This is a great park and it definitely deserves a cache but this is clearly not the right spot. Despite my best efforts the cache has been muggled repeatedly and as I am leaving Darwin it seems better to archive it rather than create a maintenance nightmare for my Darwin caching friends.
Found the tree, the hole in the tree , checked as well ground level - nothing, no geocache
I tried to get this one out of the tree, had no luck will pass on information onto owner
After the recent dnf and notes I went to check on the cache. Definitely missing. I found it on the walk back to the car having clearly made its way onto the grass and then been run over by the local council lawn mower. Pbliterated more than muggled. I will rethink and replace with something more secure. Apologies to the searchers.
Found it, but I couldn't get it out. Has fallen down too far to grab. I will come back with some tools
Today we had the last chance to look at some caches in Palmerston, cyclon Marcus is on his way to Darwin and our stay ends soon.
Two hours over lunchtime were enough time.
Found this nice one within a short time. )
Thank's Canberratrekker for the cache!

Cache replaced apologies to those who could not find it while it was MIA. Cache is no longer in the hollow branch as we suspect the lizard of muggling.
Found where the item should be, however it is no longer there. Found screw and fishing line nothing attached.
Found the fishing wire but no cache attached. Looks as though it has fallen down but is still being guarded by the frog.
What a lovely place. Nice view of the lake from up the grassy knoll.
Found an unusual hole in ttee and was about to reach in when a rather large lizard scampered along.
Not sure who was more startled.
Could not see any cache, even though GPS thought I was standing on it.

We just happened to be in this part of town and looked to see if there were any caches here.
Cache was a nice quick find by the Cat.
Thank you for placing this cache here for our enjoyment.

Heya. We think the geocache may have taken a trip down the hole. Found the lid and think I can see it at the bottom....
Thanks for the heads up. Despite taking a range of extraction tools I couldn't retrieve the cache so it's been replaced. Slightly different securing method may work better.
A quick find with DBO and Cad. Love this area especially when the water lilies are in bloom. Thanks CT for hiding another cache.
Out and about with corunnaroad and CAD on a lovely dry season afternoon... a quick find here and we enjoyed the lake setting Thanks CanberraTrekker for placing this cache here
This cache was just lovely, great location and great hide found it in about 30 seconds (we have wanted to hide one in the same place) Photo is a bit of a spoiler TFTC we loved it. Swapped a shell for a guitar pick.
Went to check on the cache after burgo78's find of the lid only. The cache had definitely been tampered with - I found it in the general area stripped of its camouflage but with log, pencil, FTF pin and prizes still in place. Put everything back together and added burgo's name to the log. Sorry!

Visiting Darwin for work for the week and had set up notifications for new hides. The phone popped while I was still in Townsville but it remained I found after I finished dinner and I was only 10km away. Had to go for it. Sadly only the lid is attached. The main tube is gone.
Photo evidence has been messaged.
Thanks for the chase.
