On the way from Cowes to Rhyll, we wanted to attempt at least a few of the big bunch of caches here and managed 7 of them in the time that we had. Thanks from D & HA B-A
Its always fun to swing along finding good caches in quick succession so i am enjoying this section of the series. A lovely old host here looks like it could could tell a few stories. Every now and then i find it very therapeutic to skive off from what i really should be doing to enjoy some time in nature, walking, exploring, adventuring, or just being. These days, of course, that also includes geocaching. I was feeling a bit inundated and decided to head for the coast for a sea change, at least for a few days. Phillip Island has long been a favourite so i hit the road and after a busy drive through the city i finally arrive on the island and immediately felt myself beginning to relax. When i was young i enjoyed quite a few family holidays down here and some of my happiest memories were created on splendid days exploring the beaches and rocky coasts. I will certainly find some geocaches while im here but i will probably spend more time just walking and sight seeing i think. Treasure Island - Rhyll Inlet #12 is find number 3,693 for me. A fun micro sized traditional cache I enjoyed finding as one of my caching adventures in Bass Coast Shire. I am logging this one on Tuesday 23 July 2024 at 6:48 pm and the weather is Overcast Clouds 14C 62% 10 m/s . Thanks for placing this cache for the rest of us to enjoy Gonefishen07.*Found with [Geooh GO](https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.mobiltal.geoohGO)*
Out and about on trusty treadles AKA my MTB exploring the trail and the different landscape to my homebase. The planets aligned and a spontaneous decision to head down to the Island for some sea breeze, ozone and coastal vistas on a free day AND of course caching (or casheering as dear mum would say) transpired. This great hobby is such an invitation to explore aspects of any location and the ISLAND has plenty of that. Quick find at GZ with a good hint. TFTc and the FUN.
Found at 15:50Another one where I searched far and wide before coming back and finding the cache. Thanks Gonefishen07 for the cache
21423. Day 2 of our little Phillip Island Adventure. Looked like being the best day of the week so we loaded the doggies into their trailer, jumped on the bikes and headed out for some caching between Cowes and Rhyll and then more around town in the afternoon. Great to get a ride in although it was very very windy. Finally managed to get our hands on this one where we had already looked. A bit of a sneaky hide. Thanks Gonefishen07
Day two on Phillip Island with BettyBoo3747 and the geodoggies. We got the deadly treadlies out and rode the caches around Cowes, also filling in a few AdLabs.Took a little longer, as where we thought it should be, we had not looked carefully enough.Eventually got there. Thanks, Robmc.
Today we headed to the Phillip Island for a wedding and some cache. What a beautiful place to visit. A great day for a walk. Thanks Gonefishen07
Parked in a nice convenient spot and after a quick search of local flora, the cache was soon in hand. Thanks Gonefishen07 for placing the cache.
Found this with my wonderful long suffering muggle husband while holidaying on Phillip Island. Nice walk and cache in good condition nestled in it’s little hollow. TFTC TNLNSL
Nice weather for me to decide riding my ebike along the track to find Treasure Island-Rhyll inlet caches. Found most of it without DNF. Had a great day. Thanks Gonefishen07 for placing this cache
Pulled over on the side of the road and managed to see it from the car so we got very lucky on this one!! Another great camo. TFTC
This proved to be a bit of a difficult angle, but Mr S shimmied around and grabbed it. Thanks for the hide.
Found by Mary and David at 12:10. Not an obvious hide this time, and a bit awkward for D to get to a place where it could be seen, Our thanks to Gonefishen07.
Found at 12:12 PM GAFF5 in the company of maccamob.
We looked and looked avoiding the gnarly location, but in the end that is where the cache was located [B)]
Thanks Gonefishen07.

Staying in Phillip island for a few days and noticed this trail, so while Mr geco had a nap I headed out to explore. I enjoyed the trail and the search for the clever hides. Shame to see some of the camo's had become unstuck but enjoyed the hunt. Sorry for the mass log but they merged into one when I logged them after the walk. TFTC
Out with Tiz13 & Kashbound for a day of exploring caches on the island with some specific ones in mind. So grateful for a gorgeous day after all this awful weather.

Kbucky's turn again locating this cache, log signed TKB's. We had a brief stop to rest but had to soon move on as the mosquito were very hungry. (Mind you we all had sprayed copious amounts of deet on ourselves and each other) maybe Au de Citronella might be the way to go for next time.

On a hike from Rhyll to Cowes around the inlet.
A nice straightforward find once I got into the right position to spot the camo.
Thanks, Gonefishen07.

Spiffy- and I decided to take advantage of this rare public holiday and went to the Island. Luckily we headed off early as on the way back the traffic getting on to the island went for about 10km.
This cache was another straight forward find for us.
Thanks to Gonefishen07 for the fun and the adventure.

Today we headed off early to Phillip Island and glad we did because the traffic was at a standstill coming onto the island when we left. For a public holiday the weather was surprisingly good. After finding the main cache we needed today we deployed the scooters at the car park here and rode each direction along this awesome trail. Geez they went to a lot of trouble building all these boardwalks. A great range of caches were found along here today.
This one was well hidden but found fairly quickly.
Thanks Gonefishen07 for the cache, the adventure, the hunt and the fun.

