We went there only to find an event on at . Maybe next time thankyou for bringing us over here
A lovely cloudy day to head out for some caching. I had arranged with Sol de lune before we were going to the Canberra Mega, that this week would be a good week to head out together and get some caches. So we headed out in the Geo Tucson, with some Easter eggs as snacks to try and get some caches between Ballarat and Geelong. This was the second cache for the day. We pulled up at a very neat looking school set in some lovely grounds. After a quick look around the cache was signed and returned. Thanks for placing this cache Cherad.
Out for a day trip with JTreeTrack2 and this was our next stop. All very quite here today so searching wasn't an issue. Soon hand the cache in hand and all was good. Thanks for another one Cherad...cache all good.
That took 5+ minutes with 4 of us searching. It took a few minutes for the map to follow where the phone was but once it did it took us to a consistent GZ and after a very short search we had the cache!! TFTC!!
This led us up the garden path for a while but a skilled eye soon spotted the hide. Tftc
Found It.......After a day in Ballarat we decided to grab a few caches on the way home. After pulling up at gz a quick search soon had the cache in hand and with the log signed we continued our journey homeward. Thanks Cherad for the cache
Popped past, had a quick look but the farmer was out mowing his paddock. Will come back when he’s not about
After attending the Franklins Bridge Reserve CITO, I headed further south to grab a few more caches before returning home. This one took some time to find. My GPS kept moving me around, but eventually I was able to spot the cache.
Thanks to Cherad for the cache.
Thanks to Cherad for the cache.
We have headed to Ballarat to attend doctor appointments and in our spare time head out to areas that we have not cached in to find the many geocaches that have popped up in the forest areas. Most of the roads were acceptable, some geocachers were on walking/bike riding section which hubby hiked on and I drove the car and would pick him up along the way. All geocaches were found and were in good condition. SL TFTC

Some good friends had decided to head to Ballarat for a few weeks so I decided I needed a break and joined them, we had a great time out caching as well as sharing stories and laughs around a meal or two. I really love the area of Ballarat there is so much history and I am sure it has the largest population of Oak trees in the Country.
This is one of the caches found today.
Some caches logged as RASP rebel acts &Ski pair.
Thanks Cherad for the cache.

It was great to be back in the area caching and catching up with my buddy Rebel Acts.
I had planned on being here for a few days but unfortunately, work got in the way again, so made the most of a sunny Sunday.
So many new caches online around Ballarat and Creswick since the last time I was up this way, and it's awesome to see some lab caches here as well.
This is one of the caches that I found on the day, cheers for the cache and the opportunity for a smile on the map.

With work encouraging us to take some holidays and Mr SKI having quite a few weeks up his sleeve it was time to take another short break and do some sightseeing and caching in parts of Victoria we seldom visit.
This time we decided it would be Ballarat. There is a wide variety of cache types and quite a number of Adventure Labs to do, so the area is quite attractive. And that doesn't include the historical and interest aspects as well.
We organized to meet up with some friends while there so we would have the opportunity to do some joint as well as solo caching.
We have already had some great adventures on a few challenging caches that generated a lot of fun and as usual always good to find some pre-solved puzzles.
All logs signed as SKI Pair, RASP (Rebel Acts & SKI Pair or SP depending on size of logs and availability of space.
Thank you for your efforts in creating and maintaining the cache Cherad.

Sunday afternoon and I just had to get out. It was all driving today. Which means I can turn the music up and enjoy the countryside around home.
Took me a couple of goes to spot this one. On previous visits there was large groups using the school or playground, so I chose to leave it. Today it still took a couple of goes, but that was becouse the GPS was bouncing around a bit and sterring me in the wrong direction. Well that's my excuse anyway.
Thanks for bringing me here.

Cache still in good condition. First find of that cache in awhile it seems. Lovely sunny day near the old school, a place I'd never have thought to look at if not for geocaching!
If I had trusted the GPS more this would have been an even quicker find. Thanks for placing these caches.
My first time out this way, on a cute lil adventure for the afternoon to get out of the house and enjoy some sunshine.
A beautiful landscape, thanks for bringing us here TFTC <3

After fighting off nasty biting ants and searching in all the "usual" places - there was no luck for us today. Will have to PAF and return to change the smiley
I love this area, such a cool little part of the world. Wifey was fooled by a curious cork finding this one!
We pulled up to this beautiful old school building. It is appears to be in immaculate condition, but we didn’t drive in to investigate further. Unfortunately the view from the road is spoilt by picnic shelter sheds out the front. The cache, as indicated in the cache description, was outside the school grounds. I took a few minutes to locate it despite there very being few places to hide anything this close to GZ. This time the eagle eyes of The _Evil_Muggle noticed it cleverly hidden in an inconspicuous spot at GZ.
There was quite a bit of activity at the old school/hall today. I was put off by the terrain rating and was looking way too high for the cache. At the last moment I checked the same area but more carefully and happily spotted what I wanted. I felt a little uncomfortable even though the group in the hall were inside.

Find #2227 for me. Found at 2:57 pm while visiting the area from Bendigo. Well, unlike the Garibaldi Bridge cache this wasn't in the Ballarat LGA but it was so close that I could hardly let it go un-found so it, too, became a target cache for me today. Once at GZ I made a quick find of the familiar container. Thanks for bringing me here this afternoon Cherad and thanks for the cache!
Found with teamashy. Rain has set in! Luckily a quick find not far from the car. Signed log and returned as found. TFTC

As we were approaching, we made the appropriate comments re the old school/church. Guess where the cache is, lol. Thanks for the cache and bringing us here.
Very windy here today. The cache was found but was all apart. Had to search for 3 parts ! Fixed up and replaced.
Almost finished for the day, this one had me stumped for a bit but eventually found the cache tucked away in its spot. TFTC Well done.

