Fairly easy, but the lid is broken. Unfortunately we have nothing handy on us. Someone please fix if you can...
Quick find, although had to keep dodging all the muggles. Really, cold, windy and wet. Some people are as crazy as us, out on a day like today. Tftc.
Quick find with accurate coords. The contents are in good condition but the container is starting to get fragile. I turned it on it's side to keep rain out. Thanks for placing it.
I have come over from NZ to visit family and do a lot of caching. I am now on the Yorke Peninsula doing the trails and other caches close by. Have been out here before but there are lots of new caches now. Time to change camp so not as many today. Had a few aims for this trip.
Our last day on the yorke with Mattycat and Perfect Di, heading a little further south to collect a earth cache we collected a couple along the way including this one, a quick find at GZ

This weekend is a mental health/selfish/me time weekend.
Headed to YP to do as I please which of course meant geocaching.
My plan was to ‘finish’ fishing . It and the geoart will be almost finished bar avenging some prior dnfs.
Was also keen to find some multis and visit a few places I haven’t been to before.
Mission accomplished in my happy place for the day. Only 2 dnfs. Sadly the Pies lost their Prelim final but we love to fight another day. Stansbury was a revelation to me the pub was brilliant.
All up around 130 found for the day.
Quick find here took the TB to move on TFTC hurtle

The three of us were spending some time on Yorke Peninsula, and today Mr Tardis went out for a caching run in the southern half. I did a section of the Gone Fishing trail, and found lots of old and new caches on the way there and back.
I found this cache after a short search.
Signed the log. Thanks for the cache Hurtle.

We found this cache while on the way to pick up some more of the fishing line with ilook4geo. No problems with this one and we were soon on the way to continue our hunt for the day. Thanks go to Hurtle for placing this cache.
Came along today with goingplaces2 and made an easy find here. Log was signed and all was replaced as found. TFTC.
Day 2 of our holidays, saw us caching along the coast line, cliff climbing, finding old ruins and travelling down many dirt roads. As at 4pm we are back at camp having a well earned rest before dinner and possibly more caching. TFTC
This was found as we wander this great country

Found with Spidermonkeys Mum. Naturally I turned it into a competition, since I cant fish this weekend (not through lack of trying). Each cache I found I called out the score to SMM, and when I didn't know which direction or even the distance, I would call out "My GPS says zero!" That got her a few times!!! Safely say I won the Saturday round, and on Sunday I had lost interest and tried to just spot them from the car, as I drove her past some of the powertrail ones. Thanks to the CO's for putting these out for us to find, and bringing us to spots we wouldn't normally visit (especially if there isn't fishing)
Yay. Found it. Another fun adventure, many thanks for the hide.
GeoVenture Mega Event at Millicent, still looking forward to it!! A new date has been proposed for October 2021 now.

I have come over to Yorkes with Madham02 for a couple of nights staying in Wool Bay and today was our full day so we headed off for a drive with the sun shining and no wind or rain. [^] I had made a list of caches I wanted to find and at the end of the day had 21 finds and 2 DNF's. It was a fun day driving around on dirt roads looking at lots of old buildings and ruins.
Another old ruin discovered on our wanderings and it would have been interesting to see what life was like down here when al these old buildings were inhabited.
Thanks for the cache and for bringing us here Hurtle.

Nomads travelling in their caravan around Australia. We have been on the road since July 2011 and discovered caching in August 2013. We travel with a bunch of travel bugs belonging to our sons and grand children. Where ever possible, we will maintain your cache as we travel.
Left our camp at Mozzie Flats to head into Yorketown for provision. That done, we cached our way home.....
Cute house, sad story, Mr D got stung by a feral bee while signing the log. Thanks Hurtle

On a day if arctic blustery conditions we set out to cache! Well why not? Better than sitting snuggled up in a camper all day. This one doesn't look to far gone, could imagine doing a little something with that if ever had time, but seeing how many geocaches there are left to do don't imagine will have any time soon. Tftc
Another that appears that it could be a real fixer upper if you are a little handy with some tools and imagination. SL TFTC
Off down the Yorke for a few days with Purrfect Di, Jack, Sebastbat, muggle Alex and Chloe the geodog (cat's crazy staff).
Celebrating Di and Matty's birthdays with a few scenic caches.
Found this cache along the way.
Another great project for retirement. Just needs a coat of paint, right?

Over on Yorkes for our 4WD Club Xmas Dinner last night and spending the day clearing some more of the map. TFTC.
Well said Hurtle, we agree completely with your remarks and hope we don’t contribute to the problem. With the wind eased right off this morning the only issue might be rain today, but even then that should only be passing light showers.
So we are back out chasing caches again!
This time we are again heading south from Edithburgh but inland towards Port Moorowie. Very interesting countryside, all the lakes that randomly pop up add to the character of the surrounds.
Well this one was a bit of an adventure. We found a road that cut across country from the “Sheep Ruins” cache. At least we assumed it was a road! After all it did have a name. The car GPS didn’t like it as it tries to avoid gravel roads, but we didn’t know what her problem was as the road had no gravel, just grass and rocks. It went thru the middle of sheep paddocks, but we did eventually end up on the road we were looking for.
Love these old abandoned stone houses, they certainly have lots of character. A straightforward find in a logical place. The GPS took us straight there.

