got to Wemen out of Robinvale before they announced Victoria was going back into Stage 3. Now we're working our way back home and avoiding Melbourne. Found this along the way. TFTC. DJ

Suscoe was out and about today enjoying the sunshine of the Swan Hill region.
It was a cold morning with temperatures around zero but the day turned out to be perfect with little or no wind and clear skies all day long.
We were impressed with the ever changing countryside with the town, orchards, crops, grazing animals, the river, beautiful trees and green pastures.
We found a good range of caches and enjoyed the finds.

Thanks to Hercs&pinky for this hide, a nice touch here.
The day was getting on and so this was our last stop for the day.
Time to head back for tea.
And another cold night in the caravan, below zero the Bureau say!!!!!!!!!!

Our final day around the Western Riverina & Mallee with interesting history and country towns. Looking at the number of green boxes and blue question marks still showing up on our geo-map, we will be back, hopefully, sooner rather than later.
Nice easy to find, well themed cache, with lots of info on the cache page. A huge hay stack/storage across the road - see image.

Thanks 'Hercs&pinky' for placing caches for everyone's enjoyment.

With Fitzy_1965 we headed off towards the Murray River near Swan hill. Lots of driving with great river banks to be explored on four rivers along the way. Day 3. After a cockatoo filled night at Chah Singh Reserve we headed further towards Swan Hill, via the Wakool River and Toolybuc. We after a dash to the outskirts of Swan Hill we ended up camping near Nyah on the Murray River, no cockatoos this time.

Thanks.

After camping down by the river near the cache Chah Singh last night, we packed up and continued along our planned caching trail. This was the next find for the day. Quick find at GZ. Signed the log, returned the cache, and headed off to the next one.

Thanks to all the COs for putting out their caches !

with an old man emu
He's got a beak and feathers and things
but the poor old fella has got no wings.

That's why we found him on the ground just standing there looking sad. TFTC. SL. Nice cache and hide, took a bit to find though, a bit sneaky. Took a toy and left a card and toy. Thanks H & P for bringing us to this nice quiet spot. Cheers.**
