Today we headed out to The Ponds and Kellyville Ridge, catching a 280 bus to Chatswood and a Metro train to Tallawong Metro Station, then walking down to Ironbark Lake. After doing a lap of the lake’s circuit pathway, and collecting a couple of Adventure Lab stages along the way, we next walked to Peel Reserve and then followed the pathways down along Second Ponds Creek. After that it was a walk through the backstreets to Windsor Road and up to Rouse Hill Metro Station for our return journey homeward. Collected a MultiCache, a few Adventure Lab stages, and numerous Traditional caches during the trek. This was the 4th of 12 finds for the day.
After doing a lap of the Ironbark Lake pathway, and collecting a couple of Adventure Lab stages along the way, this was the next cache we came to. I took a hit for the team by battling down through the spikey thistles and farmers friends on a solo mission to reach GZ, while the rest of the team watched from above. At GZ the hide was quickly spotted and I soon had CIH. TNLNSL, and then replaced the good quality robust cache container as it had been found.
The log sheet was a little damp inside it's nicely themed internal container, but otherwise all was OK with the cache, and we can see no reason why this cache should remain disabled. TFTC Blundo Busters.

A straightforward find after spending much of the day hopping on and off the North West Metro in search of smilies. I had to tread carefully though as thistles are out in force on the approaches to GZ but luckily, no farmer's friends ... yet!
Thanks for the hide Blundo Blusters.

First find out of COVID lockdown with a Ally n Ruth. It even had one of my Geocache info cards in it!!! TFTC
Out with morty8888 for some more caching; today around The Ponds in the rain.
Once on the right level amongst the farmers friends morty8888 soon had the container.

A rainy day for caching but that didn't stop Oldmorty and I heading to the Nth West for some GPS searching. Oldmorty went high and I went low. Soon spotted a SPOR and signed a lemon and took lemon coloured trackable. TFTC!
TFTC Thank you for hiding this cache. You have shown us a new place and have helped make geocaching an enjoyable activity.

This was the sixth of 6 finds for the day. After finding ‘Philosopher’s Stone’, Mizmaz and I continued our trip around The Ponds to collect caches the other hadn’t yet found. This particular cache was on my unfound list and so Mizmaz helped locate GZ for me. Whilst this was easy from the higher level, it was more difficult to access the cache from the correct level. The terrain was overgrown and so it was difficult to find a way in. Once happening upon GZ at the correct level, I checked the hint and then had to navigate the length of the shelves until I noticed some odd camo. SLTNLN. TFTC.

Darn it, too good for me. So many options and I think I searched them all but no dice. Cold wet and filthy, I decided to call it a day. Tfth.
After doing some maintenance on my one nearby decided to head across and grab this one. Interesting cross country treck. Log was damp but serviceable. Dropped a TB I have had for too long. TFTC.
And here we are. It is 2022, and after moving my life half the world away to Australia, discovering that Geocaching there without my friends was not as fun, generally trying to survive Australian fauna and flora and finding a job, only doing Geocaching on occasion during 2019, and then the pandemic hitting in 2020 and putting almost a complete halt to all traveling and finding, plus finally coming back to Europe to try and redo my life here this year… I have decided to sit down and log online all of the records I had gathered offline during these years. Some are lost forever (don’t trust your phone for years on end with offline logs), but hopefully I will manage to recover enough logs to paint a few broad strokes of what these years were, and the places they took me to.
Apologies in advance to all owners for this (in some cases, very) delayed logging. I can only say that sometimes we are not in the best place, and it takes time to find oneself. Thanks in advance for the hides, the places you took me to, and the stories you shared in the way.
----
Pandemic is going crazy, we now seem to be able to go for local walks, so I take the chance to try and do a cache a day for a little while, to get me used to walking again. It has been a few terrible months, and we are only in the thick of it.
Thanks for not disabling these, as they helped to keep me sane these weeks.

Today I decided to try out the new metro line! And rode it all the way to Tallawong, from where I set out to hunt a few caches. Great day for a walk.
And I got a bonus while searching for this cache. A saxophonist was perched on a seat not far away giving a full concert to the bushland fauna and flora. No one else around. He was good!
Thank you, Blundo Busters

Out for a few caches which have gone down since we were here last. Took nothing left nothing, Cache all good, good coordinates. TFTC
There were not many muggles in the area when we arrived with ilook4geo, so we followed the GPS and made our way to GZ easily enough. Did as the hint instructed and found what we were looking for easily enough. Some more names were added to the list of finders and all was put back into place. Everything was in good order. Our thanks go to Blundo Busters for placing this cache.
Just picking up some local caches a couple at a time to keep the streak going. Found this one after heading straight to GZ. Good co-ords. Log was signed and all replaced as found. TFTC.
Found the lemon. Favourite point from me. Had me thinking and looking. And I found a BB cache!! Goal of the day achieved!! Thanks Blundo.
I came out to The Ponds this morning for some caches. This was the first stop.
I parked the geomobile in Greenview Parade and walked round. Something interesting attracted my attention. After several minutes of inspection I decided I was at the wrong structure and went for something else.
That proved successful as the cache was soon discovered and the log signed.
No one has been here for quite some time and all is in good condition.