Nope. I will not excuse "the boilerplate logs". Ok on powertrails but a slap in the face for the COs of individual caches, whom put the effort in to give you smiley in the first place!
If you can go to the trouble of planning a trip to get 1300 cache in a short period, the least you could do is show in your logs a comment of the hide, location, what you saw, etc.
A generic log like the ones that have come in this week are pathetic. May as well put tftc and save future finders having to scroll through reams of these 'diary entries'.
Disappointing to come from such experienced cachers as well, no wonder new cachers think lazy actions like this are the norm!!

The Rats, steeba and Hoojar have teamed up for a York Peninsula adventure of massive proportion. With much planning and logistical coordinating, we had a great five days meandering the country roads collecting a plethora of caches. Our journey started with a handful letterbox caches before heading down the peninsula following the “Gone Fishn” series. We followed this up with an array of geo-art images that litter the lower peninsula. Returning to Adelaide we collected a gaggle of old and rare finds which included some interesting earthcaches and virtuals.
My apologises for the generic log, but thanks to all the cache owners and caching buddies who made the road-trip such a memorable and fun experience.

After a review of the geocaching map in South Australia it was determined a trip to the Yorke Peninsula would yield some significant numbers. So, The Rats, Hoojar and I teamed up once agan to tackle the many caches on the peninsula.
We started in the darkness after flying into Adelaide and the next day set some personal records (550+ caches in a day) and milestones before bunking down. The next day was another massive numbers haul which resulted in a bit over 1,000 caches in two days !
Then it was a little more sedate down to the bottom of the peninsula and then back up the easterly side, ticking off a few EarthCaches in the process .
After that, back to Adelaide for some night caching, virtuals and more EarthCaches!
The power trails on the peninsula were great- quiet roads, some great green wheat and yellow canola scenery, coupled with some great company and usual ribbing of each other [^]!
Thanks for your cache- sorry about the generic log. For the EarthCaches and virtuals look out for an email or two shortly.

This was a trip that had been some time in the making. A journey from Wollongong in New South Wales to the Yorke Peninsula in South Australia, in search of large numbers. Five days were set aside, and The Rats, Steeba, and myself planned the details out. Lofty numbers were floated; we could find one thousand geocahces... Maybe more! The world was our oyster, all we had to do was make it happen.
We flew into Adelaide and quickly rented our car, then headed off for a series of thirty letterbox caches late that night. We then set up camp, ready for the next few days.
Two days journeying down the Yorke Peninsular saw us collect 550 caches the first day, and 450 the next. One thousand caches in two days! The numbers were phenomenal, unheard of, and excellent! At one stage we found fifty caches in a one hour period! We worked ourselves into a solid routine, and managed to push these numbers without caching after dark. Incredible! We camped out beside the trail, ready to commence again the following morning.
Having reached our goal of one thousand, we rented a cabin and enjoyed a solid relax and beet, and we were then able to dedicate the remaining time to specific caches, mostly Earthcaches to keep Steeba (The Professor) happy, and a good number of Vrtuals as well, as we made our way back from the end of the Yorke Peninsular to Adelaide. It really became a Tour De Earthcache! If your geocache is such a hide, stand-by, as Steeba will soon contact you with our answers.
As is always the case with these trips, the company was the highlight, with banter non stop, the time went by in an instant.
We saw some amazing things, found some excellent caches, and had an absolute blast.
Ticking just over 1300 finds for the trip, you will have to excuse the boilerplate logs!
Thanks to all of the cache hiders for their efforts in placing and maintaining their hides. It was fantastic exploring this part of the world that I had never visited before. Thanks also to my geocaching partners, without whom such a trip would not be possible, nor fun!
Cheers

Found in the dark with hevwalker and clare007 at the end of a day's wander around the Peninsula!!! Heather dived in to grab the prize and I'm surprised folks in Adelaide didn't hear her cursing the spikes!!!! Thanks Hurtle for the hide!!
Found at the end of a long day before the sun set with CPwanderer & clare007...
We did some miles just to get the last 4 caches CP wanted before heading home...
This was the very last cache we did today as the light was fading...we had torches...
Ouch!!! Ouch!!! Ouch!!! My head hurts after crawling under that bush...
Another of the many ruins that are scattered over the state...
Thanks for bringing us here Hurtle

Our last cache before heading to Ardrossan for dinner.
After a bit of searching there was only one obvious spot,
and we didn't think it would be in there...[:0]
hevwalker bravely grabbed the cache & replaced it,
but she wasn't happy, the cache lair bites

Hi there Hurtle.
We found your cache **"Lost Heritage #46 - Port Moorowie"** at 11:11:00 AM today. (This makes our find count 16930).
We cached around JLWE area again today (even though the event is over). We thoroughly enjoyed our trek & ended up finding a variety of hides, types and sizes hidden along the way. Today we found 3 caches (& DNF'd 0). Thank you for placing this cache here, without geocaching as our guide we would never have found so many interesting places on our travels.
**Coordinate Accuracy:** We found the cache around 2m from where the GPS said we should be looking.
**Cache Condition:** The container and log book are in good shape.
**Took:** Nothing.
**Left:** A Smiley Badge.
**Grabbed Trackable:** "Fish out of water" & "Saada".
Thanks for the hunt today,
Regards
Ian & Penny.
