Nice drive up here, and after finding the geocache I treaded a bit further to enjoy the views.
Skyhooks came on the scene much later in my life so Im not familiar with this song. But I do know this cache is not there. Its definitely here on the island, for weirdobiker was the clever locater of it, for the VIIPERS ink to grace the log. Thanks Slow Puncture for placing the cache here, and endeavour3 for maintaining it, to add to the fun of our groups adventure ~ Val, Ian, Icy, Pam, Evelyn, Ronice and Sylvia (who is probably home listening to music whilst nursing her broken bone).
Certainly not found in Sydney. A nice quick and easy find on a beautiful sunny day. Signed as VIIPERSFound by Weirdobiker. Thanks for the cache.
A group of geocaching friends consisting of Val (cybergran V), Ian (half of the team Riddell) Ian (icybeetas) Pam (weirdobiker) Evelyn (SciFiRulz), Ronice (Ronice88) and Sylvia (half of team Riddell) are touring Norfolk Island with the aim of finding every cache here. This was a quick find of a cache in good condition and the log signed as Viipers to save space. Thank you Slow Puncture for placing it and endeavour3 formaintaining it as it enhanced our visit to this beautiful island.
Found by the VIIPERS. There may not be snakes on Norfolk Island, but now there are VIIPERS. We are V(al Cybergran V) I(an icybeetas) I(an Riddell) P(am weirdobiker) E(velyn SciFiRulz) R(onice Ronice88) and S(ylvia Riddell who is with us in spirit.)This one was spotted by weirdobiker. It's definitely not in Sydney. TFTC
A group of caching friends are visiting from the mainland and enjoying the scenery while caching. The log was signed as team (viipers) who include cybergran V, SciFiRulz, Riddell, Ronice88, icybeetas and myself.
Who remembers the Skyhooks? I do I do! An early morning find for those of us on a multi mission. Glad my muggle buddy loves the long history celebrated on Norfolk so here we are. And for me its like Norfolk has been a myth or has at least has been in the imagination mirrored by faded school lessons for so longnow the dream to visit Norfolk Island is real! The holiday suddenly looks busy busy with a schedule of tours, events and 70+ caches to find. From the first step on the island everything has been fabulous. Cache found quickly and logged as VIIPERS - a crew of caching buddies from Vic and Tassie ( who include cybergran V, SciFiRulz, Riddell, icybeetas Weirdobiker) TFTC and the fun.
We came down here just because we liked the name of the road, and without an Internet connection, we werent really targeting any particular caches today, but when we drove within 40 m of this one, of course we had to stop and then I saw who had hidden it! Fancy meeting you here! After Avar bravely found the geocache I wouldnt have looked because of the number of spiderwebs in the vicinity we headed down to the end of the loop to look at the magnificent blue of the sea. Although theres not a lookout as such, it was still quite a spectacular sight. TFTC, Slow Puncture (LJCC). =^.^=
About to sign the log when a small car pulled up with a familiar face inside. Finally caught up with Sorceysal and friend whose also been caching here!Beautiful place, thank you Slow Puncture (LJCC) for placing this game piece here, showcasing this lovely area and contributing to this great game for myself and others to enjoy. Happy trails!
All good here.Take a walk to look out the sea.Magnificent scenery Saw whales out thereTFTH
Beautiful views, though the rockpools look a bit treacherous to swim in. Log is full and slightly damp. Kind of made a mark but can provide photo of hide if needed. TFTC
We spent a fun and productive week geocaching on Norfolk Island, as well as seeing the spectacular views. We also did several tours and other activities on offer, which highlighted different aspects of the island life and history. Thanks for this cache.
Found during a week of geocaching on Norfolk Island with GeoMates. It was a successful week and an adventurous one. Thanks go to Slow Puncture (LJCC) for placing this cache.
(12 of 21 today - including 5 Adventure Labs)A lazier morning for some in our group, but I hit the trails to clean up a few missed caches (5 for me) in the island's north with **Jackscruff** before teaming up with the rest of the Woof Patrol (**Calypso 62**, **Goldberry17**, **FunFurMe** and **creativechookie**) for the afternoon's finds - mostly in the south east quarter - totalling 10 plus the ALs. In between the two I visited the Settler's Museum. Wish I'd had longer, but just had time to get around all the exhibits before joining everyone for lunch.###END OF CUT AND PASTE SECTION###Should have spotted this quicker than I did. But got there in the end.Another spectacular coastal view. and another cache nearby is one of our targets tomorrow.SLTNLNTFTC
Interesting, I once saw Skyhooks at the Horden Pavillion, now that's somewhere in Sydney. I even still have some of their records. Loved their music. We visited Two Chimneys Reserve this afternoon. It seems to be surrounded by the, shall we say more upmarket homes on the island. I wonder if they can see Sydney on a good day?In the shadows this one blended into the camouflage well and a couple in our group made harder work than they should have spotting it in the late afternoon light. After finding this one we walked down to the reserve, very nice. We checked out the track to Show Me the Lights, hmm maybe we won't get to that. (Update, local cacher endeavour3, helped us make the trek the next day and thus complete the Se Dun challenge.)TFTC # 6066
Found with WaywardWoman and oldmorty.Quick find before lunch in the sun in Two Chimneys Reserve.Ventured downhill to GA26749 - Australias first sun. Thanks to the CO for the cache.
#7511- Out caching with frazeydaze and oldmorty. Another easy find along the way on our travels today. Coming back to the car I noticed the tyre had lost a lot of air since the morning. Dropped in to the friendly car rentals to find it had a screw in it. While it was fixed we partook in a nice arvo tea at the local cafe across the road. Fixed in no time and we were on our way again.
OCW frazeydaze and WaywardWoman. A quick find before venturing beyond the end of the street wwe found a nice park to have lunch. TFTC.

