Pretty easy

We headed out in the car today to cache in the areas surrounding Swan Hill. It was an interesting journey as we traveled through varied farming country, some fruit, crops and scrubby areas. The caching was mixed with straightforward finds and a number of DNFs as we battled the GPSr on some, and others spot on. Many D/T ratings were spot on, but others definitely misleading.A successful if at times frustrating day nonetheless.Thank you for your efforts in creating and maintaining the cache Sparra0907.**SKI Pair****

Full time Nomads, travelling around Australia since 2014. This is our first visit to Swan Hill and there is sooo much to see and sooo many caches nearby, leaving us spoilt for choice. We headed out early this morning hoping to beat the heat. Very unsuccessful at that and pretty unsuccesful days caching too. Lots of DNF, feeling pretty sad now. Tired, hot and grumpy we gave up just after lunch. We did manage to find this cache. TFTC Sparra0907 [^]

Went for a mid morning walk today to check on this nice big cache and it is still there. Well hidden and ready to be found again. Cheers.️

We are staying in the area for a short visit with ilook4geo and just picking up some of the local caches. This one was a nice easy find and both names were stamped on the log to note our visit. Thank you to Sparra0907 for placing this cache.

levee banks are clever ideas.

After leaving my campsite this morning I headed into swan hill for some groceries and caches in the cool summers day.

This cache was a quick park and grab before circling back into town for some lunch.

The plan today was to find some more local Swan Hill Caches, and to give some previously un-logged DNF's another chance.

Thanks for placing this cache here. Over the years, Geocaching has taken us on many adventures and to lots of wonderful destinations all over Australia. Without 'caching as our guide we would never have found so many interesting places on our nomadic wanderings. 'Caching has also introduced us to a diverse group of like-minded people, many of whom we now call friends.

Took a while to find, mates got bitten by ants, boots are a must. TFTC

Looking at heading up this way only to be told "we've found those, they are probably more that you haven't logged". As it turns out, that is exactly what has happened. I was caching with OzHockeyChick, RoamingHowie and Papi4506 who have thankfully mentioned me in their log so I know I was present at this find. I have also logged it on the day of the find from their logs. Thank you for the cache and huge apologies for not doing it earlier.

This was a nice quick find in a lovely area. Levee banks are a fantastic way to protect life and property. I was part of a flood in Lightning Ridge but there was no rain at all. The waters had all come from the devastating Queensland floods. It wasn't until a few months later, when we could leave the town, that we could see the difference between those areas that had impromptu levee banks erected and those that didn't. Great invention. Thanks for the cache.

The geocaching holiday continues with OzHockeyChick, Papi4506 & GeoTurtle37. We finally made it to Swan Hill after an epic drive (100kms in 6hrs). Today is the first day exploring the hill.

In contrast to yesterday, which was quite warm, today we battled a cold wind and some heavy rain squalls as we cached our way around the area north west of S.H. in the very good company of Suscoe. A variety of hides and cache notes such as this, taught us more about this part of Victoria.

Suscoe and Phetlern were continuing their Swan Hill adventure this morning.
The weather took a change overnight and we woke to cooler temperatures and a cloudy sky.
Rain was also on the horizon and so a quick start was had to see how far we would get on the list for today.

Swan Hill Day 2 staying on the riverside.
It was after lunch when we decide to cross the border into NSW & out to Murray downs where we had visited last night. It looked a lot different in the day light. It was then back to VIC & a drive along the edge of the Murray, such a good way to visit the area.
The cache locations were varied & a variety of containers found.

Having been spooked by Muggles last time in an attempt to look for this one, no search was possible [v] but today, the 10th of November on my ["Armistice Trip" 10-24 Nov 2018] to Awesome Victoria to see a Muggle mate for 2 weeks, I made sure it was not gonna end up a 'Blue DNF Face' .

A reasonably quick find of a most sturdy cache container was located and it's log was signed at 14:33 on Sat. 10 Nov 2018.

A quick find tonight under the stealth of darkness while we are making the most of our long weekend in Swan Hill. Good sized container. TFTC

After a disastrous morning with 3 out of 3 dnfs it was time to change my luck this afternoon. Managed a quick find at this one, fortunately for me this time as the area was swarming with large ants. Thx again Sparra

With the whole team on a mission (no time for sleep) we were up for fun on our camping holiday with the kids. Quick find without getting bitten by the bushes or bull ants.
