Had to take a photo to prove this find as it wasn’t possible to sign the log because it was ruined. Found this cache in place even though it’s inactive, because the container needs replacing. TFTC
3rd for the day. Found with Duppers even though it's a disabled cache. Evidence sent to CO.
Although this one is currently disabled we knew that it would be able to be found. We stopped whilst on the cycle trail from Petrie to Kippa Ring. We were doing a 2 day cycle trip from Mt G to Redcliffe return. We had a great weekend. Signed log and on we went in the rain. TFTC.
Geo ride with geo kids. Found by geo daughter. Logged completely soaked and container is broken. Definitely needs maintenance. Unable to sign log. TFTC.
After a morning of yakking out picking up a few caches and enjoying being outside.
It started with a few choice words about this type of hide. I have a rocky relationship with these caches. But then I stood back and took in the landscape. Oh - that doesn’t look like a natural pattern. Log signed and both the icon and my face are smiling. TFTC
After a lovely morning spent out on water
attending the 4 Mile Creek Bird watching Event, E_Smiley and myself decided to find a few land based caches before we went our separate ways.
In the process of doing some Stargate trads, this one was along the way so of course we had to stop for it. Thought this was going to be quite hard to find but thankfully it was in the first placed we looked.

Surprisingly a quick find here. A bit mushy and yucky on the way but once the SPOR was spotted, happy days!
Thanks for the cache and taking us here alydave123. Cache is dry but has holes.

This one we couldn’t find there was quite a bit of water still living in the rock bed here from the heavy rain last week and judging by previous logs wonder if this one may have washed away? I did get my feet wet having a thorough search but no luck...
The poor old container has seen better days, with holes in the sides. Luckily however the logbook was still dry so I guess the water doesn’t get this high. Out enjoying a lovely morning cycle with DisSister and collecting geocaches along the way.

Aiming to start the New Year with a nice round 4000 finds, I decided to pull the bike out and head out with La Kedi to collect all the caches along this bikeway. A nice variety of hides, some tricky, some straightforward and an enjoyable morning altogether. The plastic container has become quite brittle with holes and damage in several places but the log was still dry. TFTC alydave123
Started this series way back in January but due to the approaching afternoon storms we never made it to this cache from Petrie Station. In the back of mind is always the Challenge cache of 15 years without love and when I noticed that this urban cache had not been found for 9 months, I couldnt pass up the chance to make the special trip. Noting the area GZ was at, I had a particular type of container in mind. After searching for 10 mins and coming up with nothing I rethought my approach and made the find almost immediately. I am surprised that there has not been any action for this one for a while. This is such an awesome path along the train line and I have plans to take the kids on the ride from Petrie, all the way through to Redcliffe oneday soon. TFTC
What a beaut outing on a slightly cooler morning, ‘tho it warmed up by the time we returned to base Pedalled around 30 kliks with Beardman75 from Petrie station to Kippa-Ring and back. The trip east was punctuated by Stargates and a few side bites. Pretty sure I was running on Red Bull on the much quicker trip back Logged 21 finds, 6 + 1 bonus DNF Hope to be back on the bike to clean up the map

Ms Maddy and I met up at Petrie Station for a ride to Kippa Ring and some caching along the way. It was overcast and cool when we started at 8am but quite sunny and warm by the time we arrived back at Petrie Station around 1pm. We found 21 caches and unfortunately DNF'd 6 caches but it was a fun morning out and the muffin at the turnaround point was well earned. Thanks for the cache
Out on foot on a mission to get my 300th cache, hot day but a cool breeze at my back helped TFTC
Around the fence I went and started to check a couple of spots, but decided where I thought it could be would be washed away there, so I started to search a little bit further up and located the cache. TFTC
Decided to jump on my scooter after parking on Dohles Rocks road to tackle the caches towards Petrie along the train line. Time to hunt down the rest TFTC.
Find #2209 at 17:55 after a brief search.
Seems an odd choice for a hide here, I'm actually quite surprised that the cache is dry inside.
Thanks for the cache, alydave123.

Out for a cycle along the MBRT to Petrie and picked up 4 geocaches along the way. This was the first find today. After a few minutes of searching the container was located, the logbook signed and returned to its hiding spot.

Met up with Mr and Mrs Duck at this spot. They were rather anxious to know what we were doing but it was a quick find and we soon left them to their afternoon rest.
It was great to read about the history of this area before we went to find the geocache. It’s hard to imagine 10,000 students here on campus! We found the container safe and dry, signed the log and were on our bikes again.
Thanks

Hidden Creatures Find #93 - Today is the last day to get the World Turtle, so I am hitting the Petrie to Mango Hill bikeway to finish off the Hidden Creatures event. My iPhone GPS had me walking around in circles! Eventually I just stood back and scanned the rocks and spotted a possible place - and there it was. TFTC
Approaching this one I thought it was going to be much harder than it turned out to be. Thank goodness I was wrong.

