We're heading home from a great weekend camping, and made a quick find here. great camo, tftc
Found on an early morning walk with The X-Trailers.Cache was easy to find when you approach at right elevation.TFTC
Out for the day in the PeuGEOt with littlecogs to find some more of the myriad of Geocaches in and around the pretty town of St Arnaud.TFTC
Seems we are following some fellow Taswegians around the traps here, but 6 days apart ! Locked onto this one pretty quickly, unlike Mrs Beetles2 who had to send the boss in to find it ! thanks for a cleverly disguised cache Tyred n Cranky.
We actually free camped near GZ last night after being told it was okay by the lady at the Information Centre.Seemed unusual to be able to camp so close to a caravan park. When leaving this morning we parked down near the park and while Mr Beetle waited in the van I wandered across the park to GZ.Well, then I went round and round in circles up and down that steep hill until eventually in frustration I walked back across the grass to the van and told Mr Beetle to forget this one. At times I was close to GZ and then one step and I was metres away. Don't know why the ETrek was behaving so erratically but it was certainly having some hissy fits!!But Mr Beetle was not to be deterred and drove back up close to where we had spent the night, grabbed the GPS and walked straight to GZ.And there was the cleverly constructed hide. It must be the only spot I didn't check in a 50 metre radius.A favourite point here for the container, definitely not for my experience at finding it.
Leaving St Arnaud and heading towards Bendigo. Getting a few caches along the way.
Our second full day at St Arnaud so with no real plans we tackled a few challenge caches, ad labs, fire track series plus many others. Impressed with all caches found today. Love the area and know now our visit here will be too short. This was our 3rd go at this cache as a camper van close to GZ other times.Arrived at GZ and soon had the cache in hand - all good here.TFTC Tyred n Cranky#9528
Full time Nomads, travelling around Australia since 2014. This is the first time we have been back since June 2015. Lots of new caches since we were last here. Dropped the caravan at the Caravan Park then headed out to tackle some of the sequential AdLabs with any nearby traditionals a bonus along the way. TFTC Tyred n Cranky [^]
We arrived in Saint Arnaud, only an hour or two ago, but it is still too hot to set up the camper trailer, so we decided to come for a walk which is close to where we are staying. We loved exploring this park and reading about the history of the swimming pools and the history of the mine here. Then onto the task of finding this one, which is beautifully camouflaged , and a lovely start to our Geocaching adventures here. Thanks Tyred n CrankyDomsky
At the Starbaud swimming meet and snuck over to find it reasonably easily!! TFTC!!
A fun daunder in the dark. Who'd have thunk that St A pubs closed so early on a Friday night???? No sign of a TB but a great hide. Many thanks
Staying in the caravan park and saw this nearby. As we approached GZ a voice called out "cachers?" So nice to meet Tyred and Cranky in person. Tftc
Have been checking this one quite frequently due to walking in this area. To date the cache is still all together and in its hiding place. We will still keep checking on it.
Went and checked this one out. Found the lid and logbook in its hiding place. Looked around area and found the bottom of the container. Put it all back together and replaced into its hiding spot. As we walk around this area quite often we will keep checking on it and see what happens.

Nice, quick and easy find and we returned it as found.
Took nothing, left nothing.
Thanks for placing this geocache here for us to find today, for without those who like to hide geocaches, there would be nothing around for those who like to find geocaches.

We arrived on the Spirit this morning and headed north on our 5 month trek. This seemed like a nice spot to stop, catch up on our Rest, and maybe pick up a few geocaches in the area.
This one was right near the free campground we found to stay at so grabbed it first. TFTC

Very interesting piece of history I wouldn't have otherwise known! Would probably prefer the new pool for a swim .

