Apologies for the late log - semi retirement is busy!! lolWe're staying in Point Lonsdale for a few days and today is our Anniversary We spent the morning doing some caching then came back to the holiday house for a late lunch. The weather was looking a bit dicy so we stayed put for a while then it cleared up so we set off again to the new estate at Point Lonsdale then the Marcus Hill caches. We then headed here, finding the normal track to GZ with a recently fallen tree but we were able to find another way in. Info gathered, we headed to GZ and found the cache nice and easily. The outer container had quite a lot of water in it but the inner container was almost completely dry, so the log book was pretty good. We then walked down to the lake to take some photos. Thanks for bringing us here to this pretty place. TFTC TheJackoCrew - GJMMelb
Armed with gz coords found reasonably quickly. Ive never been here before. Coming down the road there is a dam with loads of rubbish! I saw a cow eating a t shirt!!Thanks for the cache TheJackoCrew
Nice multi and nice location on sunset 6:07 pm and 38 new caches ticked off today
Another fun multi and one that hasn't been found for a while...Came in along the dirt road as suggested and was soon walking in towards the posted co-ords. Once there, the required numbers were soon found and I was off, in the right direction, to GZ. Bit overgrown in that area, but the cache was a quick find, and with the log soon signed, I was on my way back to the car. Thanks TheJackoCrew....cache all good.
Today we found Ace! on our travels. Once we found an appropriate approach for our loaner car it was a brief walk in this little piece of remnant vegetation and we were signing a log. Thanks TheJackoCrew for being part of our geocaching fun.
GZ was the perfect spot to sit and look out over the water. Coordinates got us to the cache- bug spray was definitely needed, we were both eaten alive!
After a previous DNF, happy to turn this one into a smiley face. Thanks for the cache & interesting place for a multi. A favourite from me
We have very few dots left on the Bellarine Peninsula. this one has been grey for a little while and we noticed this morning that it had changed to orange.
We had a few errands to run in Geelong and decided to detour to this cache on the way back home.
We parked Joey the geomobile and wandered down the freshly mown path towards the posted coordinates. we arrived at or near the coordinates and Mr Dromaniax's phone wouldn't settle, so he was looking high and low. Mrs Dromaniax asked what we were looking for and said, "Oh, coordinates, I've found them".
Once we had the coordinates we made our way to GZ and made a very quick find. The cache is in excellent condition and Stuey says, "Hi!"
Thank you for this cache Jacko83. Do we get points for guessing Bushfire donated the container?

Searched high and low at WP but we couldn't find the info required. Will try again another day.
I've had this cache in the pipeline for a while as it had some good unloved on it. Whilst the wife and youngest child were having, the son and i took off on the adventure. The first stop was at our favourite chicken shop ChicknRanch to buy some hot chips to enjoy on our drive.
After 30mins of driving, we arrived at our destination. We made our way to WP1 whilst keeping a keen eye on the path for any wriggling sticks. We searched high and low and couldn't find what was needed for the next leg. A quick text to the CO to let him know and we were then directed to the final hiding spot.
My son spotted the cache first but it had definitely seen better days. We replaced the log and container so others can enjoy this beautiful area
I wish we had more time to sit and watch all the wildlife enjoying this little hidden gem.
Thanks for the cache!

Not sure what I was meant to be looking for at First waypoint but couldn’t find anything. Nice secluded area though.

*Cache find # 10991.*
While I was over this way I spotted this multi on the map so I had to head over to it.
I took the easier way in from Shell Rd to the parking waypoint and then headed off on foot to the posted coordinates, once there it did take my a while to find what was needed as it appears it is no longer the way it was originally placed so it was a bit harder to spot but got there in the end.
Now I packed my bags for the long journey to GZ, once I arrived the cache was spotted quickly but the contents are very wet, I was able to sign the log but it's in a bad way.
I returned to the car and drove out the more memorable way, it was a bit different to the way in.
**Thanks to Jacko83 for placing this cache.**

I think this needs some maintenance as the log book is water logged, (no pun intended)
Diverted up this side track to see the lake. We enjoyed this little multi in its simplicity. Log is absolutely saturated and unable to sign. Photo instead.
Thanks for taking us there and placing this cache.