Meeting cancelled, meant to be day off anyway, so I went for a walk and found 7 caches, this the seventh. More than just a lemon. TFTCBB.
Exciting find as always. Signed the log and left a shell for the next adventurer. Grabbed our first trackable too. Can’t wait to find a new home for it.
Out geocaching with the family, we needed to pick up Harry Potter TB from here to be able to defeat the Dark Lord.
Clear hide, was originally looking for what the title hinted at but that was well hidden too. Grabbed TB, signed and returned back to its hiding place.

After two weeks of next to no geocaching, and sitting so close to a "mini" milestone, with a solution to a D5 puzzle cache in hand, I needed to make the relevant finds to achieve the milestone.
---
This cache contained the TB required to complete the D5 puzzle cache I had planned for my "mini" milestone. Approaching GZ and my phone pointed me out into the bush, but it just didn't make sense given the clue. Also, which level was really the correct one?
Having pondered a couple of options, I decided to change my perspective, and came across a geotrail in a location I didn't initially suspect, but following said trail led me to the general area. With a clue that now made sense, which one? The phone GPS soon settled and we had CIH.
We signed the log (an interesting container) and have discovered one resident and Geowife took the other for our D5 puzzle.

The following TBs and Geocoins helped with the search to find the hidden cache:

Like to round off a full day’s run with an even number so needed one more to make today’s tally of 20 finds just before the sun set completely. Also needed a sizeable cache within a certain radius to drop off a trackable being used in another series as soon as possible. This one en-route to my accommodation for the weekend, fit the bill all round.

Out on a caching run to capture 13 geocaches to complete the Hidden Creatures promotion and gain my World Turtle souvenir. This was the 7th find for the day. I really liked the container for this one. I tend to use them myself. I really wasn't sure about the cache name. Did it have something to do with the nearby sculpture? All was revealed when I opened the cache. Nice one BB. Thanks for placing this cache and adding to my global geocaching adventures.

Found during a short bike ride with geoson around Peel Reserve. Back after a 2 year caching hiatus, it didn't take us too long to make the find despite the coordinates being a little out, geoson was dissapointed there were not more swaps in the cache, we'll have to return and add a few another time. SL TFTC BB!
Decided to do a few caches with Trodectus to see what creatures pop up. #2 for the day, walked to GZ and started searching. T spyed something out of character away from GZ. After looking at new location, quickly had CIH. Unit had me 16 metres from GZ which is unusual for a BB cache. Log signed and returned. TFTC
Found with Coybear2000 while out for a walk around The Ponds. We arrived at GZ and started searching. We'd had an idea of where the hide might have been and after some fruitless searching we went back to this idea and had CIH. We put the hide about 15m away. TFTC.
Tagged along on a cache run with Team Merlin. With the coordinates we searched GZ widening the search area we finally locating the cache. With the cache in hand we signed the log then replaced as found. Both the cache container and log are in good condition. TFTE Bluno Busters
As others have mentioned it was about 10m off, but there was really only one logical place for it to be. Nice big cache. TFTC
On another cache run collecting finds for the [Hidden Creatures](https://www.geocaching.com/play/souvenircampaign/hiddencreatures) mythical creature souvenirs guest. After parking the car nearby we walked down to GZ and searched around not finding anything. Walked about 10m closer to the wall and spotted something of interest, which on further investigation resulted in a find. With the cache in hand we signed the log then replaced as found. Both the cache container and log are in excellent condition. Thanks for the cache Blundo Busters.

I liked this cache, it was a good size for swaps, but sadly we couldn't swap because we forgot the geobag. I also liked going offroad to find it. TFTC.
Nicely hidden, good spot for it. We got some good exercise because we rode our bikes there. I liked the name of the cache and the container. TFTC.
Yahoo number 200 find for us on this one. Took a while to find as our coord were about 15 off. But thanks for the geo
Darted over here from Ponds Blvd and was sweating in the heat by the time I arrived at GZ. The GPS accuracy quickly dropped off as I focused on the proper elevation. After my heart rate skyrocketed from searching through 'snake country', I read a few of the previous logs and quickly realised where I needed to be. A few steps back, I spotted something different. CIH. Nice camo, SLTNLN. TFTC BB!
Parked the geobeast about 200m from GZ and stepped out and could feel my thongs melting on the bitumen on this 40* day, so quickly cross over to GZ and GZ had me in amongst the trees. Umm! Ok! I read some previous logs and changed tact and searched the most obvious and soon had cache in hand. Nice camo with this large size cache and had a little giggle upon opening. Did the legals and replaced as found. TFTCM

A new *Blundo Busters* cache. I don't know if I should be excited or afraid!
Decided to have a go at it, as well as a few other previous *BB* DNFs.
In the end, the new one was a quick find, and of the DNFs, one was a long DNF, one was muggled out and one was a long find.
Hey, at least I'm making a little headway...
###END OF CUT AND PASTE SECTION###
Nice and easy. Even with the coordinates pointing 10 metres or so away.
Pity the camo is already in 2 pieces.
Completed signing duties and replaced, then back to *The Hademobile - so hot out.
