My first cache of 2024! I specifically chose this one to be my first find of the year.I had been in the city for the New Years fireworks display and took the Seaford train from Hallett Cove Beach station.I was disappointed that I had no one to go with. However, I realised I could use it to my advantage. I was free to go wherever without needing to drop anyone home afterwards... meaning I'm free to find a cache!I took the car down the expressway to here. As I thought it would be cool for Goldy to start the year along the Golden Wattle trail.I arrived at GZ at exactly 2AM. I searched around and did a few laps and eventually, the light from my torch reflected off the cache container.I signed the log at 2:02AM. A fun start to the year. I celebrated my 2000th find on a JJ52 hide. Now I'm celebrating the new year with another hide by the same CO.When reaching in for the cache, I got covered in tree sap. So I'm now all sticky. All just part of the fun of caching! The cache is in good order. A favourite point for you!Happy New Year to everyone. I hope you all have a good year with no DNF's!Thanks JJ52 for this traditional cache, which brings Goldy's total find count to 3913 on the 1st of January 2024.This also brings me to day #423 of my daily streak.
I needed to grab a few caches to keep my numbers up for the year. Sir_spectre came along to assist. Thanks to JJ52 from mogni .
A beautiful, sunny day to catch a train down south with my bike to grab some southern caches.
The gum trees are covered in flowers and are a buzz of activity

On the way back from Salisbury we stopped at Rex,s for some dinner items and knowing there was a cache nearby on a clear bit of area that we can find in the dark we grabbed a quick find.
Dropped the car off at Salisbury and caught the train into the city while the work was getting done, we both agreed we are very glad we live no where near the city, way too many people for our liking!
Thanks Jude for the cache, found, signed and replaced.

One of four JJ52 caches found after a double breakfast event on the other side of town followed by a frustrating interchange with the bank. These caches have helped take my mind off of things for a while, and it’s a beautiful winters day too. Thanks for highlighting these nice green spaces with all these caches a short walk apart JJ52.
I headed out for a bit of a wander today and I was looking for a few caches that were close to home and, as of yet, unfound. It was a short walk from home and on arrival at GZ, a relatively quick find. TFTC JJ52
Never realised this path went right next to my church, had a lovely jog down it after some torrential rain
Found after a few circlings,
Hope to be beating my unimpressive streak score soon.
Thanks for the cache

TFTC! Definitely overlooked the cache at first, but after walking away and coming back a fresh it was easy to spot
Quick find here today, cache was easily found and is all good
This morning with the CITO in the area, I got up early to head around the area to find a few caches yet to be found.
Total of 13 caches found
Thanks for the cache

Found during a caching tour of the far southern suburbs around Hackam, Noarlunga Downs and Morphett Vale after attending the Jordan Drive Reserve CITO. Thanks for the cache JJ52!
A great walking trail with caches, what could be better! The dog got confused as I did a few laps of GZ but finally found it. TFTC
14 - Happy Good Friday!
Out for the day grabbing caches with my future hubby who doesn’t like geocaching. Tftc!

Found with NiciDanielle and Zoe the Geodog. Geowife took Geopup onwards on the path leaving me to look while she went to look for somewhere to dispose of Geopup's Geomess. Took maybe 3 or 4 rounds of the tree before getting the right angle at which to spot. Was harder than it should have been! Just needed the right angle at which to spot. TFTC
Saturday walk with the geo-pup. First find of the day, did a couple of laps before we spotted it.

Stopped by today to check on this one. Found remains of log but no cache. Have now replaced cache and log. All good to go again.
2nd DNF on this one for me.
Searched for 10 mins, waking around the tree 4x and carefully inspecting it, but couldnt find anything.
Either its gone or I have a massive case of cache blindness.

