Logs
Wasps are around the corner that is right. Damaged container need replacing. The log 9 dry again which is amazing. Placed in ziplock but needs replacement.
Here we, *Filser1* and I, were able to find a pitiful cache. With a felt-tip pen we were able to write our nicks in the very damp logbook.

On our way to the next place TEMBO! and I made a stop at The Ghost of A Station Passt and logged. The Ghost was Not there but a a lot of bees. The container is damaged and the logbook wet.
Thanks to DancesWithPoultry Maintained by AAMOFIDOTR for hiding and maintaining the cache.

Found but didn't log on paper as it was wet (no lid on container) and it's right beside a wasp nest which we didn't want to disturb.

The ghost of a station, and also a ghost of a cache, kind of.
It's in a bit of a state of disrepair. Container has no lid, and the overhanging bush is obsessed with bees. The waterproof logbook still holds up, but the cache does need some maintenance in the nearby future if it was to keep going.
Kia ora! Paldies!
Thanks for the cache, DancesWithPoultry!

Found with WiscoBryo. Lid is gone and cache is waterlogged. And it’s guarded by a swarm of bees.
A train arrived just as we did! Missing a lid and getting a bit wet but not damaged yet
A good size container that looks like the ones that I use to be able to get from the Wharehouse, but no shipments have arrived since COVID. Although the lid is missing the log book is nice and dry. Thanks for the bit of history.
Had some time to spare on the way to Kaikoura today so we stopped to score a few caches in this area. A quick find, although I had to dig down into a pile of fresh shrub prunings to expose the cache. The lid is missing but the object covering the container is keeping the contents dry. Signed log, TFTC.
Dont know what the neighbor thought. I was standing beside the tracks as they were leaving.
A quick find with geo mum. No lid for container but all contents are dry. TFTC
Quick find, ld broken but logbook dry in baggy tftc
Planned West Coast trip put on hold due to atrocious weather. So an alternative route was needed to avoid the rain. Not so! The rest of the south island copped it too..though on a lesser degree. So mainly driving north with the odd random cache finds. Seeing plenty of country less travelled a bonus. Spending a few days in Kaikoura then heading back down south.
Southward bound now!

Passing through going north took the opportunity for a quick find ... and a place to pass on a travel bug
I am heading home to Nelson after being in Christchurch for four days. This is one of my stops to break up the journey. TFTC.
Needed to fill in a dot day so picked up caching buddy. did coffee, market and cache. Container a bit wet and bag didn't seal. Thanks for cache and morning out.
Found after coming to Amberley for a few caches and a nice lunch! Yes we patted the sheep, there are three of them today! Very friendly TFTC
Just calling in to Amberly on our way past and taking the time to do a little exploring - and caching. Picked up a TB. Cache is all good. TFTC
Thanks DancesWithPoultry for putting out this cache for woolwood9 and I to find!
SL **tm/ww NZ** (may just be a black smudge on wet or plastic logs)
*We soon had another good cache located, now to the next one!*
Very nice to meet DancesWithPoultry here and have a short chat with you. We appreciate your good hides.

Nice to be away on another geocaching trip with tmann421, travelling to a few places in the upper South Island.

Very quick and easy find.
Didn't get to meet any of the animals.
Dropped off a TB that is trying to get to Bluff

Heading towards Christchurch and we had plenty of time, so a quick detour to come and look for this cache. I wish we were in our other vehicle as that is where all of the trackables we have as I had forgotten to put them in my bag before we left home. Had I remembered there would have been one left here, nice to see a container that is big enough to drop one in.
The cache was soon found and we signed the log and returned it as we found it.
Thank you for placing the cache and thank you for the smiley

Quick find, water is getting into the container a little and the camo is coming off but nice to be finding more than micros out here! TFTC!
Spent the weekend in Glentui on a search and rescue training course, time to head home via different route grabbing a few caches along the way..
Thought I would stop in amberley and stretch my legs and go round the block ...
No problem with this one tftc picked up tb .

Found with orth71 on a quick drive around town before heading north.
Was guarded by a ferocious lion.

We were on the way to a bush walk, but it was temporary closed, what a petty. So we spent some times with caching this day.
So the 3 friendly sheep came to say hello. A nice quick and easy find. TFTC
Quick find after tasty pizza and beer dinner. Did some cache drying, said hi to the travel bug and then we were off home for the end of the holidays
Dropped in Rolli the travel bug. The other travel bug that was supposed to be here is not.
During a drive from Christchurch to meet the Bluebridge ferry I stopped here to stretch my legs, check my voicemails and (hopefully) find a new home for a TB I have had for too long. Arriving here just as the nearby school was finishing for the day was bad planning on my behalf, but no one seemed to notice me as I wandered down to the GZ, made a quick find and returned the cache. I hope the TB cat behaves next to the chickens until he gets a ride with someone new. TFTC
#17440. Nice quick P+G (just as well as we'd had a late start to our caching expedition and wanted to get home in time for a coffee). TFTC.
Today, StreetWalkerNZ and I needed to find some caches to bring our find total for 28 Sept to a nice green 26, a calendar challenge we are both working on. After polishing off the baby rattle series, we still needed some more finds, so it was time to head to Amberley.
An interesting bit of history, thanks for showing us the old station site. The cache was a quick find. The neighbouring sheep and the biggest, fluffiest chook I have ever seen were keen to make our acquaintance . TFTC.

Out with Coconuts3 on a 4WD trip, we just had to pop by for this one. Woolly jumpers were interested in the humans. Tftc and showing us this bit of history.
We took busy paws out on a 4x4 trip. Arrived early in Amberley meeting spot so went off to find a cache. What an interesting spot and the sheep were friendly. Thanks for bringing us here and the cache DancesWithPoultry.
After work this was a quick find in the dark. Hard to imagine a railway station was here as I'd previously found what looks like an old station platform further up, down the line. TFTC
Second stop on our way to Hanmer Spring. Very easy to find the container, the camo tape on the lid is gone, and there was water inside the container. The logbook was well protected in its zipbag. We enjoyed the history of the place. The sheep were very friendly and came to greet us. Thanks for placing this cache here.
Over from Australia to visit a muggle friend. While she was at a dog training session nearby I spent the time caching in Amberley when I saw the name of this cache I hoped there might be a little more of the Station still to be seen. But no, instead a cache. Thanks DancesWithPoultry