Doing ok with time, I decided I'd head over this way and grab a few caches from this end before I ran out of time/light.
Seeing what type of hide this was may have elicited a groan from me thinking I'd be looking for a bit here. There was no need tho as the cache was found directly on approach.
Thanks for the cache alydave123.

This was a dead easy find, as GZ was obvious from the start. I really enjoyed the quick bush bash though, and loved the hide. Well done DJ, again.
After work i was meeting my regular bike riding friend but she was sick so i decided to collect a few smiley's along here. great way to unwind after a busy day. thank you for placing this cache here for us to enjoy
We are parked up at Lawnton Showgrounds while we arrange to have a new caravan built, today we took our bikes for a ride along the bike path from Petrie - it's great to have a nice quite area to cycle.
We found all but one of the caches we visited and had a lot of fun.
thanks for a wonderful afternoon of geocaching.

Out riding with hubby from Kipparing to Petrie. Made it all the way with 22 finds, a handful of dnfs and one rather spectacular fall from my bike.
Nice quick find here.

Out for the day caching with Roger of rbutto. Not sure where the paper mill was but it didn't deter us from finding the cache. TFTC alydave123
Thought this would give me grief as I walked up and seeing so many rocks! However the hide stood out and was quickly signed. TFTC
I have had the caches in this area on my To Do list for some time but they are too far way from home to just duck out and find a few so I have not done any of them until today.
I didn't pick a good day for strolling along concrete paths as it was a scorcher and i had started at 11am.
I had parked at Kallangur Station and caught a train to Mango Hill and worked my way back to Kallangur and then caught another train to Petrie and then walked back to Kallangur. The heat was getting to me by the time I finished.
The hiding spot seemed to stand out from the rest of the area which made it a quick find.

Out for my daily cache and I find im having to go further and further out but while Im out and about running errands such as today, I pick one up that is close. When I approached I was worried at how the surrounding area may flood my phone took me directly to gz and to my surprise and delight it was a totally dry logbook and cache Even got to see a group of ducks waddling around. Nice cache guardians TFTC
Found it. Nearly walked away when I read the Rockbed hint. But this was found quickly. Tftc.
I took a bike ride from Kippa Ring to Petrie grabbing a few caches along the way. This one thankfully was a quick find. TFTC!
As the phone was counting down on the bike I spotted a likely hiding spot and pulled the tushy pushy in for a rest. I tooled around for a bit before checking again and I was still 10m away. Geo-senses had gone off prematurely.
With the hint in mind, I started the process of elimination and degaustation. At first I searched the wrong side and then gracefully leapt over the water to check the other. A few rocks got kicked today and I apologise to them.
Finally the right rock was located and I almost picked it up and gave it a kiss. I'm not sure what the technical name for a rock-fetish is, but I have it (bad). tftc

It was such a beautiful Sunday - perfect weather for Geocaching - so we headed out to find as many of the Stargate trail as we could. This one was along the walk so we did it as well. We had better luck with this one than the previous one with rocks and found it quite quickly. TNLNSL TFTC
Was out caching with my mum today.
Was a lovely day for a walk along this new bike path. This was our first find for the day as we were too busy talking that I missed our planned first stop.
Cache was quick spied as a little corner was exposed.
Log signed and replaced as found.

Visiting from the Sunshine Coast to do some of this power trail to break the daily record for my birthday. Excited to use my new Garmin gps and slowly figuring out how to use it.
I remembered the paper mill from my school days living in this area and was interested to hear that the university closest to my new home is building a campus close to my old home.
Found the rocks and soon enough the cache was located. Nice grassy slope to sit and sign the log - feigned resting for a drink when muggles passed.
Took 3 apple thing, left blue trash monster can.

Visiting geo-son and decided that this new rail line needed our biking attention. Slight deviation from the rail trail. Took a little longer than it should have.

**# 16952** Found on the start of our 2017 winter escape trip.
A nice dry Autumn day for a walk and drive around on the Stargate series with Team Benders.
Found this one just before we started on the trail.
Not many muggles around at some spots and mostly not too difficult hides.
Thanks for the cache alydave123,

A quick find whilst on the new rail trail for a walk with Selva Girls. Lots of ants made this a quick retrieve and return! Tftc alydave123
Today I decided to apply some physical exercise, and a 60km bike ride covering about 6 and a half hours and 36 smileys (of potentially 38) sounded like just the ticket to me. A good day in the saddle.
Thanks for placing this cache, alydave123. Found in good condition.

T-Tech and I took a ride today to gather the nearby Stargate caches, and this one just happened to be on our way. Of course we stopped to grab it as well.
The ground was pretty soggy, but we were able to get to GZ and make a quick find. I noted the TB. TFTC, alydave123.

Out for a brisk walk after all that wet weather. Grabbing smilies. Our No. 5 today as we found incidently Dohles Rock Railing whilst deactivated. Tftc
After failing to find a previous cache under the "obvious" rock I was a bit worried about this one. I am not enthused about turning over a heap of random rocks to find a cache.
This one was not like that though. It was pretty obvious where the cache was. [^]
Left a TB here.