Just downloaded the app today and I found this one nearby. Thought I may as well check it out on the way to the shop.
Man! some of these are sneaky and usually have me looking for well over 2 minutes sometimes, even though the hide type i have lost count of how many times i've seen and found [:o]
It's testament to the quality of the hider no doubt.
However... it was found and it's log was signed at 10:32 on the chilly but sunny, Wednesday the 5th of August 2020.
The cache and contents are fine and dry [^]

Found a previous DNF while in the area much easier to look around this time, as I recall my previous visit there were soursobs everywhere TFTC
[@jesswrigley](http://coord.info/PRNW59T) and I spend the morning geocaching around the southern suburbs of Adelaide, which was driven by *The Breakfast Club* event in Morphett Vale. Once some yummy food was had, we walked around the Christie Creek Wetland for a few targeted caches (like a letterbox hybrid), and then made our way even more south converting some of my DNFs to finds around Hackham. It was then a couple of final stops targeting some older geocaches around Woodcroft and Chandlers Hill, before it warmed up even further for the day.
The last time I was here, I had a DNF, which then the CO subsequently confirmed that the cache was missing. Back today after the cache had been replaced, it turned out to be a relatively quick find by [@jesswrigley](http://coord.info/PRNW59T). As one may expect with a new replacement, the cache container and logbook were in good shape. Thanks [@JJ52](http://coord.info/PR7ZQX5) for the cache placement and prompt maintenance!

Found with Davidwazza whilst exploring the area after a nearby breakfast event! TFTC
The tree and its base have had a clean up and the cache with it. I have now replaced the cache with a camoed bison tube.
A few DNFs now in last few months, so it may be worth the CO checking on this one to see if it is still in place? Thanks JJ52!
With work finishing at lunchtime today, I wondered how to spend my afternoon. There were a fair few geocaches down south that I had wanted to do on my bike, so decided to drive down, and ride the Coast to Vines Rail Trail from Morphett Vale to Hackham. Then towards Huntfield Heights and to the sound of Christmas carols, it was then back riding along Golden Wattle Way Trail, and finishing off where I started. I'm not a big fan of suburbian caches and driving around stopping/starting, but cycling + geocaching was a lot of fun, and very enjoyable. A nice temperature sunny afternoon to be riding around also.
I was on my way back towards the car, and now the phone's battery was looking a little worse for wear. I proceeded to stop along these Golden Wattle Way Trail caches, and this was another geocache that I had to leave with a frown. It felt like I had a really good detailed search around the tree in question, and suspected what I was looking for, but just didn't have any luck. Will watch and see; Thanks anyway [@JJ52](http://coord.info/PR7ZQX5).

Looked around for a while and couldn’t see anything. Tried using the new coordinates but still didn’t have any luck. Maybe next time!

It took one circumnavigation of the main object before something interesting was noticed that was consistent with the hint. Closer investigation revealed a very well designed and hidden cache. The cache and contents were in good condition. This cache earns a favourite from us, Thanks JJ52 for the cache,
A Noisy Miner watched as I poked around under his. Couldn’t find any rocks or anything else resembling a cache so I tried a few other trees nearby. No luck. I’ll keep on walking and try to find the rest of this trail while waiting for my sister to return home from the land of the free pencils
Out today completing some cache maintenance, the replacement cache had gone missing, so I have now changed the container and the hide and updated the coordinates.
All good to go again.

Went looking for this one yesterday while taking a business trip in Adelaide, could not for the life of me find a brick with the cache in it
Went to check the new fence and yes the cache has gone.
Have replaced with same container in a similar hide, all good to go.

There has been a fence replaced at GZ... owner of property (who we may have infected with the geocaching bug) says it happened a week ago. We suspect the cache has gone Can the CO please check?
After attending a southern event, with earthlight, it was time to locate geocaches... still hunting Hidden Creatures souvenirs
The log is almost full and the bag has suffered somewhat. It's going to need some TLC soon.

Linda spotted this cache in the open close to hint. Soon signed the log and returned with camo . TFTC