Find #2330 for me. Found at 8:47 am with my 7yo daughter while visiting the area from Bendigo. Light rain had started to fall as we made our way to the posted coordinates but that was very pleasant compared to the recent heat we'd been experiencing so I was grateful for it. My daughter was a little apprehensive about the long grass surrounding the nearby seat but with a little persuasion she sat there patiently while I hunted around for the clue leading to the prize which was found after a short search. Once at GZ we made a quick find of the novel container. The log book was very damp and may need some attention, but I was able to add my name so all good. Aysen is truly an Ace, and I love seeing the occasional photo of his adventures posted on Facebook which my own kids would baulk at. Thanks for this cache placed in his honour, Jacko83and thanks for the fun treasure-hunt you took us on this morning!
Found on a nice evening with the 10 year old. The log is quite soggy. Lovely views, remember being here to find the previous archived cache. Tftc
On the way to the Christmas event we took a detour to do this multi with the 5 year old bunny. He loved being in charge of this one, finding the coordinates and locating the container. We had made the more adventurous approach using the roads to the north and decided the 'no through road' sign was just there for 2WD! Great to complete this cache and meet up with the CO and son later in the day. TFTC
A great place to go to to find a cache. Today there is plenty of water in the lake with loads of swans enjoying the water. The house next door is interesting, we would love to know the history. The cache is in good condition. SL TFTC
With DAB having some time off and I having a RDO today, we joined forces to make a day of it in and around Geelong. We had planned many things today including tree climbs, ladder climbs, kayaking and general geocaching fun. It was freezing for most of the morning with fog around until late morning. But as always it was a great day out
I don't come down this much these days so I was keen to come past to visit the reserve along finding this cache. It's a nice spot that seems to be unloved. Our GPSr sent us on a wild goose chase before settling near a likely location for the details. They were quickly spotted and after a short walk the search began in the wet shrubs. As DAB rounded the area the cache was easily seen.

Being the first day of my holidays, I wanted to start the week of with a bang. So a day of caching was planned with Na'wal. Waking up early to a thick fog, we made sure to dress warmly. It wasn't until about lunchtime that the fog finally cleared to reveal a beautiful sunny day. What a day it turned out to be. There was climbing, tunnel exploring, wading and even some kayaking. A very satisfying day indeed, with some very rewarding finds added to our tally.
This is a lovely little hidden gem of an area. Unfortunately it looks the council has all but forgotten about it, as the tracks disappear after a while. It's a pity, as it is a very nice walk with great views. We had no trouble with the hide and the cache was soon revealed. There was a bit of water in the container, but the logbook was nice and dry. What a fantastic little multi!
First coords spotted easily! We sat and enjoyed the view
At gz, we had a large chuckle!
FP awarded - we all walked out appreciating the simplicity of the cache that covered it all...the view, the laugh and the boomerang gif on Instagram!

Well, another day of filling in time between the earlier, but more civilized Flash Mob event and the later, but oh, so much earlier edition...
So AlphaDeltaIndigo, n0w0rries and I went off on the hunt. Probably far less finds than we might otherwise, but they were all high quality and there may have been hijinks involved. All up, a fun day and night.
Boy, am I glad we were in n0w0rries' beast rather than my little red car, as it's been a bit damp lately.
What a lovely, peaceful viewpoint, Jacko83. And a fitting tribute to a father-child relationship.
Loved the container.

Found with nirgalagrin and AlphaDeltaIndigo after attending the first of two flash mob events in Geelong.
ACE BRO!
You're quite right. The way in was an easy drive but I decided to exit to the highway. Glad we were in the GePrado.
Thank you for placing and maintaining this Regular geocache for us to find, Jacko83.