We were a bit worried at first as the end branch has been recently cut, but never fear, we found it elsewhere.
Took a very long time to find, but once located we were very happy indeed. Thanks for a challenge!
Having another day on Phillip Island and concentrating in the NE area. I began this lovely trail early and walked it in sections, backtracking to move my geovehicle to a more convenient spot i thought id looked in every possible hiding spot before i finally found this well concealed caxhe TFTC Gonefishen07
I thought this ine was missing for a minute before finding the well concealed hiding spot. Thanks.
Having just done the SEATO thought I’d enjoy bit more of this lovely area. Why wonder how this tree is still standing after the last storm. Cache all good though and still in place. Thanks for the cache GoneFishen07
On a road trip to Phillip Island for a couple of weeks, picking up random caches as we travel around seeing the sites. Today we decided to walk from the carpark on the Cowes-Rhyll Road to Conservation Hill, 3.6kms return, picking up caches along the way. This one did take longer than it should but after checking the hint it was Mr Pooky who eventually made the find of this well camouflaged cache. TFTC and bring us to this great walking track.
Another day-another caching run!
Since the COVID restrictions have eased in regional Victoria we have been trying to do a weekly run with caching mate Rebel Acts. This is our fourth outing, and unfortunately the drizzle looks set to make things a bit miserable. Our first 3 days were beautiful, mild and with a light breeze. We are living in hope that the skies clear and make it more comfortable, but this IS Victoria.
As in the past we will sign many of the caches RASP.
Nice to find an “in your face” camo that the CO has put time and effort into making

With restrictions lifted in regional Vic I once again teamed up with SKI Pair armed with My mask and Sanitizer, Today we headed over the hills to Phillip Island where we had a great day exploring the Island, the weather was four seasons in one day, but that did not stop us. There were quite a few challenging and novel hides in the area. this is one of the caches we found today.

This object seemed a bit out of place here. That's what led us to the find.

Gorgeous last day of the year at Phillip Island. I took the opportunity for some caching along this path in the late afternoon, after driving down from Melbourne to stay with family for a day or two. It wasn’t too busy, unlike the rest of the island on NYE!
This is a milestone cache for me - 400. Following the hint, I found it without too much trouble - nice little camo construction. TFTC

Having arrived on the island yesterday evening we took a look at the map and decided to hike the Treasure Island - Rhyll geo-trails. We had a thoroughly enjoyable walk, did some good bird watching along the way, and of course had great fun finding lots of geocaches, many of them well camouflaged and cleverly hidden - and so many thanks to the CO for having provided us with the opportunity for another great day out geocaching. We soon located this nicely camouflaged cache once at Ground Zero. We signed the log book and then replaced as found. Thanks so much for the cache and greetings from Zimbabwe
Beautiful morning stroll along the trail, cache in great condition, stamped log thanks Borisb&Natasha and Gonefishen for the caches along this trail.

Out today on a bike ride with the kids, so good to be able to find some caches at the same time! My kids found this before I even arrived at gz, they guessed it was the tree and grabbed it! Loved the container, brilliant! Tftc!
We are having a holiday in Phillip Island this week. Being the Queen's Birthday Long Weekend, coupled with some lovely weather, made it very busy, with muggles out everywhere you went. There were many people walking and riding along the trails today.
We broke out the bikes to do this interesting little trail, where we found a variety of good hides in different containers. A quick find made here, on the way back to the car.
Thanks for all the effort of placing the cache for us to find and doing the maintenance to keep it in play

We have had such a great morning on the bikes, what with all the different hides and brilliant camouflaged caches, and no DNF’s as yet:) This was another one we were lucky enough to find.
Thanks so much Gonefishen07.

After a successful 'lead up to another Victorian Mega' event in nearby Cowes, we decided to head out caching for the day. We were keen to check out some of the 'Treasure Island' series which seem to be all over the island.
We took a walk along this section of the trail after lunch. Snap should have had his bike serviced... we'll have to come back another day (with our bikes) to get the rest. All of these caches were found pretty quickly and we enjoyed our walk. Thanks for the cache Gonefishen07.

Found quickly because it was sitting with the container turned outwards. When I rehid the cache I took advantage of the provided camouflage. Tftc and a fav point from me.
With the camo on this one I can't help but think it was destined for somewhere else? Banksy would have been proud.
After our arrival in Melbourne we drove directly down to Philipp Island, our first stop in Victoria. Here we looked and found some boxes before we were heading to the Penguin Parade. Thanks to the co‘s for placing and maintaining the caches. Found and logged together with GPS-Wickie, Mikaching and Swerik.
Today we started our journey with a flight from Sydney to Melbourne. Watching the news it was perfect timing, because Sydney was hit by heavy rain, thunder and lightning the same night.
For our accommodation here on the island we had chosen the Ramada Restort. It was a good spot for starting our different adventures. Already on our way to the resort we started to stop for a couple of caches. Later we took a nice walk and continued to find caches in the area. We finished our day to attend the attraction of the island, the penguine parade.

During my vacation in Australia I still had the Koala Conservation Center and the penguins as highlights on my list. Besides, I dedicated myself to the existing caches. In particular, the Treasure Island Trail stood out. Some boxes were easy to find, others took longer.
