Today I teamed up again with marj01 for another day of caching, this time around the Narellan/Camden/Cobbity areas. We had a very enjoyable and adventurous day visiting the cache locations, finding a heap of hides but also a few DNF's along the way.
A lovely stroll and a cache bonus. TFTC.

Doing cache checks today. Cache in good condition, although it was on the ground in the open. Please be sure to place cache exactly as it is found and if it is exposed please cover it up so future cachers can enjoy the find. Happy Caching
Checked cache and all good. Please be sure to place cache exactly as it is found.

I have not been to this part of Kirkham before. There are certainly lots of lovely places here. A nice walk up the hill and a good natural hiding place.
After a busy day at the airport I intended to do this short series. Over the years I have traveled up and down Kirkham Lane when there were no house just paddocks in these here parts. Taking off from runway 06 at Camden airport one fly's directly over head of this estate and the Kirkham Meadows.
I found the parking place and headed up the Meadows. Found this one fairly easily and signed the log. Visited two TB's. Thanks for the great series lucky cricket.

Lucky to find it in the first little hidey hole i checked in while the dog chased off a cat

Decided to take the kids out on a small caching expedition to pass a few school holiday hours. Let the kids take the lead on navigating and searching (with a little help from Dad) and did'nt take too long to make the find. TFTC
5/6/17. 8:32 AM. Cache #5075.
7th of 11 today - Cobbitty, Kirkham & Epping.
For the first time in a while, I was able to head out early on a weekday morning, and to head out before the peak hour traffic got too bad. Decided to head southwest again, but a fair ways west of where I'd been yesterday.
Still walking west from #3, this time no hint but there was a big obvious thing to head for and a likely cachers trail heading that way too. Cache was well camoed, but I still spotted it fairly quickly. SL and rehid, then kept on walking to #1. TFTC.

Found with nissan 65 on a two night/day caching adventure from the south coast. Thanks for the cache
Sometimes you can think too much. As soon as I got here I decided where would be least obvious to a muggle and therefore most obvious to a cacher. Then I realised that that's boring and lucky cricket had chosen a better spot. Beautiful spot to stop, a pity about all the olives.
We spent way too long here. Yeh we had looked there at firstly. Fail. After many prickles later and the geo kids complaining of mozzie bites I directed Mr 5 to stay there out of the way whilst I had one more good look.. I hear a voice go here it is.. Yes he had it. Clan of 6 and I just looked at each other in shame after being outsmarted by a 5 year old!!!! Tftc
Found with pitman clan. With 7 kids and thorns and no listening ears that took a little longer than it should have.
A very nice place to take a walk.
A bit of a tricker hidey spot for this one, just about to give up & ahhh there you are.
Found this series on my way home from the dentist at Camden.
It did rain all the way out to #4 & back again, but hey, that's what umbrella's are for.
There were a lot of large puddles to avoid & the sandshoes got very wet as well.

#4089- At first I was expecting something a little more challenging, because of the terrain rating, but this was easy to find once we read the previous logs. bikerbuddy has the kudos for finding it- it blends in so well. Thanks
This was the most difficult of the four caches. It was the only one that wasn't an instant find. Added to that, we had to decide which direction to walk after the first cache - it could have been either right or left by the look of it - and we naturally started along the wrong path.
Once there, it took a minute of looking and checking the logs. We found a clue that suggested to me where the cache would be. Sure enough, there it was, blending in very nicely. Thanks

I was reticent about this series, being that it was a hot day and I saw lots of long grass ahead of me. This one had a decent geotrail and the rest were nice and easy to find. Nice little series. TFTC
I had seen some logs saying this was well hidden - but that just meant it was hidden exactly how geodad would hide it - so he had the cache in hand immediately while I was miles away
This turned out to be the hardest of the four to locate, yet surprisingly it doesn't have a hint...
One of the previous logs helped me here.

