Teamed up with morty8888 who was the designated driver today for some laps around Oran Park. Although the rain threatened all day, the umbrellas remained unfurled.
No luck for us here today.
No luck for us here today.
Oldmorty and I headed away from the wet coast and lucked on a dry day even with black ominous clouds above. Having spent time at Oran Park raceway many years ago, I still had no bearings of where the actual track would be today.
No luck today. Glad it was wet too with all the snake signs around. TFTC!

A mob of kangaroos where there waiting for me as I walked down the path. The hint was helpful in locating the hide , nice popular looking cache . A golden paper clip left . Maybe a previous geocacher left something on the rock and find themselves without a pen ? Nice little story about the area .TFTC.
What a cheeky spot to hide, we found it after about 10 minutes hint hint- I like to be scanned underneath, and I camouflage from above!!
Had a little trouble but we found it eventually. We read the hint a bunch of times until we finally understood what it meant. What an amazing spot! Would have never thought of it.

Came back for a second try after a SNF back in feb. decided to be less leery of creepy crawlers and just went for it. TFTC
Taking the opportunity to pick up a few random caches while the missus gets her hair done (and I’d got an unnecessary haircut), so out the salon I went and picked out a couple of possibilities. It was much warmer than I was anticipating, so in my glad rags, didn’t want to be going too much off trail. I’d had my eye on this one sometime back, but always seemed to run out of time. Which in hindsight it seems was just as well as it seemed to have vanished, but has since been replaced. So I decided, let’s do this. With the previous descriptions, I met up with pretty much what I was expecting. So, so many possibilities. Ok, no other way than methodical search in the open sun in the heat, ugh! Eventually I was rewarded with a familiar sight! Bingo! Finally got you! Oh how I dislike these rock wall type hides!

I’ve been trying to find this one occasionally for a few years. Every time I’ve walked away unsuccessful but never felt I could post a DNF, what I wanted to post was a DNLHE (Didn’t Look Hard Enough). After my last attempt in December I asked a recent finder for a hint. While they couldn’t give one, they could confirm a few days later that it wasn’t where they’d found it. Friend-of-a-friend chat led to a CO check and difficulty rating increase so today while working in the area I stopped by.
Not sure what my problem has been all these years. A short stroll down the hill, a quick look around, and it was in the most obvious place. A one-minute find. Anticlimactic, yet still with a good sense of achievement.

So after yesterday's chat, today I popped over for a cache check today and after almost dying in the heat, I can safely say it it wasn't there!! Good thing I was already prepared, so cache is now in place and ready to go!
Have upped difficultly to 3 after receiving some feedback and having chats to other cachers. If you don't think its a 3, thats cool, enjoy filling your fizzy cube

Second find for Geokid 2. We tried for this one once before and spent a lot of time only to leave empty handed but today Geokid 2 located it very quickly. Hooray for International Geocaching Day. TFTC
Came by with Littl3Vix today to replace the log. I made her find it first and can confirm it's still here
First find for the day! It is still in location and the waypoint is correct, just check a bit more thoroughly. Its above the pipes so no need to jump down and get wet. TFTC!
Searched in and around the rock pit and DNF any hints would be much appreciated rock on
Looked for a while, but struggled to find this sneaky fella, maybe next time.
Did find this little guy though!
Did find this little guy though!
This is a tricky hide!!! Lucky we we narrowed into the right spot and geo wife had her hands on it! Log extremely wet so took photo! Don’t get confused by the hint and the photos on here!
Happy to have turned that frown into a smiley on my 2nd attempt! Thanks to Bustaraff for helping narrow down my search. Talk about needle in a haystack! Tftc!
Unfortunately ran out of daylight and phone battery, so this one will have to wait
Just the heads up, hidden heaps well however contents must of got went, it’s all mouldy and ewwwy, we had nothing to replace it with
Found!! Was a great spot!! Hint, can u smell what the .... is cooking? Haha unfortunatly got water inside of it and the log needs replaceing found with mack486097
Searched for quite a while. A lot of spider homes but no cache to be found today. Have to come back and try again
We tried this one yesterday afternoon with no luck! Turned lots of rocks but couldn't find it.
On the area visiting my nephew so walked around with him grabbing a few caches