It wasn’t until we left here what the past and present meant…….very clever…..and so was the cache….clever construction ……really need to spend a weekend here and cache. Tftc
Last last find for the day, I wondered around for a bit before locating the cache, thankfully no observers were seen.
We found it hard to figure out what was here in the past. We recon the pool would have had a few stories though. SL, TFTC
We spent a about 10 days on the road with aqau caching around St Arnaud, Ballarat and Daylesford areas. Stayed in the nearby caravan park in our camper trailer. A nice walk after tea.
Thanks for your cache.
Thanks for your cache.
Catching up on logging. We spent a week in Adelaide catching up with family and then headed to St Arnaud via the Silos south of the Mallee Highway arriving in St Arnaud Tuesday night and have been exploring the street art and caches around the town. We have been aiming to get back here since the Mega in 2019, so it is great to be here, albeit not for long enough! We checked out of the accommodation are heading home after 2 weeks away. This was the next cache for this morning. We parked at the park parking and wandered over and up the steep incline to later find a much easier way to get up (isnt it always the way lol) Cache was found and logged and we contemplated walking to the 2 puzzles neaby but decided to find a closer access point

After completing all the challenge caches, it was time to look at some Ad Labs and others around town.
A short stroll, and we almost gave up when a "got it" was heard.

A drive to St Arnaud with Bogonghazy for the afternoon to find a few caches. Thanks Tyred n Cranky for placing the geocache clever hide
A Winter Saturday is always a good time to grab a few caches. LittleBoss2 and I headed from Bendigo today so I could reach a milestone and I couldn't think of a better area than St Arnaud to get some quality caching done.
Our thanks to Tired and Cranky for another clever hide. We wonder if it should be buried considering the container

In the dark of the night we seized the opportunity and grabbed the last cache of the night, ?? It was not a pleasant night to be out and about but an interesting spot to be.

On a camping road trip and we are now staying at Wooroonook Lake. Today we made a trip into St Arnaud to get some supplies, have a look around and pick up a few caches. Once at GZ it was Mrs Pooky who made the find of this very creative cache. TFTC, the history / Information and bringing us to this spot which we would have never visited had it not been for geocaching. Unfortunately there were no trackables in the container. TNLN.

Wow, this town sure has some wonderful caches on offer and so pleased we made the decision to come here whilst on our journey to SA.
Almost all caches were in great order and were a pleasure to find. Appreciate all the hard work that the CO's have put in placing these hides.

Headed out early this morning before it got too hot. Solved a few of the StArS ️ Most caches were in good nick except one I had to tape as cracked. Also did a few others and labs.

Day Two: St. Arnaud to Wangaratta.
The forecast for weather in Wangaratta didn’t look good, so I was in no hurry to get there.
First cache of the day was the wherigo “Cutting Laps”, and by the second lap I was looking for associated caches to break the journey.
This is the only Tyred n Cranky cache I got to log on this pass through St Arnaud, but I’m quite sure that there are plenty more out there waiting for me.
Thanks Tyred n Cranky

We are in St Arnaud for a few days caching and decided to collect a couple after our long drive
Today we decided to make a day of caching and very excited for some night caches in St. Arnaud, as we've heard great things from my bestie Becca-85.

Had to be careful finding this one, as some campers had parked right next to it, for a free night out. Weird as the caravan park is just round the corner. TFTC
Walking around the area taking Penny for one of her daily walks, we checked out this cache and all was good.
Had a job in St Arnaud today and figured I'd grab a cache or two during lunch. Really cool container. Nice little area to walk around nearby too. Tftc
So we have come to stay in Avoca for the weekend and we planned a day of caching in and around St Arnaud. Clearly, the Mega here a few years ago has made this lovely country town a geocaching hotspot. We decided to drive up the western side of the Pyrenees to get to St Arnaud and pick as many caches up on the way as we could before coming back to Avoca on the Eastern side of the Pyrenees. After picking up lunch at the local music shop, the coffee and sausage rolls were excellent, we stopped at this great park, possibly the last park designed by Dame Edna Walling left intact, to eat. Thank you Tyred n Cranky for this cache, the camo was excellent.
Staying at the caravan park for a couple of nights with geowife and geodog. This was a nice cache to do after lunch in the park below. Seeing the old swimming pool reminded me of when I was much younger. In the early 70’s my brothers and I would try to catch frogs that made themselves at home in the public pool at Trentham. Very different to today’s hygienic (frog free) pools. TFTC, and memories of yesteryear.

Took a while for us to find this one, the GPS pointed us in the wrong direction a bit but persistence paid off, tftc!
20 January 2021,out with friends, staying at the caravan park. Hot day, up specifically to cache
That new pool looks dangerous. Water so clear you could hit your head on the bottom. Ha. Bring back the good old days. 1977 for me. Before elvis died. Ha.