Got WP1 easily enough and then it was off to GZ. This was also found easily but it had about a cm of water in it. Fortunately all the plastic bags worked and the contents were pretty much dry.
Last find for the day for family Perpetuallylost after caching around Ocean Grove, Point Lonsdale and Queenscliff today. Well laid out steps led to an easy find at GZ in what Greatly be an interesting reserve during the seasons. Great concept for a cache Jacko, love seeing all your pics when out adventuring with the little fella on FB! Cheers
I have recently taken a redundancy after 29 years working for the same company. Now I have a few extra hours of free time while I take a short break before getting back into the workforce. I have decided to attempt multi month with that extra time. Given that today after a medical for my next income stream I headed down to the peninsula to find the multi's down here.
My third Multi for the day and a nice easy one. WP1 was a quick one and GZ was just quick.
Thank you Jack083 for the multi in honor of Ace!

Caching in and around the Queenscliff, we picked up a few caches in the area and this was one of them.
A straight forward multi and an easy find at GZ, cache and contents were in good condition.
Thanks for placing and maintaining this cache for our enjoyment.

Firstly, apologies for the lateness in logging.
Despite my tardiness, you can be assured I enjoyed each and every cache found and not found.
Apologies if this is a generic log, my memory is good, but not that good.
Was out for the day with 6hinemoa2, Sorceysal and Tess the geodog.
Thanks Jacko83, great container for your son

Out for a days caching with 6hinemoa2, bogonghazy and Tess. A very hot day, 37 deg, and after walking around the Nature Reserve, we were glad of a very shorter walks. Got the required numbers and at GZ were surprised to find a Jacko cache on the ground and not up a tree LOL. Loved the Grover container.
We spent a few hours on the peninsula today, tidying up a few unfound caches as we went.
This place brought back memories of the first time we found a cache here, but like you, we did not find the old container today.
The lake is sunburnt, not a drop of H2O in sight, but the area is still inviting. We admired the lovely swap that the previous cacher left here in a water-proof bag. Maybe the CO has time in the next few days to come back here, with Ace, to collect the treasure?!

Headed out today for a big day of caching. I learnt some important lessons from my caching journey yesterday that I rectified today:
1. Bring snacks
2. Bring water
3. Bring sunblock!!!! (I am horrendously burnt from yesterday even though I put sun block on before I left)
4. Bring a back pack
5. Calculate how many hours you plan to spend out then add 4
6. Download an extra audiobook so you have something to listen to
7. Bring things to leave behind for kids
With these things in mind (and in my back pack) I set off to queenscliff. Made about 15 quick grabs including picking up a couple of multis and mystery caches. Did some rock climbing and a few treks. Headed to point Lonsdale 5 hours later and picked up another few. Tired? Yes. Dirty? Yes. Wondering what the hell I’m doing spending a day looking for Tupperware in the bush? Yes! I often wonder whether this is a useful hobby to have but I guess it ticks the boxes; sunlight, exercise, socialising, problem solving, nature. Can’t be too bad - even if it does take time away from everything else I like to do.
Decided to grab this one on the way home. This is such a tucked away place. At first I didn’t think I was supposed to be here. Thanks to the CO for not including maths in this one! My brain could not handle any more of that today. This turned out to be a very quick find, much to my surprise seeing as I have struggled to find a couple of caches by this owner. Also thanks to the owner for introducing me to caching maybe my day would have been a bit more normal (ie not rock climbing and crawling through caves) but it sure wouldn’t have been as fun!
In the spirit of children, I decided this was the perfect cache to leave behind a goody. I have left my favourite kids book in a waterproof bag behind the cache. Whoever finds it is free to take it and read it. Maybe if you find a cache big enough one day you could pass it on
Today I learnt a lot: I suck at finding camo caches, more snacks are needed next time, I overthink a lot of caches and, most importantly, I really enjoy this! I also learnt a lot as I listened to a whole audio book about the brain while I was out for 7 hours. “The whole brain child”. A day well spent!
Tftc! Would never have been here otherwise.

Ahh I haven’t watched family guy in years. Anyway, what a great tutorial from the cache supplier. Very very grateful! Legend
I saw this isolated multi and thought it was ideal to do whilst I waited for the dinner event to come around.
A bit of effort to set this one up so thanks for that and of course the walk and view!
I'll be back, a little closer to the centre of Geelong to make some inroads on some of the COs other land based caches.
I hope the next finder pops along before this cache brcomes unloved. It was a close run thing this time around what with no finders in almost 5 months.