#14396 9:00Our second full day on Norfolk Island and together with 4Rods, Brewmaker, Everest High, Cryptic8, Tardis and MaxAdventurer we drove our small cars to the end of Two Chimney road. We are far away from Sydney, in a nice park with more great views over the island. This cache was also the starting point for the walk to another great cache which turned out to be a bit more invigorating than this one.TFTC Slow Puncture.

T-Tech and I are visiting Norfolk Island for our 40th anniversary. We arrived from Brisbane and are staying for 2 weeks at Endeavour Lodge, and plan to get some R&R, see all of the sites, learn the history, and gather every cache here so we can claim the Se Dun Challenge Today we are heading east again as there are a few solved puzzles to be collected. Having parked up nearby and geared up for the big walk, we made sure to collect this cache before we set off. A nice quick find. TFTC, Slow Puncture.

# 8948 Norfolk Day 3, team "Dem CBR" myself, iPlod65, Joolay, barb2e and contesta had another fantastic day of caching and exploration. We started down at Kingston with our host for the morning: Endevour3. It was cool and very blustery today, but not enough to discourage us. Then it was off to east coast to grab some more difficult caches. Lots of climbing today, but always stunning destinations. Finally off up to Captain Cook Pt for a couple of amazing spots.A bit high up for some cachers, but got it.Some logs signed collectively "Dem CBR".Thanks Slow Puncture (kindly maintained by Endeavour3) for the Traditional Cache

On holiday in Norfolk Island with StrangeTrousers. Beautiful Island. TFTC signed as DEM CBR
During July my wife and I took a break from Melbourne and spent a wonderful week on the Island - the first time for me (but hopefully not the last) and the second for her. Such a delightful place! I took my GPSr, with the traditionals downloaded (I don't really make the time to do puzzles or multis) and figured I would find a few as we went around the place. I never had any intention of finding all 41 of them, but somewhere around day 5 I realised it was actually feasible.
In the end it was a close call - one quite tough-to-get-to cache (Bird Island) I had to visit twice after not reading the description before my first visit and discovering it is really a multi and then stuffing up the calculations so I had an almost blind search for the cache; another (St Barnabas) was out of its hidey hole so took three visits before I found it among some fallen leaves nearby). But I got there and managed to claim them all.
In the interests of saving the limited data on my phone, I only look placeholder drafts during the week and am completing them back home, a month later. So with all due apologies, they are going to be pretty generic for the most part. But I will add comments about those that I particularly remember. No matter how detailed the final logs, I want to say a big thanks to those who have placed the caches and those who continue to maintain them. I had great fun finding them and they really helped make sure I saw as much of the Island as possible. So - a big and sincere TFTC

The second last cache to find to claim every traditional on the Island! I had visited this spot a few days before while on a very enjoyable tour of local private gardens but didn't have a chance to look then. With my time fast running out I made short work of searching out the cache and fortunately made a very quick and easy find. One last (potentially unfindable) cache to go!

A quiet day on the island for Mrs. Gunnie and I today, so it was over to the winery to taste the offerings and grab some wares to take home. While over that was, we drove to the end of the road to take in the sights from another angle and aha, an icon popped up on the map.
I pulled up not too far away, nipped in to GZ where the cache swiftly came to hand. I left my mark in the log, tucked it back in place and carried on.
Cheers Slow Puncture and endeavour3 once again for you tireless maintenance efforts.

Our second full day on NI and wedecided to find the caches on the East side. This was our second find for the day. Thanks for bringing us here and TFTC
Weird - we had been out here earlier in our trip for something else (not what you think), and we didn't even register there was a cache here. Anyway, focussed on it this time and found quite quickly. Anyway, nice hide, thanks.
In good condition. What a neat place to find without caching would never have ventured here. Tftc
Nice opportunity to get my hands dirty. Thank you to the cache owners for leading me to this beautiful spot.
Thank you for taking us to this peaceful picnic spot. It’s so hot today that the shade of the trees was appreciated. TFTF.
Found with ease. Our first of hopefully many caches here on Norfolk. And my last for 2022. Bring on the new year.
Took a while to find (30 min) but with a second (or third) look in the same spot we found it.

On 15 October 2022 a new batch of prisoners were shipped out of Brisbane to spend 7 days incarcerated on Norfolk Island. It has now been 5 nights and countless days into their sentence at Ocean Breeze Cottages.
The sentence period is fast coming to an end. Tonight the prisoners will be force fed something called Fish Fry. One can only wonder.
The prisoner was a bit hesitant about approaching this cache. After all Somewhere in Sydney is another penal colony. Would the convicts just be going from bad to worse in relocation to Sydney. Then which Sydney is it? The one in far off Australia or the one just nearby renamed as Kings Town.
With all the convicts around it is a good thing this cache is bolted.

Time to head to Norfolk Island to celabrate our 70th birthdays. When we were here before we were not geocachers, this visit will be spent gathering geocaches and revisiting our favourite places. Our appologies for the generic logs it does not take away the enjoyment we have found in the fantastic places they have been placed and all the different styles of caches that we are enjoying,
