This one eluded me after a brief search... the sun was setting, the toilet was calling, the rangers were approaching... oh well. It gives me something to do next time.
Out this morning, caching around the summerlands area. It was a beautiful morning to be out and about and finding some quality caches. A quick find here, tftc!
At this point we were getting excited to see the seals. The cache was found in excellent condition and put back nicely. What a stunning place to stop and look out to sea. Thanks for the placement.
Caching on Treasure Island with +Wife.
Today we visited the nearby blowhole and stopped for a devonshire tea.
Next stop was here to admire the view and find one of your geocaches.
Happy Mothers Day L.

Beautiful view of the ocean. Loaded with muggles. Great find. Thanks for the cache.
You wouldn't think this would be a busy spot, but I was waiting for ages - well it seemed like ages as I was on a schedule. One family went down the ramp, and I made haste, only just chucking the cache back as the next van arrived.
On holiday from the uk slow drive down from Sydney to Adelaide over 5 weeks. Stopped at Phillip Island for a couple of days. Popped along to see The Nobbies and noticed a bunch of caches along the away. Excuse the cut and pasting but all logs being done on phone and using local cafe WiFi! Stunning views and beaches to see and a few penguins. Thanks for placing and maintaining this cache. Signed log and replaced as found.
Quick find after visiting The Nobbies. To busy on our way in with all the surfers busy here catching waves, but quietened down enough later to have room to stop and search. TNLNSL TFTC Gonefishen07
Out with little miss 11 this week and a quick few cache were found. Thanks for the hide amd mini adventure. So love watching these beaches, the best!
GeoP is treating a muggle friend to some time out at PI for the weekend. Of course one of the requirements is obligatory caching.
Woot another find with no muggle interruptions.

Well this took sometime to replace. Muggle central today. Thank goodness I had BorisB&Natasha with me. It seems someone wanted the original cache more than we did so has been replaced with something similar.

Three things can ruin any geocache. This is true no matter what the age of the cache and whether a geocache is a creative hide, a geocache that delivers hikers deep into the untamed wilderness, or fantastical Puzzle Cache with a big surprise twist.
If the geocache is soaked through with water, the container is cracked or geocachers don't know it's a geocache because it's not marked/identified, it's what some people call a #fail.
To avoid the #fail, CO's need to make sure their geocache is D2W compliant. It should be:
- Durable
- Water-tight
- Well-marked
This cache is carrying one or more logs which suggest some attention by the cache owner is needed in this regard.
The guidelines advise that the CO should make regular visits to check on the cache as well as promptly address any logs that indicate that the cache requires some attention. **If you can not attend to the issue promptly, then you need to Disable the cache - I have disabled it this time.**
Please respond to this situation (or indicated your intentions including a date) by **4th November**, otherwise, it will be necessary to withdraw the cache from the Active listing.
**And don't forget,** once you have addressed the issue, post both an "Owner Maintenance" log, see here; [Removing the Needs Maintenance Icon](http://support.groundspeak.com/index.php?pg=kb.page&id=404) and an "Enable Listing" log, see here; [Temporarily Disable and Enable ](https://support.groundspeak.com/index.php?pg=kb.page&id=235 ) to get your cache up and running again.

This was attempt 2 at finding this cache. Previously a late afternoon attempt and we were moved on by a ranger as the gates were to be shut. This time a little care was required due to a few muggles coming and going and some nearby Cape Barren geese. We found a container with a log although it wasn't in a spot that seemed to fit others we had found and the container seemed a little strange. Anyway we have logged this as a find. TFTC
soon as school holidays are over hopefully I will get a chance to fix this one
I found this cache quickly as it had not been covered too well. Left in a better state. Final day of our long weekend on Phillip Island, in the company of quiet1_au and GJMMelb. TFTC
The last on the island for lochb, G&J of GJMMelb and I, we had a little non-caching fun at the Antarctic Centre then tackled the easier caches around the Nobbies area whilst making our way back to the mainland. This one was a quick drive-by with lochb making the quick find so we could escape the muggles (I think the carpark was full and we had to park semi-legally for the few minutes we hoped it would take us to find the cache, and had a muggle pull in behind us who at least had the courtesy to ask if we had enough room to get out...) TFTC
Due to the Mega being in Melbourne we (GJMMelb, quiet1_au and lochb) decided we needed a caching weekend away somewhere and Phillip Island really fit the bill
Today is the last day on the island and so we headed back to the Nobbies area etc as we didn’t have time to find any here yesterday before the Penguins. So this morning we went to the Nobbies and had fun at the Antarctic Centre with part of our 4 park pass and then q1 & lb did the earth cache at the blowhole. We then piled into one car and made our way here. We only had time for the drive bys this morning, so will be back for the ones that require a long walk lb made the find on this one. We may have used a sticker or signed the log before remembering to get a sticker out.

Had some muggles just sitting in their car but they didn't know what I was up to... Tftc gonefishin
This was our last one for the session today and was found with a very wet log. Have sent needs maintenance but managed to sign the log without destroying. The view from this lookout like all others in this area is magnificent so thank it for this cache which brought us to this spot.
Our mistake here was NOT parking on top of this one, as just when we walked over to GZ two cars full of foreign speaking tourists zoomed in and parked just a couple of metres from where we needed to be. We played tourist and took photos and hoped they’d head off again quickly. One guy kept running around throwing his arms in the air and shouting things, the other guy was yelling stuff at him and a lady was taking photos of it all... we couldn’t work out what was going on so in the end we headed back to our car to wait them out. Eventually they left and we were able to make a bee-line back to GZ and make a very quick find. SL TFTC
Da wir gestern zu spät waren für die Nobbies, kamen wir heute noch mal.
Unterwegs fanden wir einige Caches. So auch diesen hier.
Beim Besuch am Aussichtspunkt am Cowry Beach wurden wir sofort fündig. Danke!