Felt like hobbits running rampant on the rocky path, but eventually found this one. The hint was very helpful!
Even knowing exactly what to look for, still took about 10 mins to have Cache in hand. TFTC!!!
Tried this one at night with no luck. Thankfully daylight and consulting the activity log helped us out. TFTC!
Another hidden area I hadn't known about.. Geo kid found this whilst I was standing on it almost. TFTC
This was tough one, few muggles with their dogs cane by and after about 5 mind we found it, great camp bad good hide
We arrived at GZ and were immediately defeated by what seemed to be a needle in a haystack type of hide. Thankfully the coordinates are quite good and by looking at the aerial map we were able to pretty quickly narrow down our search area and it wasn't long after that that we spotted the hide. We had suspected this type of hide and from previous experience with this type of camo it stood out as soon as we uncovered it. Only problem was we left our pen in the car.. ahh. Took a photo of the log as proof of our find. TFTC and for bringing us to this nice little area.
Turned over so many rocks with TeamVadala and still did not find. Will be back again. More hints please!!!
Turned up at gz and looked at that pile of rocks and had 4 geokids and thought this could end up as a DNF but that many kids for once helped. Geo kid 11 found it pretty quick so the for them to play nearby TFTC
Some wild wallabies foiled our attempts to look for the cache. Didn't want to disrupt them so we left. Will have to come back later
Finally back for this one, turned my frown upside down with the Hillsters help.
Found with Mr Hill after attending the Where in the world is Signal the Frog? Australia! Event.
Lots-a-rocks.

Need to update my car GPS. Walked about 500 metres to this through the Harrington Forest. Guessed what type of cache I was looking for but took a while to see it poking out from under a rock. TFTC
Second attempt at GZ. What a difference daylight makes as well as updating the maps on the car satnav to navigate these new estates.
I thought this was going to be a long search, but it wasn't long before I spotted it. Look for something you've probably seen before...and it's the odd one out...underneath .

#4208 (4 of 10 today)
My goal of having five finds per calendar day by year's end continued apace - and I'm closing in on my target! At the beginning of this month I only had five days to go - each needing only the one find. Well one of those days was 2 days ago, and another was today.
As usual overkill is generally the object, so needing one find today I got 10. Will help with this year's GeoActivity - I think I got the first week's points target by myself on day one...
In the end I grabbed ten (including an event) and was muggled out of another. Good day.
###END OF CUT AND PASTE SECTION###
Ah - needle in a haystack time.
Decided to try short cutting it by checking the hint and the logs early. OK, let's try this approach. Five minutes later made the find! HUZZAH!
Completed signing duties and replaced.
Could have had a world of pain here.

Wow, so many options. This one did take some time to locate, but a careful search eventually uncovered the cache.
I'm sure Sir W would be happy with the development, it's lovely and what a gem this space is with the play equipment for the kids. TFTC

A familiar needle in a haystack. This one took quite a while. I'd pretty much given up when one last look turned it up. The description is more helpful than the hint here. TFTC!
This afternoon we visited this new estate and the lovely green space area complete with exercising equipment. GZ that was a challenge, so many! But it was my Geo-wife who quickly found the well hidden cache, thanks.
a few quick caches around Raby/Campbeltown this morning after doing a parkrun in Raby. Most caches were not a problem and thanks to all the owners for putting them out there!

This new estate The houses here have no yards at all, I guess it's all going that way, so much for owing a 1/4 acres for kid to play in. This location is going to look nice once the plants establish, it didn't take too long before the cache was located. Thanks
#4121- Out on a beautiful autumn morning's caching with thomo31. This was our first cache of the day, heading to Narellan and Camden and a loop back home in the mountains.
A pretty little area with what we thought was a pond at first, which turned out to be a grassy area. I must confess that on arrival, I groaned, but like some others before me I spied the cache within a minute. Thanks

Out for a morning caching with WaywardWoman. A new area for me to explore. WW spotted this one quickly! Signed and returned as found. TFTC
# 500, yippee and in the top 10 hard to finds, probably due to where it is.4th attempt as the rivers of sweat rolled got out the big guns,a glove on each hand, then finally , I was rocked. Even with a clue from a couple of previous finders, the location was hard to describe, tftc
There were a few muggles walking their dogs early this morning so we had to patiently wait for them to be on their way, which ended up looking like a silent movie when one of the dogs got away in the distance and the owner had to go running after it, which made a bee line to the next group of dogs...so on and so forth....chaos... they gathered themselves up and went on their ways. Definitely a needle in the haystack, the GPS was jumping around a little, so between my GPS and 007 Mushus GPS we managed to narrow down the area and made the find. Great hide TFTC
Found with Lucky Cricket and Little Cricket. A nice spot with some interesting landscaping, Lots of dog walkers out and about this morning. good hide TFTC
A needle in a haystack. After a few minutes of searching, Dan heard someone approaching along the track. As he turned his head to see them, he happened to spot the cache. TFTC
After a long search I found it just sitting there looking at me. Nasty spot to describe to a phone-a-friend!?!

It must have got washed away in the torrent of water that's gone here in the last couple of days-or was that the sweat running down my brow on a muggy arvo .Coords bounced around to 4 different place.will return when refreshed, tftcs
As a fairly new cache, or want uploaded to my gps yet so i was hunting by my phone app. Which makes searching a place like this when i need pin point accuracy much more difficult.
But with the phrasing of the placement i managed to stumble my way to find the cache.
Thanks.
