Fun cache

With the event this afternoon in Emu Plains a group of us decided to spend the morning caching around Glenbrook. That was a successful start to the day with 100% of finds. After refueling ourselves at Maccas (I haven't been into Maccas in over 10 years so it was an experience!) we parted ways. I thought I would do some bird watching in the mountains but somehow that didn't happen as I hunted for a few more caches. This cache was good compensation being bird themed. Very cute!TFTC # 5879

I am from Switzerland...and we travel all states and Terrotories of Australia .We do housesitting all over the world and travel afterwards. Its nice to be back and this time even better with geocaching Nggi2 and I decided today and to make out of green ones Smilies . We drove to the Blue Mountains to see finally The Three Sisters..while we stood in the trafficjam I contacted the owner of this cache ..to say we would vist today as promised .. We got very bored in tha slow traffic ..so we decided to turn back and visit the lovely Birdhouse ..The owner lady awaited us already . We were welcomed very happy and had some nice chats about geocaching ..To my surprise i got a few lovely presents .Thank you ! She also acompanied us to two more bird caches of hers ..I love birds very much . I like to give a FP for that oneThank you for this Dsli (which means in Swiss cache )oinkoinkText@camp@

A cute little birdhouse nested in foliage.
I always am a bit weary with a cache hidden in a dead end street. With children out cycling and mums keeping a close eye, I did not feel very comfortable roaming around the bushes.

Visiting Mt Riverview this afternoon ... for the very first time, I think, so I enjoyed where the new-ish AL here took me. Stopped at this one afterwards and quickly spotted the cute hide ... and as I did, I heard my name being called. So this cache ended up taking longer than any other today but I'm not sorry, it was great to catch up with the CO for a chat!

We are on another short (four day) caching holiday in Western Sydney and the Blue Mountains, staying for three nights in a park cabin at the Ingenia Nepean River BIG4 Holiday Park at Emu Plains. Hoping to collect the latest GFA Puzzle, Wherigo, and Letterbox caches that have appeared around Luddenham & Wallacia since our last visit to the area, and will have a go at the new GFA Adventure Lab. Will also be returning to the lower Blue Mountains to visit some previously unexplored caching locations, revisiting areas around Penrith & suburbs that have new or replaced caches, and maybe finish with a visit to the Londonderry area. Photos will be uploaded to some logs on our return to home base. This was the 12th of 15 finds for the day (day 2), and 25th find of the holiday.

Today we headed up to Lapstone to make some finds for International Geocaching Day and the world wide caching record attempt for the most cachers caching on the same day (August 20). After trekking around the Lapstone gorge for a few hours we headed up to Glenbrook for some lunch, then grabbed some more caches in the lower Blue Mountains before heading back down to Emu Plains.

Arrived at this one next, and made a nice quick find of the cute camo. TNLNSL. TFTC thomo31, and Happy International Geocaching Day to everyone
