Finishing the estuary circuit back to the car. Definitely worth the effort getting out to this track
25 April 2021 10:39 AM. Heading over to Doctors Point and hoping the tides are OK, they were (just). Diverted for this QEF, TFTC
On a three week trip to the lower South Island with tmann421 hunting caches.

Nice early morning walk.
Found on a quick afternoon trip to Waitati by train with Hevic. We'd decided to have a bit of a walk around and grab as many caches as we could before the train left again. Sadly that wasn't many, but it was still a good time. No problems at this spot, it was a bit muggly given the train trip but we found time to find and replace. Cheers!
This truly is an awesome spot on a day like today. We stopped here to sign the log and admire the mudflats. While we were sitting there a number of people and a friendly dog walked by, it's a well used boardwalk. Found with Debsnz. Thanks for bringing us here.
Out for a walk around Orokonui Estuary with Mrs Wilby. Thanks for all the estuary caches!
Covid-19 pandemic Alert Level 4 so no one should go caching, stay home, stay in your bubble, save lives.
Found with MrsC on our NZ travels from the UK. A day out from Dunedin, quick find, thanks.
The mudflats are great on this nice walk. Found with mr c on our travels from the UK thank you.
Found ok. Was hurrying as a muggle was coming. He pulled me up though and had a chat. A fellow cacher.
A great day for some caching so out down the bay to clean up port Chalmers area and over to Blueskin bay. Now certain walk through the Bush to this one. Nice and easy find and the last for the day. TFTC

Heading down to dunnas for the weekend to "cache up" with KJR making time to grab a few I would usually drive past ..quick find tftc
Thank you for this series we wandered around on a sunny afternoon, punctuated with straight forward finds. There was plenty of bird life on display today, our favourites were the pukeko and possibly parakeets. TFTC #66
Perfect day to walk the Estuary walkway and find the caches. Thanks for taking us here! TFTC
Waking the loop the the famdamly. Nice easy find although the string is not attached.
A nice day for a wander around the track, many thanks for the cache. - Bitsprayer
This boardwalk was one that I had no idea that it existed. A pleasant walk out on a sunny day. I'm surprised that the cache hasn't floated away during any heavy rain events.
Found on 8/09/2017.
A well engineered walk-way, but does it need to go further.

Easy find but knees very wet thanks to mud. But I guess that's why they are called mud flats! TFTC
Another beautiful Autumn day so off for a wee walk with KJR Senior since she had so much fun last weekend caching for the first time. This one is nicely hidden. Was a lovely walk around the Estuary. TFTC
Run the orokanui challenge today. A great run. Picked this up before I head home.
The mudflats were high and dry today and we were surprised by two horses grazing (along with their owner) just around the corner. A nicely hidden cache which had us stumped for a short while. TFTC
Last for the day after a nice wander round the Estuary track. Nicely hidden. Thanks for the company P&Vee and Vdh56 Tftc
Surprised but pleased to see a feature like this - good on the locals. It must look totally different when the tide is in.
Thanks

Lovely way to finish off our Geo caching adventure. Thanks for the day P & VEE, and 1sophie1:)
After waiting for the University students to move on, we could make the find. Found with debsnz
As we approached this one from the road a bus full of University students pulled up and headed along the board walk - so we stopped at an apple tree growing on the road verge, picked a couple of apples, walked along to the horse in the nearby paddock and fed it the apples while we waited for the students to move on. Found with AorakiSheep.
Took to the boardwalk for this one. Fame and fortune awaits, no only a cache!

Lovely morning for an outing and as the bike is in dry dock this weekend for some work it was a drive out to Waitati. Nice new boardwalk. First cache find with my six week old son. Pleased the cache wasn't beyond the boardwalk as although he has an "adventure" pram the track looked pretty boggy. Will return another time to complete the circuit as it looks like it could be a good "day walk". TFTC.
And so, out to the boardwalk. A cool breeze kept the walkers on the go, and I had to make a quick find here.
A quick FTF at 10.20 a.m. after a pleasant stroll over the shiny new boardwalk. Extracting the cache was a little tricky. Now to complete the circuit. TFTC
