The great Geoventure 2020 tour....take 2...which is of course now in 2021 Once again it myself and AnyMules doing things that not many sane people would attempt. [:o)]
Day 5: Today was spent in and around the Mega doing the new lab caches that we didn't do yesterday as well as anything else we found time to do nearby. Then it was off to explore a little further away and grab some more caches and the new lab series.
* If anything was particularly interesting then there will be a comment
Here.. Now this one WAS a fairly quick find.
Only one of the three goals from last year achieved. So once again trying and fill my calendar with multi-caches and complete loop 11 again this year. [^] For my third goal I will try and get my DNF numbers from over fifty to single digits. That should keep me busy again this year! [:o)]
***Thanks maccas59 for putting out this cache and maintaining it for our enjoyment. ***

Out around Lucindale and Furner this afternoon for a few caches. Cache all good, quick find. TFTC
That slope was a bit too treacherous for me especially with the ground so soft and slippery today. I took a longer, safer route in. Thank you, maccas59; cache #3614.
Staying another day in the south east after the "Used 2B a Geoventure" celebration weekend.
There's such a choice of caches to find down here [8)]
( Hopefully we'll be back for the real Geoventure when it's able to go ahead )
"Still is a Geoventure", "Better Late than never", "Geoventure Resurrection" all came to mind for next year We're sure it'll be a blast!!!
Teaming up with Sebastbat, and JEM, we hit the tracks again today and headed, umm, thataway...
The weather which was "challenging" on the weekend had turned to a mild and pleasant sunny day. We're starting to really like it down here, but alas, "essential" work expects us home soon [|)]
Another cache for the kiddy
Thanks for placing and maintaining another great cache in this region of our state maccas59

Stay safe while caching, the things you touch can often be dirty,
wash your hands, wipe down your cache gear, stay on this side of the border ( it was tempting... )
sanitise, exercise, even wear a mask if the season makes you sneeze and cough, and
cache the countryside safely distanced at least an emu or an adult brown snake's length apart ! ! !
Have fun out there caching the regions ! ! !

I had come down to Millicent for the long weekend and today it was organised to come caching with gridge98 and it turned into a big day with 74 caches found. [^] We started in Millicent headed towards Rendelsham, Southend and Beachport where we grabbed some lunch before making our way to Furner. Had a fun day finding lots of different caches with a few high terrain ones which is always a bonus for me.
A quick find here as we travelled all the back roads.
Thanks for the cache maccas59.

Arrived here, the cache was easily found and is all good
Today JJ52 and I set out from Millicent together to find all the caches around south end and beachport, we thought it would take all day but we were done by lunch time so we headed over to kangaroo inn to find all the caches in the area before attending my event back in town. Almost 80 finds for the day.

OMG loving geocaching in the South East. Headed out again with sylken for another full on day. FREEZING morning with ice on the windscreen before we headed out and still only 8 degrees at 8am! Lovely day with friends.

Today was my final day in the south-east, before geocaching back to Adelaide. After a cave dive in Pines Cave, it was on to the geocaching festivities, with an expedited pack up and drive to the Ashlar CITO that was just happening around the corner. I then met the group at a close D/T 5.0/5.0 geocache to see group ingenuity sign the cache. It was then a visit to some cave geocaches, and collecting a few more Millicent smilies. I detoured then north through Furner, and collected a large cluster of caches spread around the back roads. I was soon having enough doing random rural geocaches solo, so made my way back to the highway, and started making headway towards home. I made sure to stop off at an oldie geocache that I had eyed many times driving along this road, which was a few kilometres towards Lucindale, before passing through Kingston SE and onwards to home. It was a day of variety and clearing some more geocaches around 2020's mega destination.
The coordinates seemed to be bouncing a bit, which lead for a few places to be searched before making the cache find. Some big bull ants at GZ too . The geocache container and logbook were in good shape. Thanks maccas59 for the cache placement and ongoing maintenance.

Whitepaws9 and I chatted and laughed along the dirt road in my car. Some of them were hard to find but we managed.
Luckily no snakes were seen.
Found it nice and easy.
Thanks maccas59 for the cache
I cant make it for the Mega so have come down for a few days to clear a bit if the map. TFTC
I spent New Years day cruising the back roads today.
A quick, Kiddie sized cache find here

Suscoe and Phetlern headed out late this afternoon to find a few caches before sundown.
It has been great caching with Phetlern over the last few days and the fun continued this afternoon.
The afternoon was becoming a little cooler with some high cloud slipping in from the west.
Thanks to maccas59 for this hide.

After setting up camp in Millicent, there was time to grab the Suscoe duo and head out for a few local caches before dinner.
Thankfully the cache we found today was certainly not the micro listed on the cache page as that pesky sticky creeper was grabbing on to everything.
**Feedback to CO:** Cache is listed as 'Micro' however the container we found was a 'Small' see; Help Centre - [Cache container sizes](https://www.geocaching.com/help/index.php?pg=kb.chapter&id=97&pgid=815)
Thanks 'maccas59' for placing caches for everyone's enjoyment.

We have based ourselves in Millicent and have ventured out to as many surrounding areas as possible in a day to go sight seeing and caching. This was one we targetted and found. Thanks to maccas59 for placement of this cache and adding to our enjoyment of the area.
Millicent
We have set up camp in a wonderful park that is situated beside the lakeside pool.
We set out along farming countryside finding caches as we went.

This cache was a bit scary, steep slope, ants, wire and prickly bushes. Everyone got out to help and Hevwalker made the find. Thanks for the cache.
A group assault as we changed direction today and decided to cache North.
Great driving around the back blocks today.
We spent quite a bit of time searching for this one,
found lots of ants, prickles and nasty bits of wire, but the coordinates were spot on thanks to hevwalker spotting the tricky thing

Out on a Sunday adventure with Claire007, Aussie M & M, CPwanderer, Hevwalker, myself and Sir Spectre (CACHeMS)... found lots of caches, plus a snake guarding where a cache should have been and having lots of fun.
Thanks for placing these caches.
Thanks for placing these caches.
Out & about with 7 other cachers, logged as CACHEMS...
We looked around here for ages...we were just about to give up when I thought I would have one more scratch around the area when I flicked it out from it's hide...glad to tick this one off...

This was one of the caches completed with AussieM&M, hevwalker, Clare007, Sir Spector, Mogni and Honeysucker. We used our initials to log under the collective name of CACHEMS !. Even with two car loads some proved very elusive and we had three DNFs on the ones we attempted. Our time ran out so we will have to return another day to complete they rest!! It was very enjoyable crusing around the backblocks with so many sets of eyes. A little disappointed that so many of these hides were micros when it would have been possible to have put out a larger cache. Nevertheless this was great fun…….. we only saw one snake. Thankyou for the cache!!
Getting to know the roads around Furner quite well with all the to and fro-ing trying to fill gaps on my calendar. Found this one after another long search, if it helps others what you are looking for is a very small systema container & I still don't like this spot.
We followed the GPS but don't think we were in right place as it didn't match the description. There were animal bones scattered everywhere and it was down a steep embankment.
*FTF*
Find 2001 and a FTF, great start to the weekend. We were supposed to be helping move some sheep but figured a little detour before we started would be fine.
Saw one wallaby along the track on our way in, not sure what spooked him but he was hopping very fast. Fortunately no snakes discovered in our search.
Thanks maccas59 for the cache.
