9:46:00 AM. Passed this cache many times but today was heading in the right direction to turn in. A brief seach and spottted the cache. Once open the log was signed. Now off for the meet up and a coffee. Thanks for the cache Stopalot.
Found with KabbellaQld on 5/05/24. Adding now that I have a premium subscription.
Quick find today before I go home. Had to put dogs back in the van as they were tying me in knots! No ant problem today! TFTC
Day trip to Maryborough for some more smilies. Nice n easy park n grab but watch the ant, they bite!
Found it with a couple of creepy crawlers on us. S being allergic to grass made this challenging so long pants and closed shoes. Drink plenty of water out there while you are hunting everybody! Signed C+S
Here from New Zealand, visiting my sister in Brisbane, heading up to Bundaberg for a night, tftc
While taking my geodog Scruffy for her early morning walk, just had to find a cache or 2.

A pretty quick find of the replacement container. It’s already getting soft and hard to shut. Sadly I couldn’t help on this trip.

Today we are in Maryborough for an event THE FROG ASKED. We wanted to find a park near the river for lunch and as there was a cache nearby, we couldn’t resist.

After some searching, we found a mint tin inside the fork of the tree.
Definitely not the original hide container.
Thanks

We are staying at the pub just up the road, so we head down to the river to get this smile...As we were there looking around, fellow geoes Janetwil pulled up. We had a great catch with them. All four of us couldn't find any trace of the cache..To keep the cache active we dissided to replace it..
We parked close to GZ and spent a long time searching around the tree but did not spot the cache. We decided to walk along and look for another one close by and when we returned there was a car at GZ. Nice to meet you Jackie and Trevor (Gem_54). The four of us continued to search and even with some information from a previous finder a cache was not to be found. A replacement container was put in place and we signed the log. Hope that is ok with the CO. TFTC Stopalot.
Alyce and I made a spontaneous trip to Maryborough and brought the 4 youngest along for the ride. Our goal for the day was to grab the Brolly that we solved recently, but we forgot to download the list and had no internet when we arrived, so we decided to head into town to clean up some caches instead.
It was an action packed day filled with adventures and fun times. The kiddies enjoyed the experience but grew tired towards the end of the day. All in all we all had a fantastic day exploring Maryborough and the surrounding areas.
Ooof! How tricky was that! We must’ve walked around the tree a hefty amount of times before spotting a bit of colour. We dug here, dug there, moved this and moved that before noticing it. Pheew! Glad we found it in the end as it was getting rather late in the day and we had to head back to Brisbane, so this ended up being our last cache for the day.
Thanks for bringing us here.

Thought this one was going to be a lot harder than it was, signed log and returned as found. TFTC Stopalot
Day 4 & 5 in Maryborough. We thought we would continue to look around town and spend our time caching here. It didn't quite work out as we thought as there were a number of caches in parks and reserves and we ventured wider as well. A good variety of caches and hides all in generally good condition. We had mixed results on a number of tree fishing attempts. Some we just couldn't spot, others we couldn't reach with our fishing pole. Will have to look at some further modifications when we get home! We did manage to get a couple though!

Took my daughter and clients out for the first time , the paper was too wet to right one unfortunately.
Next, we headed to this cache. There were a few muggles about, but they were far enough away and didn't take any notice of us. The cache was quickly located and our names added to the log. TFTC
Stopped with Selva Girls and once at GZ made a quick find. Log is wet but I was able to sign our names before replacing as found

After the 2nd major flood this year we were once again surprised to find the cache still in place but with a soggy log. Log replaced and all is well for the next hunter to find
This container we could find on our short caching tour through Maryborough.
Thanks for the cache and many greetings from Germany,

We went out today to check/replace our 3 caches on the Mary River and Tinana Creek after the major floods earlier this month.
We were absolutely amazed to find all 3 caches still attached to their trees when they had been at least 3 - 4 metres under a raging torrent.
One even had a dry log - try and figure that out! 2 needed replacement logs.
The photo here shows the incredible Mighty Mary raging and the Lamington Bridge completely invisible under the water.

Out on the bike again today, on another mission. A milestone find is looming today, so I need to plan my finds carefully. I was out nice and early chasing the ALs in town and it was nice and quiet at most of the places I visited.
Not quite so early now and a spot that had been busy earlier was now quiet. A quick lap around for the find.

