Adding our name to the DNFs. We had a good look both on our outward and return journeys on both sides of the track but came up with nothing.
Not such a peaceful place for us today! The bubbling stream was lovely but the gorse and frequent cries of 'ouch' made it less peaceful that we would have hoped. If the cache is here it eluded us today.
the only one of the day I didn't find, lots of potential hint areas to search, I thought I found a very good hiding spot but no cache there, lots of gorse around and I didn't want to get too scratched up so continued on my way, thanks anyway
Track is not so good here so a bit slower going for us on the slog up the final hill to the car. Careful look around and woolwood9 soon found the container.

Found while on a walk in the Belmont Regional Park with tmann421 today.
Has been a very interesting track with many things to see.
Thoroughly enjoyed the area
Beautiful afternoon made a good excuse to do another caching trail through Belmont Park. Quite surprised that I didn't see anyone else for the whole afternoon!
Got a few scratches retrieving the cache, but not too bad

Nice spot. After a longer than needed search of several prickly spaces found. Dropped off TB 563407
My second cache of the day, in my attempt to get my year's find rate back up. Had to look at a few hint objects before I found the one I was looking for, but didn't take too long. A good start to the day! Was nice and peaceful (apart from the flock of geese honking away further up the hill) but I had a long way to go so I didn't hang around. TFTC.
Cache # 4,206 - Just a very light drizzle threatening in the air as I descended on the Kilmister Track yet again. Having spotted this cache several times before, today was the day to grab it. The track seems to be getting worse, probably made so by the heavy horse traffic on it. Cache was a quick find after the 4th river crossing, and all well within it. TNLNSL. TFTC!

I came up here for a drive after dinner. I asked the kids if they wanted to tag along but none of them were interested.
I have run along this track many times before and in all kinds of weather. Thankfully it was lovely and sunny this afternoon because it can be a bit gloomy when the cloud comes in.
The cache is in good condition. All nice and dry.
Thank you

I had walked this track earlier in the day to find some caches, before the Event in Upper Hutt in the afternoon. This area was on the edge of my Wellington pocket query, and I was frustrated to have missed six caches up in the top corner. Thanks jefraser for the cache.
Just as well my machine liked the coords because there are lots of places that satisfy the hint A bit wet inside the container but log good thanks TFTC
Thanks for bringing us this way. Too many of these tracks are open paddocks or roads.
11:28. It is indeed! Several possibilities here which fitted the hints, found in the second place examined. Tftc
Another lovely evening and another slightly longer walk than the last one. Quick find where all good at GZ. Great coords! Thanks for another smilie.

Thanks to the Cache Owner who has gone to the trouble of creating this cache, determining the coordinates and then averaging them to make sure they are accurate, placing the cache and registering it online for our enjoyment. Without Cache Owners doing their bit, there wouldn’t be a fun hobby that we all love - so again a big THANK YOU. For our bit, all we need to do is find and log the cache that was carefully placed for our personal enjoyment. As we log it we should consider that the Cache Owner also needs to maintain it - when the log sheet fills up, they must replace it. When the container becomes full of water, they need to empty it. When the container is broken, they need to repair it. When it goes missing they need to find or replace it. Well..... the great news is we can do our bit too - make sure your log doesn’t take an entire page - just a name and date. If full of water, empty and dry the cache as best as possible. Be careful when handling the cache and make sure you replace it where you found it. If it has a bag, seal it. Just remember - the Cache Owner showed respect to you by placing the cache - please respect them and fellow cachers that follow you by being careful with the cache. And if you have a spare log sheet and the cache you are at needs one, please leave it behind. Finally, if the cache does need maintenance, please let the Cache Owner know - you can log a Maintenance Log or you can drop a line to the Cache Owner. Above all - have fun and remember the Geocaching Code. .

Having got out of the open farmland a bit the landscape is a bit more interesting now. There's quite a nice oasis here so I put my backpack down for a bit of break only to discover the cache was right next to me. TFTC.
Nice quick find, after a roundtrip along the Ridge Track and back again.
Lovely sunny day to be up in the hills, and down here next to the stream was Peaceful as the cache-name suggested, and quite warm. Spring really does appear to be here!

#4316. I decided this afternoon that I needed to do a walk and pick up a few more caches before I head off on a work trip up north. The Belmont Hills beckoned in the calmer weather. So headed up to this road end. Before I left home I thought this path would be an uphill slog. So was quite surprised to see it was following a stream down a valley. Well the "track" was a bit diffuse at this stage so just followed the creek down and the easiest goat track. At my first creek crossing I made a botch of it. I noticed that I had a hole in my gumboot and not wanting to get my socks wet I stepped on a rock to avoid the creek. But the rock may as well have been a sheet of ice covered in grease. Before I realised I was plunging toward the stream and had all my longs from the knee down fully immersed and a good splash on my jersey as well. Last night was the coldest night in NZ in two years and the creek felt just as cold! Anyway I stoically sloshed away in my wet longs and gumboot for the next hour. Idiots are born, not made. After sploshing around for a minute or so I read some past logs and put in huhugrubs coordinates. Crossed the creek and there was the cache. Signed the log and replaced where found. Thanks for the cache jefraser.
Splash splash, squelch is the order of the trail today. Glad Mrs TT wore old shoes, feet well and truly wet by now. Cache found all nice and dry. TFTC
Decided to walk the track today given the weather is meant to pack up for a few days. A quick find in a nice spot. All in order. TFTC
Second find of the day on a mountain bike "ride" to collect the Kilmister caches. Only had the last 4 logs and one referred to updated coords in an earlier log we did not have access to so after a fruitless search tried the other side of the stream and quickly found it.
Cache no. two in an enjoyable afternoon walking the track. Beautiful sunny day with only a gentle breeze to keep the heat from building up to much. I was taking the "low road" and enjoying the stream crossings while Yeetrees was taking the "high road" and keeping his feet dry.
A straightforward find on the track down from the car park. Feet already wet from crossing the stream, so I guess that will set the pattern for the day!

I really like this part of the track, it has some small dipping holes which I've taken advantage of on hot summer days. Very 'private' too.
Found the cache on my way back from the Gorse Alley cache and a little weary. Looking forward to getting to the car.

I was aware of this track but had never walked it. This evening was a good time to make a start and I was pleased to see it was a varied journey which was most enjoyable. It took me a few minutes to find this treasure.
Found on my way back to the car. Meet up with a young lass on a horse here. Had a chat gave the horse a pat and we went our separate ways. All very nice. TFTC
Stopped here this morning on the return walk from "The Third Way" back to the Hill Road carpark. I used huhugrub's coordinates which were very accurate and managed to find the cache within seconds in the first place checked. Signed log, TFTC
#8993. {FTF} at 07:17. Good to have another enjoyable walk in Belmont to this peaceful place. The track was all quiet at this time. There were quite a number of potential hiding places here, and had to widen the search area somewhat. Eventually found it just 4 metres away. The cache was in excellent condition, all nice and dry inside.