After attending the "Duck out of Water" kayak adventure first thing, then a paddle on Lake Connewarre I headed around the edge of the Peninsula in an anti clockwise direction with no real plan of attack, just finding what I could on the way back home. Only got rumbled once by and old lady you proceeded to assist the search, she was so excited with that find. Had a very plesant day and a much needed escape from the norm to clear my head and recharge. Thanks for the cache Jack083, Nice little multi on the way through. good to see you again today, sorry didn't get a chance to chat much.
Down at the beach for a few day's holidays and had a free afternoon to head off caching. This was the first stop and a nice little stroll along the short path to reach WP1. I'm glad all of these areas are preserved no matter how small they are. With the figures in hand I made the short walk back to gz taking in the views as I went and made the relatively quick find. Thanks for the cache Jacko83.
This cache, a touching tribute from a father to his first born son, was found today in the company of my younger two sons. Just as the novelty of geocaching has worn off for all my sons (and daughter) the novelty of parenting has also worn off for me. On the other hand the novelty of the sort of driving down from the north does not wear off.
Although the lake has plenty of water in it right now the satellite image shows a dry lake bed where the recession of the water has revealed some amazing prehistoric art. I will attach an edifying image to this log.
I had a look for the archived cache in the area but really can't remember where it was. Wearing shorts I was worried about snakes but the marks on my legs turned out just to be scratches from the bracken.

Well we have been here before and found the previous cache and really enjoyed the sunset from the seat , that is the photographer half of the team while MrT did the hard work.....I wasn't really into caching in those days! Today is another story , I'm totally hooked , so I certainly did my part in the search for the info and for the cache. A great little hide that is definitely tongue in cheek for Aysen as we both know he is an adorable angel .
Our guess is the hide was donated by The infamous mudbrick!
Cheers for the cache and the nice view.

Down this way doing a maintenance run so just had to check this guy out.
Second time at this location, the first for another multi that was buried from memory and had a quick look, could not find but it may have been picked up by the previous owner.
Gathered the required numbers and off to GZ but struggled for a couple of minutes and then there you are.
Of course well I will not say what happened next you will have seek out this guy for yourself.
I enjoy a cache that some thought and effort has gone into the placement and this happens here so well done Greg and another F.P. from me.

Two months of the year gone already! We set out, to tidy up a few missing smiley tokens between home and Anglesea. A feelng of de ja vu here Well Almost!
(Apologies for time and type of log, our computer had a total meltdown.)
Thanks Jacko83 for placing caches for everyone's enjoyment.

Suscoe was down on the Peninsular this morning with a bit of free time and so a stop here became possible.
A delightfully mild morning after yesterday and the bushland seemed happy. Little lizards were running across the track fairly regularly.
Got to the listed co-ordinates and soon found what we were looking for.
A sit and enter the co-ords was called for and it was a pleasant spot today for this task.
Off to GZ and the hide was soon found.
Very funny.
Pondered who it was that passed on this item and a few suspects came to mind.
Will let the CO know of our suspicions, always like a bonus point.
The little lizards were here too runing on the camo.
Well done Jaclo83, a nice cache for "Ace"
Keep reading those story books to him!!!!!!
Thanks from Suscoe for this multi in such a nice spot.
And no, there was no water in the lake today.

Had visiyed this area previously in search of the now archived cache where I found the two waypoints but like the CO of this had no joy at GZ. Today a very different result and a fun cache Thanks Jacko83
This cache popped up during the week so I got an unexpected 2nd to find here.
Place was deserted. Even the water had gone!
Nice easy WP and find as the mozzies had detected my presence
Thanks Jacko

Wow. Dozed off on the couch watching the 50/50 and received a notification. Still adjusting to jumping up so quick I was out the door in thongs. Arrived at the parking coords to see a vehicle but that was a couple of people enjoying nature, clipped my shoes onto my backpack not knowing what to expect from Jacko83. Made my way to wpt1 and surprised to see the lake empty, is it in the middle. Now off to GZ to make a find of a clean sheet [FTF] in the hopefully not well used container. Log signed and replaced as Found.
I can see Ace following in his Fathers foot steps, looking for knowledge and Adventure.
Thanks for the Multi Cache Jacko83