Staying in the caravan park and decided to ride around town.
Saw this cache close by, and just had to grab it.

We were heading back to the caravan park when M missed the turn. No problem says I, just turn down here to this park and we'll turn around there instead of doing a u-turn on that busy road. But only after we find the cache!

We had lunch by the river here after scouring the city for food - slim pickings on a public holiday, ended up with burgers from the spar supermarket which were not the best but kept us going at least. We noticed there was a cache in the park but a car was parked next to our estimated gz while we were eating, then when it moved a bit later, I pounced. I was just starting to search some hidey holes around the tree when another car pulled up. I abandoned the search and returned to our table.
We used the facilities and were about the leave when I noticed that the 2nd car had left, so we went back for another look. Saw a clue from a previous log as to which side of the tree to concentrate and soon had it. I was overthinking it, for sure.
I didn't realise it at the time but I think this may have been our 3000th cache! The count got a bit muddled with some more AL finds later before I logged this weekend's finds and I ended up attributing our milestone to another one in Maryborough, but it was great to reach the milestone in the area anyway where there are a great variety of interesting caches and places to visit.

The cache has disappeared so we have replaced today with a new container and fresh log.
No luck on this one. I did find a tether with a noose that would have fitted a preform but no cache.
Thanks for the hunt.

04/07/21 Staying in Maryborough Camp site with Caravan and seeing the sights and grabbing some caches. I am on holidays from Mackay. Been to the Bond Store, Mary Poppins and Military Museum this morning. Great Day. Now caching. TFTC SL
It is getting towards the end of the day and we are chasing what we think may be the easy caches. Well we started on the wrong side of this one but we did get there in the end. SL TFTC
I found this cache on a trip with Snickersallan, I thank all CO's for the time and effort putting out and maintaining the caches, all were enjoyed. TFTC
Day 3 of our visit to beautiful Maryborough and our plan is to do the inner part of town then work our way around the surrounding areas.
Had to wait until muggles left the area before we zoomed in for a quick find.

There were quite few muggles parked here having their lunch, so the cache was well placed for us to search without being seen.

Headed to Hervey bay for my annual pilgrimage to see my daughters on their first day of school for the year. Lucky there's a couple of hundred of caches between Hervey Bay and home.
This was cache **46** of **70** All caches were found with ease and in good condition unless otherwise said, and I thank each of the Cache Owners for placing and maintaing these caches. I apologise for the generic logs, it doen't mean the effort has not gone unnoticed.
Beautiful tree, nice easy find and was in good condition

After finding the caches I needed to complete Wonders of the World, I took advantage of a quiet Sunday in Maryborough to find some other caches.
On arriving at GZ there were plenty of Ibises looking around for food scraps. As I got out of the car they all looked at me ... wondering where the food was!! After explaining to them all that I was food-less today, I quickly spotted the cache. The log is delicate, but I was able to sign my name and gently fold it back up to put in the cache. The Ibises came for one more look as I was walking back to the car ... they are very friendly and curious .... and maybe annoyed that I had no snacks for them!!

Beautiful place. I had many fond childhood memories here. Found it, stamped log and replaced cache.
A few cars around, had to quickly duck in and out, felt like I was being watched. Logs seen better days but was amazing to see how long it was there for.
11th find of the day, after a DNF on the bridge, kept walking this was a quick find by Wazza9, stamped log and replaced. Thanks to Stopalot.
TFTC,
Always great to visit and catch up with cachers we have made friends with over the years.
Out again making the best of our time on day 2 in the area.

Driving to Maryborough this afternoon, spending the night there and then on to a job on Thursday morning.
Doing a loop of MB aiming to log the quick one's today, saving the longer ones for another time.
After a meal nearby I went for a walk to collect this cache.
Thank you for hiding this cache

Evening walk after work. Quite a few boat trailers in the car park. thanks for bringing me here
Found by Mary and David at 13:45. No, no she didn't do it! We left Melbourne last month to attend QOGM 2029, then continued on to Townsville, where we met on the RAAF Base in 1971. So many of these trees. A beautiful parasite. Our thanks to Stopalot.
We were out walking our geomut and grabbing a couple of caches. As we drew near to GZ the sun was setting and the colours reflected in the Mary were stunning. TFTC.
