Thanks for flagging the issue tiddalik. Our usual supplier of the somewhat unusual container used at this location has run out of stock, so I've ordered a replacement container online and should have it late next week. I'll post an 'owner maintenance' here when this is re-installed and the geocache is ready to find again.

This geocache was brought to my attention as being in need of an owner maintenance visit. The cache owner needs to check on this cache ASAP and either replace it or archive it, after picking up any geo-litter. See the [maintenance section of the Geocache Listing Requirements/Guidelines](http://www.geocaching.com/about/guidelines.aspx#listingmaintenance).
I've added this cache to my watchlist, and I will check back in four weeks to be sure that the maintenance has been done. In the meantime, I have temporarily disabled this listing. When the maintenance is completed, the owner can enable the listing by clicking on the link below the cache name to return it to active status.
Whatever your intentions, please **post a note** here on the cache page (not email) to let us know that you are still active and maintaining the cache.
If you plan on repairing this cache, please log a note to the cache (not email) within the next 30 days so I don't archive the listing for non-communication.

We skulked and searched down lots of hidey holes but had no luck finding this one! TFTC
After a bit of searching we discovered the treasure! Great hiding and awesome spot!
quick find after work. thought i was going to have to put my hand in a bunch of dark crevices but it wasn’t so spooky after all! tftc
A blustery day, beach closed to rough surf, a perfect day for beach caching. Turned up the pirate treasure, TNLN thanks.
The name of the cache didn't make sense until I found the container, to which I first said "I think I just found somebodies vodka?"
Nope it was the cache

Nice spot quick find some amazing houses around lots of muggles on a sunny day
Thanks for alerting that this one had gone missing. The container has now been replaced (identical to previous) with a new log and pencil ready to record your find. Happy geocaching!
The light was failing us, but lyn999 and I searched as thoroughly as we could in the conditions and came up duck eggs. Will watch this one to see if it was just us
No luck for us today, stuck our hands everywhere and couldn't feel anything. Will keep an eye on it.
Only had a brief look but did put my hand in every hole within a few metres of GZ. No luck today.
We were searching for an hour and we didn't find it. Could you please check if the cache is still there? Thank you
Wow good job and cool container. Watch out for the spikes though !! A difficult one to find!!
TFTC Thank you for hiding this cache. You have shown us a new place and have helped make geocaching an enjoyable activity.
Great cache. A really fun find and a great way to spend time with old friends.
After sticking our hands in many small crevices, finally found it. After reading previous finds, the cache was bigger then we thought. TFTC
Cool hide I loved the container it may have taken a while but it was cool also why is there a soccer ball key ring in front of it?
I don't particularly remember this storm but it must have been very ferocious up and down our coast. There is another cache on the southern coastline of Sydney which looks at this same storm. It also shows the force of nature in the photos.
I've been here before with no luck but today I was more determined and stuck my arms and hands in spots I felt I couldn't reach last time. The container is much smaller than I expected, maybe why I missed it before.
There were no swimmers today and only 2 muggles sunbaking in the weak winter sun quite some distance from GZ.

No problems on a beautiful but quiet Sunday. We'll have to come back in the summer for a swim. TFTC
Perfect spot. We had hoped to leave a trackable that's been with us for weeks, but this one"s neck is too slim. TFTC #5 for us!
TFTC. Pencil in cache is very blunt, so byo pen. Beautiful day to explore the northern beaches.
Staying at Bilgola Beach and very g
Happy to get this smiley at last, on the way to a swim. Luckily “local” and previous finder, megawat60, helped me make the find. TFTC!

Nice spot and clever hiding! Highly muggle-crowded area too. Although once we got it magically noone appeared for about 3 mins, which gave us enough space to log. TFTC!!
I’m always a bit puzzled why anyone would remove a geocache..... oh well, it happens.
A new (identical) container is back in place, with a fresh log and pencil. Enjoy.

For the first day of Daylight Savings, what a miserably rainy day this is - just drizzle, not even proper rain! So what better place to go on a day like this than... The Beach!
I was after a few finds for my calendar today, and went for four (including two at the beach) but only found three. Also passed by a few that I thought were problematical today for various reasons.
And didn't get ***too*** wet!
###END OF CUT AND PASTE SECTION###
Was hoping for a find here as I have fond memories of this beach from the late 60s and early 70s when the family holidayed nearby for a few years. I particularly enjoyed the sandbar - which I think disappeared in the storm that took the pool.
And for me this was the best of the major beaches in Sydney.
But no find here on an almost deserted beach today.
Checked plenty of nooks but nothing found. Due to the wet (and plenty of prickly plants) I'm not prepared to say it's not here, but I think in view of the other recent DNFs a cache check is necessary.

Quick look whilst doing the Bloody Long Walk- Palm Beach to Manly... Couldn’t spend too long as I had to catch up with my Muggle mates. No luck! Hopefully we can return to this beautiful spot another day!
Found the hummus container and signed the log, then on reading previous logs realised the "real" cache was something else... so continued the search and soon had it in hand - very cool! Though it's always unnerving to put your hand in holes in the ground here in Australia...
Signed the new log as well, then popped the old log into the new container and recycled the hummus one. No one on the beach this morning, only a few muggles on a bench, but don't think they were paying any attention to us whatsoever. And if they were, they thought we were picking up rubbish as we found a few extra "treasures" for the bin around GZ. So there you go, cache finding and beach cleaning rolled into one.
TFTC and thank you for teaching us a bit of history about the area too!

A new ‘spooky’ container and log have been installed, and are once again ready to find.....
We added a temporary container [a 150-gram flavoured hummus pot!] to stop the log paper getting wet as lots of people (including me) found it with only the log paper, no container.
Found - added temporary container 150g houmous pot! Since found with no container thanks!
Found the log in behind the pig face plant but no container. Left the log underneath a rock behind the plant
Very good spot ,it’s not scary where you put your hand in and pull it out (Not dangerous no spiders)
This was our second visit as last time we could not spot it. Today it was a sunny morning and as we arrived there was some photography taking place. So, back for a slow coffee and then back for a clean run! Spotted the 'cute' container and nice log in a predictable spot. Thanks turnersbythesea.
On a caching trip and after some quick smiles we stopped at this cache. After a bit of scrambling cache was soon in hand, love the cache.
Daytrip around the northern beaches initially had a few higher terrain treks on the agenda but ran out of time and daylight to do all of them today. Still wanting some numbers as I approach an upcoming milestone with a specific cache in mind, detoured to a few quick PnGs on our way back to the ‘Gong. Specific hint was helpful but scramble to search and retrieve should make the terrain grading a little higher or maybe I was just stiffening up after doing a 3*T which had well and truly earned it’s rating.
A new container & log are once again in place, and waiting to be found..... Enjoy .
We had a thorough search before being joined by a previous finder. We did find some broken glass but nothing else. A big shame as we arrived from WA last night & this was to have been our first cache.
Enjoying our stay at Bilgola as always, but sadly no find here despite a good skulk and only seeing broken glass, and the help of a previous finder. Hope to return.