Two magnificent April days in a row is not all that common so when you get them you must make the best of them. Out and about on the Island found us heading down around the Nobbies. Just like all others this morning, a beautiful spot to take in the views and the smells. And at some stage while all of this was happening, the cache wound up in my hand. Fancy that. TNLNSL. TFTC. Having cleared the caches from the south side we headed back to retrieve those we could from the top side. TNLN, TFTC Gonefishen07

Got up really early this morning to take breathtaking photos & caching along South Gippsland
Was this supposed to have a capping? If so it's gone. Another nice hide. TFTC JenneG and Budgy Nth Nowra NSW
Another nice quick one on the way to the Nobbies before the Penguin Parade. TFTC
We just found an empty container following the coords/hint. No lid, no logbook. So we placed a second container with a replacement log in the old container.
We didn't attempt to find this cache as it was off the boardwalk and little penguins were nesting (chicks) at the Geocache location
Another nicely hidden cache. As I went to put it back a very annoyed goose screamed in my ear. It made me jump.... to put it mildly.

Continuing on our adventure after attending the Alexandra Mega Event, we found ourselves spending a few days on Phillip Island. While we tried to take advantage of the many great places to see on the island, we were pre-occupied with trying to complete the qualifying requirements for a particular challenge cache we had signed in Ballarat prior to the Surf Coast Mega Event last year. It really does pay to check the finer details of a challenge cache before you decide to look for it We had thought you needed to have found 100 caches in Victoria, but it was only when we came to log it that we realised the 100 caches in Victoria had to have been placed by the same cache owner
Anyway, initially we thought we would complete the challenge by doing the Mt Disappointment caches, but then friends who knew we were heading to Phillip Island told us we would easily qualify for the challenge there, and they would be much more interesting caches Well they were quite interesting, and some of them were downright sneaky
In the end, we had an enjoyable couple of days exploring Phillip Island and finding a variety of cache hides, with some great walks along some of the beaches and other places
Thank you Gonefishen07 for having placed the cache and maintaining it for everyone to enjoy

On a 6 day tour of Victoria with Barnzy12. Taking the red eye over from Perth we managed to visit some great places. The main reason for the travel was the Mega event in Alexandra and the opportunity to find 12 cache types in a day.
We originally travelled to Phillip bay, then up through the country side to Alexandra. Spent a few nights staying high in the snowfields and then moved over to Mt Disappointment. We then ended up back where we started returning the hire car at the airport to fly home.
Some quality caches were found all over the state, great to get a real range of cache sizes with some very large caches compared to what’s available in WA and the range of D/T options so close to each other was a bonus.
Thanks to all the Cache owners for you placements and creativity put into hiding and have awarded a few fav points based on this or the location it bought us too.

In Melbourne with Cravo10 to attend the Mega in Alexandra.
We took the red eye from Perth, leaving at 1am Thursday morning, and departed Melbourne early Tuesday morning, so it was a short five day trip.
We managed to snag a couple of nice stats for the trip. First mega event, 12 cache types in a day, 10 lab caches, 50th large cache find, and most importantly my 10,000th find at Mount Disappointment.
We spent the first day on a caching run from
Melbourne to Phillip Island where we had booked into the local caravan park for the evening. We cached all day chasing down a number of the whereigo and puzzle caches from the CF series, before ending the day caching the extremities of Phillip Island, where we had both never been, an amazing part of this country.
Next morning we cached our way to Alexandra which was the main reason for our trip to Melbourne as we had both never managed to attend a mega, which were hoping to rectify in WA next year! Attended the pre event and managed to get a couple of group FTFs by torchlight which was a real highlight.
Saturday we cached in and around Alexandra all day, chasing numbers, the highlight of the day would have to be the birdbox hides around Alexandra and the multi in Bonnie Doon from that famous TV show, a real nice touch!
Sunday was an epic caching day, chasing down 12 types in a day, which required a couple of huge drives to claim some of the rarer icons around. A huge caching stat which is a very rare feat in the Southern Hemisphere. We finished the day travelling to Mount disappointment where we found Melbourne's 1st cache and then started making a dent in the powertrail, finishing by torchlight.
Our last full days caching was spent at Mount Disappointment to chase some big numbers and with a few caches around the burbs for good measure.
Special thanks to all the wonderful COs around Melbourne for their brilliant caches, and to the mega committee for organising a ripper event, hope to be back next year!

Fairly long search here and nothing found at first. Thought we would have just one more look and bingo we found it not quite where expected! Super custom cache a definite favourite point earned. TFTC and greetings from the UK
Last day of our stay and only deshut and faithful companion out geocaching today. This was our first, and as it transpired, our only success from 3 tries. Conscious of foliage we soon read the hint, but it took quite a bit of work, even though l knew roughly what l was looking for. Another very good cache. Thanks.
What a find this one was not just for a different cacher but a local surfer who knew what we were and was excited in learning so we do what we do best introduced him to our world talked about gps caches them sevles people who could place them and then he told us about his find on the cache before mistake and how he always checks on it hed became a cache guardian in some sense tftc

Note too many muggles around late in the afternoon. Nothing found at the likely spots near the posted coordinates. Hint did not help and search cut short by rangers informing us that gates would soon be shut. Given the recent DNFs this probably should be checked.
No find here I'm afraid. A clear little spot where the hint described though. Hard to believe something in that spot could go missing, but I fear that may be what has happened.