TFTC. Find #215.
We had wanted to find some out of area caches today but our day didn't go to plan, so we decided to stay local. Surprised that we haven't done these already. Parked at the suggested location and walked to find #1 then on to #2. Not sure if we missed an obvious path to #2, but we did a little bush bashing and then carefully navigated down a hill covered with thistles and spikey weeds! Then continued along nicely mowed track for the remainder of the way. This one took a little longer than the others, but after a little looking, the nicely camouflaged container was spotted. Thanks for this series lucky cricket.

Had a great morning caching in Narellan/Camden and surrounds. Quit a few DNF, but I am getting used to that. Most caches were very well accesable and in good condition, thanks to all the owners for placing them!

Out and about with Davaura Inc, Ausfeet and semi muggle family members. Tftc for the trail of finds up to this spot Lucky Cricket, definitely a spot I would have not been to if not for geocaching cheers!
Another easy find. This weeks bit of useless information. On my way down between this one and the next i came across a golf ball buried in middle of the path. I remember playing golf here back in 1954 with a couple of school friends. I would lay awake many a night since then wondering what happened to that golf ball. Now I can sleep easy.TFTC

I was preparing to go on a cache binge today, as recently I've been back to a quick scramble for a cache later in the day.
With the Geowife's blessing I was getting ready to go and noticed some publishing had occurred.
I spotted one new cache that fitted in with my day's plans, so decided to go for it, then continue on towards Camden, where I could make a lot of quick finds - I hoped.
In the end I got 17 finds and a few DNFs. And I managed to snag the First2Find on the new cache as well.
Top day!
###END OF CUT AND PASTE SECTION###
Continued on from *#1*.
Well, this was the hardest of the series.
The track is nicely mown and so I followed it. Some rustling in the grass next to the track helped remind me not to stray. Hopefully it was just a lizard...
As I closed in I saw the likely area for GZ and started the search. Nothing spotted. Hmmm. Then I spread out a little but nothing likely.
So I read the previous logs and noted a comment re hitting their knee. Well, I'd knocked myself slightly during the search (no blood or anything) so went back and rechecked that area. Aah, there you are.
Nicely placed.
Completed signing duties and replaced. Then onwards!

Today we decided to tackle the caches at Tahmoor, Picton, Camden and Narellan all found. Mutis, Challenge, and traditional found. some a little more challenging than others. The wind was present all day long which kept the heat down. we had a pleasant day out.
Thanks to all the Co for the effort and giving us a daily dose of exercise and smileys.

Second find of this series and it took a couple of minutes to track down, after not checking the obvious hiding spot properly! The rain is settling in a little but after a hot few days I don't mind cooling off. Took the TB and will keep it moving. TFTC!
While recovering from not related hand injury which required stitches attempted these, but hit my knee on the Cammo and the blood ran freely down the leg.reminded me to get bandaids as TOTTNicely hidden and good cameo, tftc
Great series. This one is a better hide. Looked and looked for snakes but I was lucky and did not see any. However I wonder if any saw me. Last month I was able to go to Seattle. While I was there I managed to go to Geocaching HQ. At HQ I picked up two HQ trackables. One of which I left here for the next to find. Hope it goes a long way. TFTC
Another quick find on a beautiful summery morning. Was training geomum how to use a proper GPS on this trail (so she can use it overseas) and spot on coords made this a great training ground. TFTC
Another easy find in this series on a quiet Saturday morning after work.

Continuing up the hill from the first cache, it was a cool day with out any sun and a very enjoyable stroll, we made our way up to the second cache and soon Mrs Booo had this cahce in hand. We made some swaps and returned the cache.
Thanks lucky cricket for placing this cache.

I was packing my stuff for a canyoning weekend away when i realised there was a mishap in my laundry and had to take my clothes to the laundromat. While waiting for my clothes to finish, the rest of these caches were published.
Found it about an hour after the Boos.
Thanks for the cache.