A great day to be able to get out and do some caching. Spring has sprung finally. The bush was alive with Wildflowers, birds and wallabies.
Great to see that this little gem is still being maintained and utilized.
Thanks cherad for the majority of the caches that were found today.

In Ballarat for a Tree Planting Event and grab a few caches with Simsfamily and Neviile Devil for a day of mayhem and laughter on a surprisingly warm sunny day.
The locating of the cache was made harder than it should've been with excuses of the sun was in my eyes, I looked there were banded around. Eventually it was spotted.

The day started with an early morning drive up the road from Geelong with Ausfox; and Neville_devil for the nearby by Tree Planting CITO after which we decided to try and make as many smileys as possible in the general area of Enfield.
I had a bad case of cache blindness on this one. Ausfox; eventually found it where I had already looked
Thank you Cherad for the smiley

With the hall having hosted geo kitten #1s 16th birthday over night what else should the morning bring but a smiley. Using the iPhone app it hovered between two possible locations however the camo was spotted and the find logged. Thanks Cherad.
Our first find on our Geochaching day. Out and about with Laconia. The sun is shining, but the wind is icy. Haven't done this for a little while so it took a little time to find this one. Log signed and cache replaced. TFTC.

What a crazy but wonderful weekend the lovely micaparamedic and I enjoyed . We even attended 8 out of the 15 Canada Day events across Victoria over the two days [^]. Oh my goodness there was so much laughter in the car (Gary was on fire! hahaha) [:o)] [^], many bowls of delicious hot soup (not only a comedian, he is also a great cook!) [^] AND I was able to be a passenger in my car, not the driver (wow he is even a wonderful chauffeur) [^] - a brilliant and fairly relaxing weekend indeed! [^] It works out we covered approximately 900+kms in Vic (plus driving to and from SA).
I LOVE geocaching!! [:X]

Found while attending the Christmas in July Garibaldi Afternoon Tea event. My phone gps was taking a while to settle on a location, and GeoHubby noticed some people over at the event waving their arms in a certain direction. Followed those directions instead of my phone and quickly found the cache!

Wandered over to find this one with some other cachers while attending the event. Great to read that the school is still being used. TFTC
Found by Mary & David at 1445. David took a couple of minutes off from the nearby Event to seek out this cache close by. His indicated GZ was only a few metres away from the cache, but it was enough to put him on the wrong side of the fence. However, some other cachers went the right way and found the cache quickly. Our thanks to Cherad.

Doh - this took way to long to find! Feeling silly!
After the pancake breakfast event I headed here with my kids, wozzle68 and the McAdies to do your new caches. We did the first batch (your new ones) with McAdies and then collected your older ones too minus McAdies who already had them. A lovely drive through the bush here - some stunning locations, great caches and a pleasant morning. Thanks so much for your efforts. Much appreciated!

The morning started at Maccas for breakfast to celebrate Canada day after which GemmaSistema and myself targeted the newest of these Enfield caches. Having already done the ones from earlier in the year this is where we parted company with team McAdies.

Suscoe and the Red Ant headed off nice and early today for an adventure to the Ballarat area.
It was a perfect day for caching with a coolish breeze and a bit of sun to keep things pleasant.
We had a bit of fun along the way and enjoyed a terrific day out.
What a beaut old building.
A quick find and we were on our way.
All quiet here today,.

The ageing Bushfire made a bad decision to cache in Ballarat today and not check on some of his caches that may need some maintenance and then find a few green squares that need to be changed into smiley faces down on the Bellarine Peninsular.
First there was the Meredith Folk festival and hundreds were leaving and being checked by the police at numerous locations and this really slowed things down.
My next problem was the Begonia Festival in Ballarat with a huge turnout for that event.
I then made a bad decision to grab as many caches in the new cemetery and did not know that they lock the gates at 5 o’clock and you guessed it I was locked in.
It took me 30 minutes to find a way out through the bush and then finally found a way out over a fence and through a private vacant block phew I could have been in here until the following morning.
Another problem I may have is a camera car as I was trying to find my way back to the Geelong Road.
Maybe I should have stayed home today.
This guy was not on my list to find today but as I was passing, well I just had to check it out.
Thanks Cherad for placing this cache.

We'd been caching further south this morning and because it was so busy on the roads, decided to detour through Ballarat in the hope of a quieter trip home.
We had swapped drivers earlier in Cressy and with Petal driving now, I thought it was a good idea for some off road tracks on the way. We managed three caches on the other side of the Park, which we knew, before making our way to Hanson Road, where we intended to drive east and out the other side. Once we were on Hanson, we picked off the caches as we came to them, eventually finishing at Garibaldi Bridge.
Thanks Cherad for the caches here in the Park and also this one.

An early start today with McLookers, who no sooner had stopped the geo car and spotted this cache all in a matter of 1 minute. A record? This area would be a great spot for community get togethers. Thanks Cherad for bringing us here
Our first find for today with Motndarg. What a great building and a brilliant community centre. Thanks for bringing us here today Cherad.
In the vicinity today to complete this new trail for Enfield Forest after I was here last week. Well done on all of them as they where readily found with good coords and the typical geocacher type hides. . TNLN TFTC Cherad. Logged at 4.45pm
